When I quit caffeine I noticed several things:
1. Anxiety completely diminished
2. Sleep quality was amazing. Fell asleep 3 hours earlier each night without a racing mind
3. Social anxiety went away
4. Stopped fidgeting - phone use went way down & I felt no need to be on it
5. Felt able to focus on one single task without being distracted by anxious thoughts
6. I was able to be much more present in the moment because my mind was calm
7. Appetite normalized & gut inflammation that had been a problem went away
Quitting caffeine is hell but when you get to the other side you’ll feel like you’ve woken up from a very long dream. You’ll be a human “being” again, not a human “doing”. It takes away the bodies ability to generate energy organically. I never ever thought it would be the source of the issues listed above but it was.
How long did it take your energy to normalise? I'm in day five of quitting and I'm slower than a sloth.
Like all these other negative testimonial here -- you already had issues. In that case, caffeine may enhance them, but it does not cause them.
How long after stopping coffee until you felt those benefits?
Krane ua-cam.com/video/y_xA70lWrDs/v-deo.html
@@krane15 U are in denial caffeine does cause them on some people, yes for others people it does not but this do not mean it's their own fault or their "already have issues", please, stop thinking like that drugs have side effects and everyone who suffer from them is just a normal being.
Bottom line, if you're someone who says, "I need coffee to wake up" then you have a problem.
Thats me, I smoke tons of pot at night so need coffee to get me going, I used drink bangs 2 times a day
i drink coffe and i go to sleep LOL
That's like most people I know...if they don't get their coffee they get borderline aggressive.

I gave up coffee almost 2 years ago. I have IBS and through my own experimentation, coffee was the cause. Cutting out coffee and eating more fiber (just a bowl of oatmeal a day) has literally changed my life.
TBH this video is totally good. Solid content. And better than Matt devalla no coffee video..,👍
Dude same her i been in caffien for ten solid years plus and had IBS.

I quit caffeine 3 weeks ago and notice I’m stronger, make good decisions, healthier, younger looking, enjoy life more, and time does not rush by too fast like it used to!...and Thank YOU to JESUS, I won’t be bothering with it anymore!
@Chertsey Nermal how r u?
When I was 30 Jesus made it possible for me to quit alcohol and smoking. Now I am 35 and I think coffee is next. I have panic attack disorder so I really want to stop (I had no idea that coffee can cause full blown anxiety disorders) :( . I have cut back a lot and today is my first day without. I am at a point where even 1 cup bothers me so I really want to quit.

So why can’t jesus solve child abuse in his churches 😮?
Day 2 no coffee. I feel calmness I haven’t had in ages.
Same here!! Currently 1.5 days without caffeine and it feels great:) so far no withdrawal symptoms fingers crossed 🤞
First 3 weeks after giving up were a nightmare! the headaches, the fatigue, the lack of concentration, but it's all worth it.
same to me, i'm on day 17 still feeling bad
No fap, no coffee, cold showers, wimhoff, 8 hours sleep everynight. no social media, no junk food.
gonna be super saiyan after all these restrictions.
It has been the HARDEST to get to this point, still working on Nicotine, but I'm right there with you we'll be on a whole new level. I'd also add meditation and exercise to this godly combo.
Lol good luck to you man 👍
No fap - you will have wet dreams and nut anyway
No coffee - has many benefits in moderation 1-2 cups a day. Measure that shit
Cold shower - try a james bond shower, hot them cold
Eight hours sleep - your body sleeps in 1.5 hour increments. Try to get 7.5 hours in keeping with that
No social media - only browse the web if you have a reason, like "i have to research xxxx"
No junk food - intermittent fasting so you can enjoy occasional junk food

