- In this video I guide you through my painting process for how to choose/choosing a paint scheme for any warhammer army. It can then be used for Speedpainting or batch painting an army. I paint the Kruleboyz from the Age of Sigmar Dominion Box. It could be used to help you pick your warhammer army paint scheme for the new edition of Age of Sigmar.
I paint all of the models -
Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof

Killaboss with Stab-Grot
Swampcalla Shaman and Pot-Grot

This channel is about painting converting and kitbashing miniatures for your warhammer & d&d games, Age of sigmar, warhammer 40k games and Necromunda. I will maybe paint Space Marines, Space Wolves, Stormcast Eternals, cities of sigmar, chaos space marines, painting scale models or miniature busts in the future. I've done how to paint guides you could use them for how to paint d&D I may do a conversion guide for Darktide or Dark tide however it is spelled. And in the future I will build and paint some terrain for my miniature war gaming wargaming hobby. I will be painting up the Dominion Box too!

I'm not really sure why or how, but your channel is the one that actually got me interested in buying an airbrush, trying to paint an entire army in one go, and heavy weathering. My wallet wil not thank you, but my 3k points worth of Beastmen will!
Awesome! Glad I inspired you! Sorry I made you spend so much haha! Share your progress with me on Instagram if you have it:)
@@SlayerMiniatures I just might! Still in the building & prep phase though so it might take a little while
They're the best orks I've seen
Thank you 😊 glad you liked them!
You're style is awesome. Helps keep the motivation flowing. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
Around the 12 minute mark is by far my most favourite part of the video 🤩 dab dab
Thanks Sarah :D I am very street.
Amazing paint job as usual Tom! It's great aswell to see the process you take before painting your models!
Thanks Aaron :)
These look amazing mate well done
Thanks Danny!
Another great video. Nice to see someone showing the mistakes they made along the way and how they fixed them!
Thanks 😊 yes it's important to note failures and how you fix them. That's how I learn and improve :)
Thank you for sharing your process, my favourite quote was "I'd start with, Orcs don't exist" 😂😂😂
Haha well, people limit themselves by following 'rules'. If it looks cool..just paint it that way ha!
Great job, mate. Your OSL on these was ‘chef’s kiss’. Such, that I immediately ordered some yellow ink ^_^ Loved the color scheme on these.
Thanks Raul 😊 glad you like it! That ink is amazing!
I absolutely love your videos and ideas. I'm working on a Necron Combat patrol and I have this idea to do a scarab themed iridescent for the metal so like a semi-shiny black but with blue rainbow like effects, just like a scarab beetle. Some kind of "living" metal. I'd love to hear what techniques you would use to go about this. I have a few things I might try but I'd love your take. Thanks for everything you do man!
Thanks for the feedback 😀 I appreciate it a lot. That's a very cool idea! As for making your own iridescent look I'd maybe try painting it in the same way as muzzle burn, with sepia, fleshwash, purple and blue Inks. Or even easier and cooler...colours shift paint! Some companies like greenstuff world and turbodork make them! In lots of colours too! Hope that helps :)
Most under rated guy on UA-cam big kiss from France ;)
Thanks Kiri! 😊
This is amazing, you're really creative!
Thank you 😊 kind words
Amazing video, your channel really deserves more attention.
Thanks 😊 glad you enjoyed it, something a little different
I really love the mud style, so sticky haha
Thanks that paint is awesome. And will last me a lifetime ha!
Brilliant vid really enjoyed seeing your thought process behind your concept 👍👍
Thank you sassy lassie
Brilliant video! I have a similar process too. I always try and relate a paint scheme/conversions to an idea, philosophy or aesthetic that I find transcendently compelling in lots of different media. It’s definitely a way really invest yourself in the hobby. Loving your channel, exactly the type of content I love.
Thanks otto :) yeah this is the best way to paint. Investing yourself in it. I normally paint in silence too! The whole time I'm imagining the battle they are having. It's very relaxing too, just letting your mind wander.
@@SlayerMiniatures I’m exactly the same haha! It’s so great to hear there’s other people who approach the hobby in this way.
Your such an amazing painter man I love watching your vids
Thank you so much 😀
@@SlayerMiniatures no problem your videos are such an inspiration to me thank you!!
Good :) exactly why I make them :)
Those are awesome!
Thanks Paul 😊
Your painting stile looks very fast and effective, good job
Thank you. How do you decide on a paint scheme?
@@SlayerMiniatures i just decide the main color and then slap paint on the model untill is done. For shure using reference photos helps a lot, but my style is the opposite of yours, I paint in a very cartoon/comics style
Oh cool! I was thinking of trying a cell shaded style! Seen lots of people do it, and one of my favourite games is borderlands!
@@SlayerMiniatures is been a wile since I posted in Instagram but if you want go like some of my minis, my account is the same of there
Fabulous work 👍
Thank you Yvonne 😊
Great concept. Good video. Subscribed :)
Thank you! Glad you like it! Check out my other videos, lots of random schemes and tips
This looks awsome.
Thank you :) one of my most favourite projects...but not super popular🤷♂️
@@SlayerMiniatures I think thats more of a case of the Orruk wartribes not being that popular in general.
At 13:15, on the leather. Is that a dry qtip? Or still using some spiri?
That is dry in that one. I use dry ones when you want to remove it from a raise surface. Sort of like an edge highlight
Subbed! I love your content so far. Hope you kip going 💪
Thank you :) plenty more to come!
You've inspired me Tom ... I now need you to talk me through starting my own UA-cam Channel. In time to record our Crusade Campaign.
🙂 ... Simon
For sure :) it's reasonably easy!
It makes me want to repaint my whole genestealer Cults army.... XD 6000 points of which around 2000 is painted... Started painting it quite a colorful scheme, as I did not know about streaking grime etc back when I started. Next army is gonna be grim dark for sure!
Why don't you paint a test model up in the same scheme and put streaking grime on it? See what it looks like?
@@SlayerMiniatures because I did not think of that! ;P great idea ;)
Really like the mood of your Videos. Your music and narration.
Thanks Sabel 😊 more on the way!
Did you wait long between streaking grime and the black oil wash? Nice video mate
Thanks 😊 no I didn't wait long. As soon as I finished removing grime from the last model I went onto the black oil wash and started with the first model I removed grime from.
@@SlayerMiniatures Legend, thanks
Hey. You think adding basilicanum grey is necessary on the skin? Think the grime and the oil wash afterwards might make this step not so important. Just ask to safe time and money 😅 thx for the vid!
You could leave them with the white primer yeah! The oil wash would dark the skin down enough.
A real shame you do not post to the US. I would have easily surpassed 200 pounds in my bidding.
I do post worldwide 😀 new tyranid project on the way!
@@SlayerMiniatures You ebay listing said you didnt but I'm very glad to hear that.
How much black oil paint do you add to how much white spirit?
Honestly it's not an exact measurement. It's just a blob of it. I then see how thick it is. If its too thick I add more spirit.
