Love the technique where you removed and made watery the paint on the birds, and the technique of applying the fluid paint on the birds. Never thought to do that! So trying this. Thanks for sharing.
Great demonstration of how to keep smaller multiple pulls in register..and lovely results. Not sure how this would work for larger prints when the 'pull' is often a bit of a battle between me, the paper and the plate!
This is an old video... but it is a lot of fun, I've done it and found it almost addictive. This is also a great application of OPEN slow-drying acrylics, they seem to dry quickly enough on the paper, but they give you more time to play with whats on your plate.
I love your video I am an art teacher for young kids, I loved your refillable paint marker, it seems to me this would be much less messier, and more managable, could you link your recommended paint marker to purchase please?
That is a "baren" - I think Patti uses one with a traditional (I think originating in Japan) corn husk pad, but you can get them with synthetic covers as well, wherever you get printmaking supplies (art materials store, or online)
wonderful video...we were just playing with gelli plates. love the flip of the positive and negative. that was the problem...paint drying too fast. ..solution...use "open."
Thanks! It has been a wonderful combination, Gelli does a lot of demonstrations using our OPEN paints and all of our Working Artists have been provided Gelli Plates for their own work and workshops.
i tried this for my art project without the gellie plate and utterly failed😂 i just decided to take inspiration from pollock and create a more messy style.. i hope it turns out okay😢
As a 'viewer' I wasn't distracted .. didn't even notice anything odd her hair nor did I notice 'basically' until you pointed it out and even then I could barely find it. Think you need to chill dear- do some gelli printing :).
WOHHH!!!! I watched quite a number of videos and yours are the best!!!!!!! Thanks!
Beautiful, you can never go wrong when you use Golden acrylics, they are my favorite acrylic paint to use.
One of the BEST videos on Gelli printing I've seen! Very inspiring!

Really beautiful! 🕊
Fantastic tutorial - thank you. Where do these lovely stencils come from?
Where did you get those great templates?
Do you frame your Gelli prints or adhere them to canvas? How would you display these prints at an art show?
Great demo.
If it stays wet a long time are you waiting before your next step, for the paint to dry
Love it! TFS
You tell me the stencil from minute 26'6
Do you have a stencil link?
Thank you
Can you do this process on glass?

Is the Gelli plate a product for sale or is it something to make?
Gelli Plates are available at art supply stores and online: www.gelliarts.com

Her blue hair is distracting to the viewer and is her use of “basically” is “ nail scratching on the chalk board”.
