I have been doing this for over 6 months now. I started as a lifelong mouth-breather, and having my mouth taped closed was SO fucking hard for the first 6 weeks or so. But I stuck with it and I don't even think about it anymore. I now breathe through my mouth probably less than 5% of the time. I never thought this would happen.
Just discovered your channel like 30 minutes ago, gotta say it's super entertaining! Are you going to do follow up vids on stuff like the running for example, I'm very curious as to if you ever got to the 5 minute mark! haha. Either way it won't hurt my feelings if you stopped. It ain't easy to just commit to getting 5 minutes, specially when you start other goals like the muscle up and what not. Gonna hit that sub button, your channel is very cool. Please keep it up!
I'm currently back running but I had to take a lot of time off due to an ankle injury. I'm not sure when the next update but if I had to guess I'd say a few more months
Hey dude. I wanted to suggest an idea for a video. I know you probably have a whole list by now but I thought I would just suggest something I think is very cool. There is a unique way of memorizing called method of loci. It was most prominently used by greeks that memorized fables and stories orally back in ancient times. It relies on a visualization technique called "memory palace". In terms of the actual technique, there is a really good video on how to do it. Uhh the title is really clickbaity: "This Guy Can Teach You How to Memorize Anything", Its on youtube. The guy that is in the video is a USA memory champion(2006), Joshua Foer. He made a book about his journey to become the champ. Thats what got me invested into the memory stuff. I actually used the memory palace method to memorize a deck of cards in 10 minutes.. Perhaps you can try to do a similar challenge? Remembering a series of numbers or something of that sort.
I actually read Josh's book about 5 years ago but for some reason never implemented the memory palace technique. At the time, I thought it was gimmicky and assumed my poor visualization abilities would hinder me in using it effectively. But looking back, those thoughts are pretty ignorant considering I've never tried. I'll certainly consider it. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention!
@@KoreaKingy No problem man. I thought I had poor visualization abilities as well. I don't have really good/ amazing visualization abilities right now either. I am just making do with what I am given haha.
I just have one question in your video “Run 5 minutes the mile” you said you drop 7 seconds in your 400m going from 58 to a 52 seconds, I want to know what was your training that you did in order to improve so much in so little time, and I was wonder if you could give me your training program you did in order to improve so much, thank you ❤️ 🙏
I don't have the training program. I just ran a lot of 100, 200, 300 repeats, with some slower recovery work added in. But please note, I had no training and was out of shape when I first started, that's why I was able to drop so quickly.
Habit Allies yea if you start to feel any clicking when you open your mouth, stop mouth taping immediately as it can only get worse if u continue. It got so bad I couldn’t open my mouth past a certain point.
I keep making progress but then have a ton of ankle/calf pain and have to take time off. I need to get ankle surgery but the wait times are ridiculously long.
ok, but what's the science behind this? kinda bothers me that those studies just say they reported feeling better and it's healthy Lol.. Great that you experienced improvements with this but what's the actual reason behind this, is what i wanna know.
Sup Sup, Yea I agree on the longer easy runs and intervals. This method served it's purpose as it was meant to just get me back into a habit of running. Because of ankle ligament damage, it's been hard to run consistently so I haven't been able to hit my target yet.
Probably the most underrated UA-camr I've ever followed
This made my day. I appreciate it a lot!
Dude how do you not have a million subs
if only everyone was like you maybe I would be there! Thanks for the compliment my man

Your videos are so good every time! Keep on pumping them out man!
Thanks, keep up your videos too!
I TOTALLY agree - The most underrated channel I have seen on UA-cam. Awesome content. Keep it up. You are adding clear value in the world
Thanks Aakash :)
Love your videos!!

Liked before watching video.
Congrats
Thanks for the like!
Great video! I was wondering if you're still doing the mile a day until sub 5. If so, when will be the next update?

Loved it! Im gonna try it
Good luck! Do you work at a hospital by chance?
i would like to try this but i have a moustache
haha that would be painful
Helllo, if you are still here, do you still use this? Does it bother your lips, regarding they are a sensitive part of our face?
Yo are you still gonna do the mile a day thing I thought that was really dope and think you could have done it
Best vids

I tried mouth taping but it gave me TMJ problems because I started clenching while sleeping! Beware!
Interesting. I don't seem to clench so hasn't been a problem for me but thanks for the heads up for others!

I really love your videos, but I think it would be cool with a few more updates on each of the things you do. Like one update a month per habit.
That's a good idea. I've thought about doing it in the past but just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe I'll start doing more of that
How old are you?
where do you buy the banaids?
Mine are from Korea, but I've seen similar on Amazon
So you never did the 5 minute mile?
Not yet because of injuries. I'll get to it someday!
@@KoreaKingy Ok, sounds good. same here, achilles for me. It was good content though.
when do u plan on doing the next mile every day video
I second this question
I keep making progress but then have a ton of ankle/calf pain and have to take time off. I need to get ankle surgery but the wait times are ridiculously long.
Hey great information were did you get the band aids?
Mine are from Korea but you can get them on Amazon
@@KoreaKingy thanks- I should have watched till the end.

Aye man if you haven’t gotten that 5 minute mile it means that method is trash. You need to have longer easy runs as well as intervals.