The anxiety thing is true, had heart palpitations too and I only drank one cup of coffee daily.. I feel better since I quit..
I stopped coffee last year. Here is what got better after a few months:
-Gas bloating and reflux.
-Anxiety
-psoriasis
-Depression
-binge eating at nights.
Same here, how months you have withdraw, im in one week now
I decided to give up preworkout/caffiene a little over a 1 month ago due to anxiety. The first 3 weeks for me were honestly hell on earth, unmotivated, drowsy all day, would go to bed at 6-7pm, constantly hungry/anxious, and gassy. If you look up withdraw symptoms I had them all lol. But at this point, over a month later I can say its the best decision I've made and anybody who struggles with anxiety from time to time should consider stopping or cutting down significantly if you abuse it like I did. The first 2-3 are the worst, but seriously stick with it and just try to stay focused on the long run. Now I wake up with almost instant energy every morning, something I never felt while on caffiene. Also, stick to a good sleep schedule, meditate, do breathing exercises and focus on what makes you happy. Just like anything else the body needs time to rebalance itself, especially after 10+ years of caffiene.
Here are a few supplements I took during and presently that helped alot.
Irwin naturals Sunny Mood w/5-htp
Irwin naturals Stress Defy
Vitamin D
You got this, you're gonna be feeling 10000% better before you know it.
@@zlimario2976 withdrawal was bad for about 3 weeks. I took some Advil to ease the pains. I used to drink Nespresso about 4 a day. Then switched to Starbucks VIA coffees, about 3 a day. Then switched to just plain Keureg brewed coffees. Tried French press, buying non acidic beans. Etc etc etc. Nothing made a difference. Bloating, gas, binge eating, GERD was the same with all. There comes a point you just have to accept it’s coffee. Period. Also lost about 10 lbs after stopping. Less eating. Less carb cravings.
Today I drank coffee after a 5 month break. Now I have Insomnia. Never again that poison.

Garrafa Torta I only drink it once a week , or twice
@E Z you understood what i was trying to say
I just cannot tolerate coffee any more, rather, my body can’t
Some people develop anxiety in their lives. Some of it is genetic, some is acquired through lifestyle, but for most people anxiety is an "in the moment" feeling which they pretty much don't notice until the stressor hits them directly in the face. I have had GAD for 15 years, and quitting Alcohol and caffeine suppressed 90% of my symptoms completely. I drink coffee and alcohol a couple times per month knowing that the next day or later that day I will feel like sh1t..
As a doctor explained it to me, people with anxiety have a broken alarm system and they notice body noises and feelings more clearly than other people..but are otherwise the same as everyone else.. Alarms such as "feeling of doom", "shakiness", "restlessness", "unable to sleep/insomnia", frequent bathroom trips" and in some cases even "symptoms of a heart attack" without the actual attack.
Great info and glad to hear of your successes
Peter M so true
Same for me. Started having panic attacks, being anxious all the time for no reasons. Stopped caffeine for 2 months and was back as myself again. Though i used alcohol to help me cope the anxiety of withdrawals and i dont know if i would have made it without the help of alcohol.
Le Respect I drank half a cup of green tea with caffeine in it yesterday and I’ve been having pretty bad anxiety and heart palpitations since. I really hope this goes away...
@@num1873 it does if you quit caffeine consumption, some people just don't do well with caffeine like us, i already had a panic attack from black tea so it's 100% possible green tea cause you anxiety, basically everything that have caffeine in it can cause anxiety
12 days into no caffeine. I didn’t drink coffee but drank a lot of coca-cola. I found hot tea and ice cold water helped me kick the habit. Day 8 and 9 were the hardest, but I feel so great now. Good luck everyone!
I'm pleased you mentioned Caffeine Blues. I read it a while back and have now been off caffeine for 2 months also. But, I have no intention of going back. I was only ever a 2 mug a day person, but I ate a lot of chocolate and had the odd "de-caff" too.
You hear lots of stories about a 5 /7 day withdrawal, yet in Caffeine Blues, he reckons 3 weeks till things are "balanced out!"
There are other videos on UA-cam where people reckon it's taken them up to six months to feel "normal!"
I'm totally with you on the sleep thing. My sleep is markedly better and I also get this overwhelming sense of tiredness in the late evening, which I still ignore and stay up too late watching UA-cam videos! 🤣🤣

