- Bees Fly Free At Air Bee N Bee!
In this video I remove bees from a bird house on location & transfer them into a "Nuc" or rather Nucleus hive, a 5 frame beehive.
In most states, Louisiana included, it is illegal to keep bees in any type of set up that does not have removable frames. Naturally, this beehive had to be transferred into standard beekeeping equipment with removable frames.
I had permission from the home owner to do whatever I desired with the bird house.
Hopefully this explanation of things will give you insight as to why I did what I did.
The bees were & still are a very gentle bee colony. They were given a new queen & currently reside in Gonzales, Louisiana.
Keep on making videos please, your my favourite bee man
I think those gals will be a lot happier in their new, roomy condo than in that "fixer-upper opportunity" studio apartment~
I don't know how I got into watching all these bee video channels but you're 100% one of my favourites lol keep ot up
sancho taco honestly same bro lmao
You were alone with your thoughts in lockdown. Then one day you said why the hell not watch some guy remove a bee colony without wearing a bee suit.
Just like THAT a bee fan is born.
I've watched every video twice, now I can imitate JPs voice....I walk around the house annoying my wife and daughter doing JP impressions. It's the best.
💯
@@staive70ss 😂 thats brilliant! Real southern, love that accent
The video quality and editing are amazing! Keep up the great work JP! Happy to see the direction of your work!
Thecway you kept pulling comb out of that thing, I felt like this bird house was one of those small clown cars where the clowns just keep coming out. I'm thinking, how much comb could possibly be in there??lol
It’s funny you say that because I was thinking the same thing. While editing the footage I was even amazed at what I pulled out of that birdhouse that day! 🤘🐝
I was thinking that too!
I personally adore how you are handling what many people consider pests in a way that is safe and allows the hive to survive
I thought you were going to taste that royal jelly and tell us what variety honey bees they were. :)
Apparently only Yappy has those distinct powers. 🤣
Y'all are my two favorites. Bee well!
Hey, JP. I love the new informative cuts in the video with the examples. It's a great new format, keep it up & take care of yourself and the bees.
I used to hate Bees.
But the more I watch your Videos I grow amazed and captured by them.
Same for Ants, I hated them...
But then I started to watch Videos.
We hate things and show fear because we dont know anything about them except
"They Bite/Sting and theres a lot of them!"
Learning how they function and how they communicate, what makes them upset and what they like, definitely gives you new views on the world
Edit: Im surprised no "Birds and the Bees" Joke was made lol Loved the video and ima go check out the other two bee keepers
Brent Fritts how do you feel about wasps and hornets? I ask because I was terrified of bees until I started JP but I’m still scared of the others.
@@amytih47 If I see wasps on my property I leave them because they do a great job of eating garden pests like cabbage worms. Wasps won`t bother you unless you start crap with them.
You're the best of all the Bee people. Barnyard Bees is informative as well. Nobody does it like JP though. That line, Air Bee and Bee is what epitomizes this great channel.
Thanks Yappy and DirtRooster for helping JP with his channel, and thanks JP for another amazing video
The Dirt shared some dirt with Yappy & then Yappy shared Dirt’s dirt with me, understand? 😁
@@JPthebeeman Dirt Rooster is how I found out about your channel.
Tom Jones Dirt’s good people. ✌️🐝
@@JPthebeeman I binge watch y`all`s videos. I`m in central Louisiana in LaSalle parish.
Great catch! Great video! Great channel! Eating that "royal jelly" you'll be a laying drone. :-)) Tree cutout to birdhouse cutout, you make the nasty ones look easy. Thanks for sharing.
JP - I caught my first swarm ever yesterday. Without all you guys on youtube sharing your knowledge I'd be like all the other people walking down the sidewalk and just walk around it or crossed the street to the other side to avoid the bees. Well, yesterday I walked amongst them with no fear with the knowledge I have gained from all you youtube posters. All I had was a 5-gallon bucket a painters pole and a cardboard box. I ended up going home with freebees get it freebie lol.... Keep up the good work
I could watch these for hours. Knowing there's people like you out there, making effort to help save the bees... you are a hero of nature, my friend. Well done, and thanks for the awesome education!
