Nice playing 🙂 I remember that we spoke about the piece on discord late January/early February. I just posted this first movement two days ago😀 Are you learning second movement as well? This sonatina is just beautiful, really worth learning!
Thanks. I was intending to learn the second movement but it was going nowhere so I’m holding off for now. I saw your recording. It looked like you were playing parts slightly different. Or perhaps it’s just different finger between the hands. I recorded this a week or so ago and I’m already forgetting it.
@@DanielLearnsPiano i think that notes are exactly the same. So maybe different fingering. I have my sheet from Suzuki book 2. Honestly I can't believe that second movement is only ABRSM grade 2. I'm learning now clementi sonatina op36 no1 mvt 1 allegro and I think it's similar if not easier. Ranked as grade 3. How would you compare those?
@@88steps81 I’ve learnt op.36 no.1 twice now. Both times it took significant amounts of time to play. To be honest, I can’t believe I managed it after only a year. It probably is easier than the second movement of this sonatina, but I haven’t given this a proper go yet so it’s hard to say. But just the first 8 bars were giving me trouble which is why I put it off.
Great job!

Yep, nailed. Not an easy piece either.
This the one you watched on Discord. It’s funny as you can see my hands shaking near the end and how I almost miss this final chord.