Great video!! Im quitting coffee tmrw mainly because i am sensitive to something in the coffee which may be something other than caffeine. Coffee causes me to gain weight and its difficult for me to lose weight while drinking coffee. It causes other problems like acid reflux and water retention! Also skin issues, sleep disturbance, increased axiety, increased appetite, along with sugar cravings!! I believe it makes me depressed and messes my hormones up like increasing my cortisol levels! GOOD BYE COFFEE!!I am quitting tmrw!! Thank you for this informative video! ✨
Good luck Leigh!
From what I have learned over the years (and observing my coffee obsessed coworkers , with whom I've worked with for 12 years, for a week on and off schedule) coffee raises cortisol. Especially if one happens to work a non normal schedule, i.e, NOT sleeping at night as we are designed to ! This raises bodyfat and has a host of negative physical issues attached to it. I'm no expert, but I've worked with well over 200 people in the last 30 plus years who do shift work, and coffee is no good IMHO.
Leigh I've noticed same issues and read many studies that caffeine effects stress hormones and adrenals. Also the artificial sweeteners have shown to cause/contribute those same symptoms in sweeteners or flavored creamers.
I’ve gone 22 years of my life without drinking coffee everyday. For about 3 months when I was 13 I had coffee almost everyday (summer frappe craze) but never touched it again after. About a week ago I picked up coffee to help with my studies in the morning (the virus online schooling is making me procrastinate). I’ve also become over weight so I’m trying to intermittent fast and have read that coffee aids in fasting. I only do one cup a day and have seen many benefits in energy for my classes and appetite suppressant for my fasting. I’m sure coffee has negative affects when abused like most things in life, but right now I have a fine balance and am content with it, if anything blessed to have it.
Genetics. But it shouldnt be considered fine to consume coffee just because some people have no problems with it. It's still a drug. So society should not encourage the use of coffee in any way. Drugs are dangerous.

@@coreybixby3598 yeah yeah thats why it can cause panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorder, insomnia, and the list goes one.. it's not because you are not sensitive to caffeine that caffeine does nothing, it does nothing for YOU but some people are sensitive to it and they experience the side effects '
D Shi - Be very careful. That’s how it always starts out. I was up to two pots a few weeks ago before I started cutting it out.
I tried no coffee for 30 days and have been drinking it again for 3 days now. I think today was the last time for a while because I am not liking how it makes me feel. I feel so anxious, jittery, paranoid, bloated and I can't focus on anything.

Great video man. I recently quit drinking caffeine because of the anxiety attacks I was having as well. It’s nice to hear I’m not the only one haha. So far it’s been pretty great. I feel so much calmer and I feel as if my thoughts aren’t constantly racing. If anyone is looking to try it out, just remember it takes a few days to get over the hump, but once you do, it’s pretty awesome.
You are brilliant at putting together clips and pictures to make this amazing video. I stopped coffe 10 days ago and everything you say is extremely accurate. Thank you
Thanks I appreciate it!
I used to have a major caffeine addiction coupled with a bad porn habit many years ago. The cravings for coffee were everywhere- passing a coffee shop, smelling coffee, seeing caffeine in a gas station and the routine of having one on the way to work, have a few at work and one in the way home... I was anxious and irritable all the time unless sedated by coffee and borderline was in rate mode. Breaking the habit took months of consistency but the headaches were the worst part. Extreme 10/10 head aches. Like a knife twisted behind your eyes. While I still have a coffee once in a while without cravings, giving it up was the best decisions and all of the benefits you mentioned are true- especially falling asleep within seconds of laying down.
Nice post!
Would you say your porn habit improved by quitting caffeine/coffee?

I drank 3 to 4 cups of coffee daily for 5 years. It was the only thing fueling me since I had to get up at 3:30am to pursue my passion before my day job. I didn't realize how much it changed me until I stopped completely. I developed anxiety that would wake me up at night with my heart pounding... Made me insecure about myself.. And gave me problems in social encounters or job interviews. Once I quit coffee... That sense of dread and urgency finally started to leave my body. My boss says I'm a complely different person now. It was hard to focus for a couple weeks but mushroom tea has helped. I also weaned myself off by only having a sip in the morning. Sometimes I miss the energized happy feeling of it... And on occasion I'll have some.. But the underlying anxiety starts to creep up without me realizing it.