Nadine B. ✌️😘🐝
I'm always learning new things about these beautiful creatures, keep it up JP :)
ahh my morning coffee with JP THE bee man nothing like it; loving those bees so calm and gentle free bees, free honey, free video how can you go wrong; all the best JP
That bird house looked like a bottomless pit of honey. How did it all fit in there?
Although never as much fun, you should have called me to come get that. I love birdhouse bees. It's second only to having a bee tree in my front yard. But still a great video. Thanks for the love JP. Talk soon.
I tried calling you Yappy but your wife said you turn your phone off when at the all you can eat ramen noodle buffet. Smh, these could have been your bees but nooooo, ramen noodles always come before anything in your world. 😜
JP the realtor, mover, life coach, private contractor, mechanic, professional taste tester .......for Bees only no humans need apply or contact hahahaha
🤘🤣🐝
He drops them off around the corner. Thats why he doesn't get stung, they have worked together before. Ive seen this bit. Lol
When I grow up I wanna be just like JP! Hahah. Cheers my friend!
@Richard Aubergine I also work with bees. I do removals as well. But JP is definitely a bear pretending to be a man. Hahah
Those bees sure make it hard to demolish a birdhouse gently!!! Randy, Yappy, Mr Ed, and you are too blame for my very first swarm capture yesterday and the ensuing work i have to get done in short order to begin my journey into a new hobby. My friend has volunteered and has been helping me get started and be a personal coach. Its been a good week. Thanks
J.P. you are my hero. I love watching your videos. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge of honey bees. That bite of honey comb looked delicious. Hope to see you again real soon.
Incredible how many combs are in such a small birdhouse
Thank you for your videos they're excellent
I am learning so much
I’m new, and have been watching your older videos. You’re so different than what I was expecting, in a good way! You’re very kind and informative. I hope I don’t ruin your reputation with the boys 😂❤️ GREAT WORK!!!
I loved this video JP. Thank you yet again for saving more bees and for the educational parts of the video. I learned a lot from this one. If you can teach us more in your upcoming videos that would be awesome. God bless
Your a pleasure to watch work, staying calm and in tune with the bees while getting the job done. This is Collin Baggett we met at the Zemurray Gardens last week. Hey If I have ever have some time off maybe I can hang out and help you shoot a video? Stay healthy wealthy and wise my friend. Keep up the good work and I look forward to crossing paths again.
Great videos !!! I love your voice, New Orleans was my home town for 40 years. Had to move away, but I will always remember the good people there, and food ! lol. Your accent makes me smile. Keep making videos please, God Bless
I got into watching bee videos to learn about Africanized bees and how to recognize them from the nicer bees so I started watching everybody's channel but out of all of them I like your channel the best I find it more informative and A LOT more fun to watch. The others are LET'S WORK THESE BEES. You're just let me show you the inner workings of a hive and how the bees git her done.
Well-done video. You've upped your game.
FYI don't you think you should have used a vac? It was a nice hive Young hive and I would say awesomely 2 Queens at least the honey hive set an alarm not to leave thank you for sharing your experiences with us awesome camera work very good see you at the next hive AKA honey hole
This has to be one of my favorite videos so far. I will check out your bee buddies, but you remain my favorite Bee Man!
I am so glad you are continuing to record and post videos! I have learned a lot from you, and your voice and the sounds of the bees really help me deal with my migraines and anxiety! Thank you!
Catherine Amelia 👍🐝
Same here!
You are always so careful- Even with a single bee. I have watched every video you have ever made and have never seen any other... it is your way. It has to be gratifying to see the subscriptions growing. I am glad for the good and growing success.
Thank you sir, I appreciate that, means a lot, you brought a smile to my face. ✌🏻🐝
628 Dirt Rooster, Yappy, Mr. Ed and JP. You're all great! Watching your videos got me into beekeeping three years ago. Also check out a guy in my neck of the woods, Ohio. He's Jason Chrisman. He's pretty interesting too. Love your stuff. Thanks JP!
