Was gonna go with the 12” due to portability. But it really seemed too small, and I didn’t think I’d feel it was as good a tool/deterrent. So I opted for the 16”. Just received it, very happy.
hmm,did they change smth because from what i check and heard the outershaft was made from 4140 steel while the mid and handle were made from Aluminum.Anyway, great review there
If you unscrew the endcap of the baton you will find a retention clip that governs how difficult it is to expand. You can adjust the clip to make it easier but too much and it will not stay closed.
That is common with friction loc batons. You can wrap a small rubber band around the base of the tip and it will stabilize the shaft when retracted. The talon batons are quiet when closed but have a bit of play when expanded.

Nope, still too small. Go for 21 otherwise u just wasting time.
Perfect weapon for quiet kids, use it against the bullies
As Master Ken would say, Always restomp that groin!
You didn't show how the clip works or where you would clip it. I wanted to see how it functioned with practical wear and use
This video helped me decide which length I’ll get, thanks.
What did you get?

Are lightweight batons effective for self defense?
ASP says the Airweight weighs about 45% less than the other ASP Friction Loc batons yet it loses only 2% of its striking potential.
I wish these came with the electroless finish.
I bought a P21 recently and it wont extend when I flick. How do I fix this?

Great video !
Hi Miles,
Is the P16" and the P21 are the same diameter thickness? Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks again for the video.
Yes ,they have the same diameter (P12 ,16 and 21) same with the normal batons, doesn't matter the length, they all have the same diameter.
Mine rattles a lot when closed making it hardly concealable. Is this just mine, or is that just the way its made?

where did you get the 21 inch one from can't find them
Hello, These are direct from ASP and available on our webstore. Links are in the comment section above.
Olá,
Creio que o meu veio quebrado porquê não consigo fechar.
You must close them on a solid surface like concrete or asphalt.
My P16 is very hard to put it back. Can I adjust how hard it is by expanding??
I am having the same problem. :/
@@swexyandrei1it's not a problem that's how friction lock baton works. Just pound it down on the ground perpendicularly.