I would like to have a cup every once and a while, but If it's a daily thing to wake up or to function, there is something drastically wrong with the way we are doing life. I consumed roughly 450 miligrams of coffee a day and quit cold turkey a week ago. The first 3 days I was very tired all day long. A week later though I feel amazing. I no longer crash in the afternoon during the last hour or two of work and my energy lasts until bed time. I'm more focused because my mind isn't rushing, this is invaluable because I legit listen to educational podcasts during the work day and now I feel like I actually learn something and can actually "listen" to them, Regular bowel movements, and sleep feels better(I always stopped using caffeine 10-12 hours before bed so it never affected it much) but I do wake up and im ready to go instead of waiting to dtink my coffee and that being what makes me "ready to go"

I totally can relate to your video. Everything u have mentioned was the same with me. Life is much better without it, first i thought i will die without it, but with time the cravings has gone. My main reason was why ive given up coffee was i got upset and angry so quick, if something went wrong, literally in a split of a second, than i got headaches from it, cos my blood preassure went sky high. I just had my first panic ever attack 3 months ago. Scared the hell out of me. I’ve gained substantial stress in the past 3 years and it isn’t going away anytime soon. I’ve been caffeine dependent since age 19 (Coffee, energy drinks, pre workout, etc.) and I’m now 27. Caffeine has enhanced my anxiety have weened myself down to 1 cup per day and have been contemplating quitting completely. I think I’m going to quit. I’m ready to take back control of my life. I had panic attacks for 5 years about every week, sometimes several times a day. Eventually I couldn't go outside anymore because I was so afraid. I was a kid back then, I didn't drink coffee but I drank a lot of lemonade. Being on lots of sugar constantly gave me panic attacks too. I today actually have two months caffeine free, , my 1st week was terrible, I fought myself from craving it , 2nd week headaches ( damn withdrawals), by the 3rd & 4 week it became a smooth sail .
Main reason I stopped drinking coffee was because I was shredding so mush hair every day , it was ridiculous how much . So my key to success was green and Jasmine T it was an automatic natural replacement & and it works . Am so glad I took action and made the change .
I was only drinking one cup of coffee a day. Constantly had bouts of heartburn during the day and at night. It caused problems with my sleep. Gave it up a couple of weeks ago and now have no problems with heartburn. Hope to stay of coffee forever.
That's great to hear man. I know a lot of people that complain of heartburn all the time and drink coffee. I'm sure it doesn't affect everyone that way, but it is pretty prevalent. Hope all goes well.
Yup I am literally going cold Turkey on coffee today due to heart burn.
Caffeine consumption can effect the function of the lower esophageal sphincter, which is at the base of your throat. This is how it causes heartburn, by allowing your stomach acid to flow upwards. I notice a slight amount even if I've had tea.
Omg first week of no coffee was *rough* 2nd week mainly psychological, now I barely think about it. Heart burn much improved.

I've quit drinking coffee multiple times and the thing that makes me want to drink it more is less so about needing energy and more about wanting to get that "energy feeling" ... similar to needing a cigarette... and then when I actually drink it I don't get the feeling I thought I was missing and regret it, yet continue the addiction cycle. Right now I just drink decaf with a half tsp caff when I want a cup and its not as bad
yeah i quit drinking regular coffee when i realized it was what was triggering most of my anxiety attacks. i only drink decaf now
anna me too! It made me super anxious. I drink green tea now, it gives me energy but no anxiety really because it has l theanine which is calming
I hear decaf has really low percentage of caffeine not sure how true this is
Johnny Flores yeah i’ve heard that too, but luckily i don’t think the amount of caffeine in decaf seems to be enough to effect me negatively
anna great decaf is the way to go only bad thing is decaf coffee beans have a bit more saturated fat due to the process but once i gave up coffee i got headaches and felt terrible especially since my anxiety made it worse
Johnny Flores They go away. The headaches are caffeine withdrawal.
Awesome content - I’m a former caffeine addict and gave it up about 4 months ago. It has been liberating!
Great to hear Scott! I feel like a different person when I'm vs. off it
Habit Allies - It’s so nice to not be dependent on anything like that.
I have stopped drinking coffe after seeing a podcast about sleep and the bad effects of caffeïne has on it. I did sleep ok, but wanted to test it. I am not even caffïnefree for a week and I feel a lot less anxious and at ease. I contributed my anxiousness to my job, but I'm working like before, so that has not changed. I'm a lot more sleepy at night and sleep amazing and feel a lot more rested in the morning. Cool video, thx!
There's a reason it costs $.05 to make and they sell it for $4.50.
Cocaine be like, "Damn caffeine be ballin' like a mofo."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 cocaine wants to be coffee when it grows up
I went off coffee for a year. It was a yo-yo ride. Headaches, and then I started to drink it again and that went away, and now I’m immune to caffeine