JP. Another interesting video. In this instance, with the amount of comb you transferred, and the number of bees recovered, is this nuke almost over populated even before the new queen potentially starts to lay? Probably a good “problem” to have if this is the case. 🙂. Thanks for posting this one.
Indeed a good situation to have when trying to make a new queen. These were given a new queen however, so they didn’t have to work for it! Spoiled em’! ☺️
Really enjoyed the close-up shots you had in here. Great for educating new keepers and people who want to be keepers (ie me).
Thank you Sir, Please keep them coming. I always get excited when I see you have a new video out.
Outstanding quality!
Nice vid like always! Greetings from Germany!
I think if you do edited voice over during the video that would substantially improve the videos. I would love to hear stories and experiences from your life and work while the bees buzz about
I’ve actually thought of this & even did a little of this but thanks for the reminder! 🤘👍🐝
Nice shout out! By far my three favorite channels. I learned a lot from you guys, and gave me the confidence to help other new beeks!
Another great video JP, and great to hear you mention your fellow beeks. LONG LIVE JP
Glad to see another JP The BeeMan video on my feed!
You’s a bad mutha! Great vid...yadda yadda. Will you ever have a bad vid is my question 😂
Love it.You are Extremely important...Fantastic all the way...🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏿
So many bees in one old Purple Martin house. I am amazed how many bees and cone where in there. It was a great video.
Till your next video. Have a good One JP.
Great video as always. Put that birdhouse back up and get more bees in a week or two. 😁
Another great video as usual. You make it look way too easy Jeff!! LOL. Take care!! 🐝🐝🐝☮️☯️
Thanks for a fantastic video, sheers from Sweden.
I love your channel! I've watched several others but you give a lot of information and have great uora about you. Please continue with the videos. God bless. Ps also can't wait until I get to FL, I plan on getting bees then on my property, your an inspiration for the hobby and life style. 😁😁😁
The amount of brood comb from the bird house is pretty impressive. Incredible hive, for sure.
thanks good to see you again, you Yappy, Dirtrooster, and Dfishman 76are my favorites ,thanks for the show cant wait for the next one have a super day
Man you hit the honey Jackpot thanks to that bird house for storing up thank Golden nectar
Not a fan of anything that makes a buzzing sound. because of trauma as a toddler,
but love bees as long as there's not too many in one place and honey and bees wax candles.
Thanks for the video loved how the bees were treated, your explanation/ knowledge about bees and how calm you are doing this.
Can't believe I'm watching and enjoying it even as I shiver at the sound that's alot of bees though.
Hi JP, It's been a while that I'm following your adventures. I'm about to get certified pest control here in France. but My aim is to specialise in bees removal. Could you explain about equipment and if I could use my family car to make the job. Much love, bless you.
JP you’ve taught me, and continue to do, so much I could never thank you enough! TY my brother ❤️
Was that a Bee Box or a Bird Hive? Thanks for another pleasurable upload JP! Bye the way, you need to send the DirtRooster a pair of Schawee's eagle eye glasses... his last upload the bees absconded on him;)
I like the way you do your video's. I've learned A LOT! And you make sure we can see what your doing and you explain things. Good work! Save the bees!
I would need a Star War's storm troopers uniform first! lol
JP you’re right about 628DirtRooster. He is very helpful as far as pointers with my UA-cam channel as well. Another Nice video by JPthebeeman.
good to see you back to making videos. that hive was a lot bigger than it looked.
Love your vids brother iv learned a lot from your vids and I always recommended two people having a hard time with bees.
I had the option to skip the ads but I let them play through in hopes it gets you more $$$. This is the most relaxing, new, original, content. Do you get stung often? I feel like you move methodically enough not to make them feel threatened.
They fly free at Air Bee N Bee. Great video!
I may need to utilize that! 🤘😉🐝
How do you not get attacked by all the bees?
Love your channel, I also watch 628 DirtRooster, and now I'm going to take a look at Yappy's channel.
