@@homeimprovements 1 last question. Well stuck vinyl tiles remove or leave? Not falling apart this is in the hall way it really small too so not a complicated area However in the bathroom they look like poundland vinyls remove? Fill in the gaps with filler? Get a professional in?
I came here to learn all about laying flooring and all I got was really distracted 😍 Then I go check out more videos and what do ya know? There’s two of you! 😍😍 Thanks for the tips n tricks….. not sure I learnt much but I did get pure viewing pleasure 😂
I have tiled floor in my bathroom..should i still use adhesive spray and imapct tape if i am to use a self adhesive vinyl? Btw i watched ur tutorial on self adhesive installation❤❤❤ where did u use the hook blade?
Great video. Question, why are you using spray adhesive? Surely the impact (double sided) tape is going to be able to stick to the floor anyway without the spray adhesive.
Nothing wrong with a concave. That’s what I use when fitting contract flooring . I find cushion floors are easier with a hook . If it works mate it works
Great advice! I've done a few with good results, but I've struggled with trying to make all the cuts before bringing the vinyl into the room. This method looks waay better. Thank you!
Awesome tutorial. What do you think about using more spray adhesive beyond the tape so the vinyl is glued down more? I'm planning on doing this for the first time.
What specifically about the install would you have done differently? The instructional video for laying sheet vinyl in a bathroom home depot has on their site is nearly identical (besides the fact that he didn't show the silicone caulking step to seal it at the end). I'm not looking to argue or anything, just genuinely curious what a pro would suggest I do differently as an individual about to attempt this themselves for the first time.
@@devonenders5193 first of all you need to remove the toilet and replace wax gasket when re installing it , next you need to use an appropriate adhesive and trowel it to the subfloor, best way to lay the vinyl is to place it with 2 inch or so extra @ all sides , possibly netting one side to limit cutting , fold half of the vinyl back and glue , then use a roller or just a small piece of 2x4 covered with a towel, to push out any bubbles, working from the center outward , then fold back the other side of the vinyl and repeat , you can crease the vinyl down at the wall with a wide chisel covered by a damp rag , trim it with a utility knife . Booyah your welcome
Uk plumbing is different. There a lot more involved you have to drain waste turn off main cold water feed and unbolt toilet 🚽 which comes under plumbing which is a a total different job title

Thanks dude! I did it today and did an OK job of it.
Would it be possible to slide the vinyl under the toilet by lifting it slightly if possible?
Can you just come over and do it for me😅
Just use a painting George while spraying the edges
Cheers for that. Top man
Great instructions!
Never heard of impact tape and can’t find it?

You can but the adhesive must be suitable for vinyl otherwise it can migrate through causing staining 😊😊😊
Please do not do anything here as a flooring contractor of 40 years it’s all wacko ok , jeeeeeze
You live in America without even asking the question. We do stuff differently in the uk
@@homeimprovements fair enough , end results is what matters