Great stuff bro keep it up 🤙🏼
So happy to see you have stopped your over consumption of coffee. I stopped all caffeine beverages for 7 days about 2 months ago and I just went right back to it by drinking it about 3 to 4 times a day! Today I had only one large ice coffee from Mcdonalds, I wanted another one but I resisted and I started to become very moody and quite upset because I felt I needed it. SCARY! I'll get tired of always feeling so acidic on the inside and quit it soon!
Good luck!
I can absolulety relate to your experience. I started drinking coffee quite intensively more than 10 years ago during the time I finished the university. Since then I was convinced that I need to drink coffee in the morning and afternoon to deliver results and find motivation. With the years working in stressful jobs as well I drank up to five cups of coffee a day. This was when I developed anxiety attacks that got worse and worse - I thougt it was soley because of the stressful enviroment and I quit my former job. Of course the anxiety attacks where reduced but still present from time to time. In retrospective they happened when I drank coffee or took painkillers containing coffein. Lately my whole digestion was suffering - my colon hurt all the time my stomach was hurting as well - I was tense all the time and felt no relaxation at all. By incident I stopped drinking coffee like I used to now 30 days ago. Reduced the amount to one cup a day - the difference blew me away. The tension disappeard and also the heavy tiredness when I didn't have my former amount of coffeein - my wife says I'am way more relaxed than before, the stomach and colon pain are now merely present, I haven't had this dizzyness and anxiety I felt on a regular basis already and I didn't grave for a beer in the evening to calm myself down. I also have more focus now and am able to remember things more quickly for longer periods. I will stick to one cup a day for enjoyment purposes soley but never should I return to my level of coffein I drank before. -> don't fool yourself, coffein is a drug and it's not harmless at all!
I love coffee but unfortunately I had to quit. Lately i was feeling extremely anxious & insomnia. I crave it almost every morning though
Update: I’m back drinking coffee 😂
thank you so much for this. when i quit caffeine like 10 days ago i started feeling calmer and felt like i was going back to normal after like 5 days. but then i read somewhere on internet that “caffeine doesn’t cause anxiety” bla bla and that suddenly made me feel so bad, i felt like all those things that went inside my head at the times i was drinking coffee was my fault and i thought i had to live with it. even after searching about caffeine allergy i thought doctors would not accept caffeine allergy as a reason and would just give me medication if i tried to get therapy. people need to accept that all bodies are reacting different to food. just because some people “can’t wake up” without coffee, it doesn’t mean that others may suffer from it. without knowing this, just don’t write about it on internet, it just kills people’s hope. now i’m much more hopeful that i’ll be getting better.
Thanks for advice. I see that I totally should try this
I cut caffeine in January, so almost 6 months no coffee. It was rough the first month. I did because coffee triggered gallbladder attacks, the headaches have stopped and I feel good. I miss the taste alot, my husband still drinks it and i make it for him, it smells sooo good!!!
how much did you drink a day?
@@b__w_4565 one cup a day, maybe two. I've been caffeine free for over a year
@@chrissya4135 You still cafeine free ?
@@Ayrad160 yes I am still caffeine free from coffee. I may have a piece of chocolate here and there, but no other caffeine.
@@chrissya4135 Tough girl , I guess I need to do the same 😏 and how do you feel ? Or after quitting for a few months nothing has changed ?
Something more important that antioxidants is a naturall sleep cycle
Thank you for sharing, I also quit coffee because of panic attacks, anxiety, and IBS
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
I am trying to quit coffee, so hard to quit coffee but I try, I try to quit it.
Keep it up, you can do it!

