You Bee workers and your ability to stay calm and composed always impresses me! It's Incredible! I am a landscaper and get stung all summer long and cry like a baby!
Hello @JPthebeeman, first of all, thank you very much for your hard work, and saving the bees. You are doing a great job, i wish we could have a @JPthebeeman here in Slovenia. ;)
Usually i have to really search for the queen but this time when you pulled the frame at the end I found her right away. I shouted "there she is!" to my empty room even before you said it lol. Thanks JP, i enjoy your videos and lessons very much!
I just discovered this channel, but I'm hooked. I've always been interested in bees and watching them handled so gently and professionally is super fun to watch. I loved his delight over catching the queen right away!
I watch loads of bee keeping videos but this one has got to be my favourite so far. I love how you are so informative. Thank you very much and keep them coming! With love from the U.K 🙂

Thank you for everything you do JP! I've always appreciated bees, but I feel so much more confident being around them and living with them after watching the work you do. Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday, cause you know we are after getting another video!
Very informative. We have watch quite a few of your videos and this one was laid out nicely with additional information. My 5 year old has learnt a lot from you.
Out of all the channels I subscribe to i definitely look forward to your videos. Your positive attitude, knowledge and the way you teach and inform us that bees are amazing creatures that shouldn't be feared as we do. Thank you for your channel and thank you for being you!!!

Holy crap JP. You sure have eagle eyes to spot that queen. Love the way you do bee rescues. Also love that you added Dr. Dre's gangsta music when removing that big hive from the floor. Stay safe and healthy.
That was a huge hive and you did a good job at moving it. You also showed the early stage of the bees attaching the comb to the wooden frames which was cool to see. 20:05
Not knowing a great deal about bees you sorta imagine the queen is going to be this monster compared to the workers, but seeing that she's just a fraction bigger than the workers it seems impossible that you could just zone in on her so quickly - but at the end when you held up those frames it was incredible that my eye just instantly picked her out among all the others - that big ol' caramel butt really stands out! Fascinating stuff.
JP you remind me so much of my grandpa, he used to keep bees and took every opportunity he got to teach us kids about it! Thank you so much for making these videos!
When he got the queen did you all see the bees then switch towards his position that was amazing that they can track her like that. He’s got some good eyes.
Glad to see you doing your thing is working as I always thought it should. To your credit, you never stopped teaching. Someday I hope to have enough sunlight on this NJ property to catch a swarm.
Thank you JP for caring for the bees and looking out for them. I have always appreciated bees coming from a farming family but your videos and the ease You have with them has inspired me to think about getting a hive of my own. Thanks for being you and sharing your talents with the word.
Hey JP, I'm sure this is a question that many people have asked, but what do you do with the bees when they have settled in their new hive? At the moment I imagine you have a farm with hundreds of hives, but I suspect that might not be right? All the best, Pete
I have been donating most of them the last few years to my buddy Schawee who places them on 3,000 acres of swampland in Gonzales, Louisiana. My main bee yard is in the town of 9 Mile Point but I am currently trying to find a new bee yard as access there has been tough.
@@Kjl-sj8de just got off the phone with him discussing this very thing. He had a serious issue believe it or not with raccoons this season. Neither of us have ever had a problem with raccoons before but early this season they showed up in full force! They knocked over several colonies & made a big mess of things. He is now down to 95 colonies. As soon as I get over there I’ll be sure to shoot a video.

lovely move, and that they seem happy and she lays eggs in the hive. My bees in my first hive in my life are now in winter mode so they sit close together around the queen until spring and the heat comes to us again here in central Sweden out on the coast
In the next month or so even the queen bees here will stop laying at least not as much but you never can tell with our very mild winters. Hope your bees do well & survive winter. Best wishes. 👍🐝
EASY. You made this one look so easy everyone watching will believe this is what capturing a wild bee colony is all about. Open the space, catch the queen and load 'em up. Thanks for sharing
Just started watching you a month or so ago and I really enjoy your videos. Your knowledge and experience is really awesome but the fun part is seeing how you interact with the home owners. It is impressive how you dont give a shit about a bee sting and 98% of the others are like me scared as heck of bees. Not to mention your true southern charm you are a cool dude. Being from Southern Iowa born and raised I know the kindness but we are a strange breed in that we are winterized too. Lol We are accustomed to taking our 2 wheel drive tiny cars out in a foot of snow and hot humid weather that brings the strangest of creatures but ill still be 🐝 scared. You are doing the work of what is necessary to keep nature alive. Keep up the amazing work!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video, JP, very enjoyable. :) You saying about workers living six weeks on average really brings home how much further north (latitude 51 where I am) we are than you. Our 'winter bees', workers emerging from September on, can last up to four months as they're just sitting around in the hive eating their stores and keeping warm for that time, not wearing themselves out in foraging every day.
They actually do live longer during the winter months when they’re not working as much, you can stretch that 6 weeks to a few months or so course drones live about 4 months give or take. Winters here are gone in a flash, actually wish they were a little longer.
Love the extra details you added. I know that was extra work, thanks JP. It's so funny I use to work with a guy in carpentry that looked and reminded me of you
I've seen a lot of bee removal shows on TV and the Internet, but none even come close to what you do. You must have a chemical in your system that keeps them off you. Maybe they sense the respect you have for them. You're a special kind of guy.