Hi JP love your videos. I have a question, can you use a fire extinguisher on a large beehive? Thanks for your reply in advance.
The season would be perfect if we can get a swarm or two this year. Thanks for all the info JP
Im not especially into in bees, but for some reason I can't stop watching these bee videos. I am hooked. Yes I admit I have a problem.
JP I enjoy all your videos. I’ve learned so much by watching you. Thanks
This might be the best instructional video you've done to date.
much love from chilly, dreary maine!
This is what UA-cam should be about. Special people sharing special skills!
I love watching you removing bees and saving them I am a new beekeeper & you have made me more confident in taking care of my bees.
Aww YES! A new JP video? Today is a GOOD day.
Wow JP thats a lot of bees in that birdhouse I'm surprised they stood there all that time with all those holes in that. I guess that blows away the theory that bees need the brood nest dark to produce more brood and not leave the cavity if there is too much light going into their nest. You have inspired me to become a beekeeper myself after watching your videos the past 1-2 years. Thank you - JP IN DE ---- Oh and yoor forgot Mr Randys best friend Mr. Ed :) & I'm sure there are more !
This wasn’t one of those shout out list moments, lol.
Yappy & Dirt have very generously shared UA-cam knowledge with me & I felt this shout out was warranted & overdue.
Besides, Dirt is still mad at Horchoff for stealing the colony out of that log in Randy’s latest video. 🤣
Didn’t want to add insult to injury ya know. ☺️
All kidding aside, Horchoff is good people.
@@JPthebeeman Gotcha JP - You are all an inspiration to us Noobies and thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I know there are others as well so thank you for everyone that posts on UA-cam..... Best place for knowledge and help as well.
You're the top three bee men, in no particular order :)
JP, do you sell packaged bees, and if so, are the bees pretty tame?
Yes keep up the great video's! I love your channel!
You are the honey connoisseur! Loved your description of the honey and its flavour.
PurplePinkRed I know, right
I’m moving to Louisiana in 4 months. I would love to work with you
Keep it up JP. Love the videos
great video, extremely informative, thank you sir
Love the jokes especially the bee-vitamin joke😆😆
Rocking the bee world!!! Thanks JP
Thanks for another great Video
You're such a jolly fellow so lovely to watch and we get to learn a lot about bees too!
Good to see you again, MR.JP , the only human that makes the bee's dance 🥳✌
You Rock 💪 Love the video👍👍👍🐝🐝🐝
I really enjoyed how informative this one was, thank you for sharing these!
Jp hi I'm liven in California and I catch bees too
RedNex Beeman
Nonono.....he looks like Bearman🤮
Love watching, Manchester Uk
Did you get a new camera JP? Video is markedly excellent.
Most of this was filmed with my old Sony handicam but I did use my smartphone & a new camera for some parts.
Honestly, it’s likely the new computer & editing software that’s giving a more polished look IMO.
The 40 year old bee hive in Catalpa tree was the first video edited & produced with the new puter & software.
In regards to the taste of that royal jelly yeah that's what she said
JP, if the queen ain't there and even if you took out all the queen cells for the royal jelly thats fine. As long as the brood cells that you repatriated back to a better casa contain freshly laid eggs. My friend you're golden. By the way, royal jelly is good for ya. For people with heart condition, blood disorders to folks with weak immune system or digestive issues. Hence the reason up here in Commiefornia folks from Asia, primarily Japan and China try to buy the thing in bulk and HiHo it back to their respective country.
There were no worker eggs for them to make a new queen.
My take on supplements is if the body needs them it will utilize them.
I may be one of few who actually like royal jelly, idk. Heck, I love durian! So there you go. 🤘☺️🐝
I love ur videos
JP, you are my most *FAVORITE* of all the bee people I have ever seen.
And the way you eat that cone, it helps that you *look like the nicest bear* !
Katrina C oh, thank you, you are too kind & winter is coming so I must fatten up before hibernating. 😉😄✌️🐝
I have been watching your videos so much I think I can say with confidence that these weren’t “pissy” bees. LOL!
Not at all! Pure sweethearts! 🤘🐝
