  • Bees Fly Free At Air Bee N Bee!
In this video I remove bees from a bird house on location & transfer them into a "Nuc" or rather Nucleus hive, a 5 frame beehive.
In most states, Louisiana included, it is illegal to keep bees in any type of set up that does not have removable frames. Naturally, this beehive had to be transferred into standard beekeeping equipment with removable frames.
I had permission from the home owner to do whatever I desired with the bird house.
Hopefully this explanation of things will give you insight as to why I did what I did.
The bees were & still are a very gentle bee colony. They were given a new queen & currently reside in Gonzales, Louisiana.

    I used to hate Bees.
But the more I watch your Videos I grow amazed and captured by them.
Same for Ants, I hated them...
But then I started to watch Videos.
We hate things and show fear because we dont know anything about them except
"They Bite/Sting and theres a lot of them!"
Learning how they function and how they communicate, what makes them upset and what they like, definitely gives you new views on the world

Without all you guys on youtube sharing your knowledge I'd be like all the other people walking down the sidewalk and just walk around it or crossed the street to the other side to avoid the bees. Well, yesterday I walked amongst them with no fear with the knowledge I have gained from all you youtube posters. All I had was a 5-gallon bucket a painters pole and a cardboard box. JP. Another interesting video. In this instance, with the amount of comb you transferred, and the number of bees recovered, is this nuke almost over populated even before the new queen potentially starts to lay? Probably a good “problem” to have if this is the case. 🙂. Thanks for posting this one.

Most of this was filmed with my old Sony handicam but I did use my smartphone & a new camera for some parts.
Honestly, it’s likely the new computer & editing software that’s giving a more polished look IMO.
The 40 year old bee hive in Catalpa tree was the first video edited & produced with the new puter & software.

JP, if the queen ain't there and even if you took out all the queen cells for the royal jelly thats fine. As long as the brood cells that you repatriated back to a better casa contain freshly laid eggs. My friend you're golden. By the way, royal jelly is good for ya. For people with heart condition, blood disorders to folks with weak immune system or digestive issues. Hence the reason up here in Commiefornia folks from Asia, primarily Japan and China try to buy the thing in bulk and HiHo it back to their respective country.

There were no worker eggs for them to make a new queen.
My take on supplements is if the body needs them it will utilize them.
I may be one of few who actually like royal jelly, idk. Heck, I love durian! So there you go. 🤘☺️🐝
