I just bought a motor mount. I see At the beginning you put the motor mount flush with the frame. Is that a good thing to do? Also when you marked your holes before drilling did you place the marks center?
Seems like a waste, figure the are small block and large block engines. Just mock up position for the new mower and slot the old plate, engine has more clearance and you keep cash in your pocket.
It serves multiple purposes, one being able to move the engine side to side meaning you’re able to move the engine depending on clutch positioning and being Able to swap out sprockets and lining up the clutch without having to drill any holes is a plus….once you add a sprocket adapter and a 420 sprocket the whole engine would need to be moved because the sprocket is out more do to sprocket adapter. Secondly being able to tighten the chain on the fly without having to weld or buy new chain tensioner wheels is a blessing from the plate. Third you’re able to run a torque converter depending on how you mount it without having to lift the engine up to the recommend height…meaning you’re able to keep the stock gas tank on the engine unlike other torque converter mounts out there.
Nice video man. Appreciate it.