Stick at it. This is what happened to me: firstly, instant wakeup and 100% energy right out of bed, ready AND motivated to do stuff immediately, and much better energy levels all day (excepting post-meal nap, but instant wakeup from that too). Procrastination massively reduced, low-level anxiety gone, chill doing nothing or sitting with boring people is ok, less boredom, less impatience, less shouting, slow movies are fantastic, walks etc are so great, enjoy other people so much more, listen rather than talk, easier to study, less tumbly thoughts and snap reasoning (presumably a brain geared to flight and fight), better for math of complex ideas, todo lists: low-priority fun-stuff gets done last........ the list is endless. VS a kind of fake energy which when less tolerant of caffeine (eg, from zero to back on the beans) is great for brainstorming (although risk of panic attacks as well) and can be good for energy for activities you don't procrastinate ( but a disaster for those you do procrastinate), but when tolerant just brings you to normal but not as good quality energy. Aand with caffeine, only happy doing stimulating things not humdrum (unless procrastinating something even more painful), to do list: low-priority fun stuff first, lots of procrastinating. Full effect can take a while, though; 30 days may not be enough. Also coldturkey is awful, much better to taper. Since you become very sensitive when off for long enough, unfortunately even chocolate can get you going and has to be an occasional treat. which is a bummer.
@@francisgeorge7639 thank you. I am now 2 weeks no coffee.
I plan on quitting caffeine tomorrow also due to anxiety attacks.
Hang in there.
I am about 12 days in with no caffeine. I never drank coffee, but a lot of coca-cola. Around day 8 was the toughest for me. How are you doing? I feel great now!
Coffee has really been making me feel this way and I've drank it whole life but I'm gonna have to give it up.
I went through panic disorder for a couple months when I was 16. Definitely changed my entire life. I get panic attacks from coffee but not from monster energy. I gave up monsters just recently, hoping that limiting my caffeine intake will help prevent development of dependence on caffeine when I grow older. I feel relevantly nothing when I experience a panic attack unless I'm driving, I do have worse panic attacks if I feel out of shape because I try to contribute the panic to the result of medical emergency.
You have to be cautious when dealing with scientific studies. Sometimes there's big money behind them and when you're dealing with caffeine, you're not just dealing with coffee companies, you're also dealing with Coca Cola. I think that's why there's so many articles preaching about how great caffeine is for us. Given how nasty the withdrawl symptoms are and how negatively it affects our sleep, the thing that's so important for our restoration, it's a good indication that caffeine isn't something we should abuse. It should be respected and used sparingly.
Not sometimes, but most of the times
I had immense headaches when I first quit but I kept at it. headaches lasted about 3days. Now all I drink is a ton of water about 5 litres per day. My mental clarity for work and study is much better now
False. Unless you were OD on coffee in the first place. Other, caffeine increase your mental clarity, enhances sensory input, increase memory and allows you to think better. I'm referring to healthy normal people and those that don't over consume it. If you're naturally hyper/anxious you need to stay away from caffeinated beverages. This what the author of the video should have specified.
not all people have anxiety, I have only one ☝️ latte in the mornings and feel good.
I was those guys who always sipped on an energy drink throughout the day. I guess I was just dehydrated most of the time and blamed the caffeine.
I'm experimenting with whole Italia beans and I love it!! I drink it Black and grind it myself with organic filters no bleach. It has too many benefits but I may start drinking every other day.
I had same panic attack ( Dyspnea ) as you a month ago, I even hospitalized in Emergency, although I didn’t use to drink more than 60-80 mg/daily .. but still this amount affected me. So i stopped any caffeine source including tea. And my heart is beating normal now. Even doctor asked me what you did. I answered i stopped caffeine.
I haven't had caffeine in 5 1/2 years.
The only thing I miss is the energy I received from it.
there's no energy in coffee its stress that you get from it
Whenever i have caffeine my stomach and muscles along my gi tract cramp up. It doesnt hurt but everything gets really tight. Other than some bloating and gas along with it, i have zero other symptoms that would suggest IBS or an allergy. Does anybody else experience this?
E Z haha ass.
It took me 3 years to figure out caffeine was the cause of my chronic constipation. I had always heard caffeine was a diuretic, so I never thought it could cause the exact opposite problem
I started drinking coffee a year ago because of what I read about its health benefits. I love coffee so much and usually had with a toast early in the morning. I've noticed the difference since I stopped for almost two weeks now. My brain feels less foggy and am more energetic. Also my face seems clearer as well.
