@Dany Umehara riding good! Did have one start leaking but was covered under warranty. My BIGGEST mistake was not buying directly from maxpeeding. The warranty claim was a pain in the butt since it was purchased through an eBay seller. So if you decide to go with them buy DIRECTLY from Maxpeeding rods website, this will make the warranty process much easier of you need to use the warranty 👍
Eric, amazing ride. Do you have any issues with the front coil overs rubbing on the inside of the fender well. On the inside of the coil over towards the engine. Hope it makes sense, thanks.
about to do this in a few hours lol, so the ride quality didnt feel compromised at all from removing the preload ? i want to do a 2 finger space in front ill be on 17in acura rims tho so just curious how it rode. any info would be great ! thangs again
Surprisingly rides very good for 300 dollar coils and unloading them didn't seem to make much of a difference at all on ride. Can't.. the thread portion is made as the shock assembly. The threads run into a cup. If you attempt to cut the threads you will literally be cutting the shock housing itself that holds the rod/seals/fluid.
LOL! Don't think I didn't think about that but the way that shock is designed it goes full length before the thread start if that makes any sense. So basically if you spin off the bottom and cut it it will do nothing because even with less casing it doesn't change how deep the shock absorber sits in the cup, then on the other end what you were talking about you cannot cut that because that is the actual shock absorber and it goes all the way to the bottom so if you were to cut that you would be cutting into the reservoir which holds the fluid.
Did you encounter a problem with the coilover being too small giving the wheel no clearance? I just got mine and even after adjusting them to the max the ride is still too short even with my 17in wheels with low profile tires.
@@ericmorgan1256 nvm i got it sorry. Turns out the preset was put to the lowest setting for some reason. I didn't bother to check because coilovers are usually adjusted to perfection for a good and clean ride.
@@ericmorgan1256 tho I would like to ask you if you have put any aftermarket sway bars? And if you have which pair did you use. I keep hearing that I can use the acura ls aftermarket one or sum like that but I don't really wanna risk it. Do get back to me if you have changed it or if you find out which one to use
Spacers and have a nice flush look for sure I just got my crv back after being stolen and I’m ready to make it look clean again

Nope, but wheel offset and spacer selection will change this. Car crv is on 17in TL wheels now, @ej_s2k check it out

Yo bro how did u fit those rims in your crv?? What did u used?
Why not just cut 2 inches off of the threads so it'll screw into the bottom cap off the coilovers further, and then the preload isn't affected?

If you don't change your upper control arms or grind the lip off oem ones they'll get stuck in the finder and it sucks

All stock, however, depending on how low you go, you may need rear camber arms.
So you didn’t touch any control arms? Tardy to the party but just bought that same set of coils!

Looking at this for my CRV. If you maxed out the front without compressing the preload. Is a 1 finger gap upfront achievable?

No I did not have that problem, kinda wonder if maybe they shipped you the wrong set or maybe they were boxed wrong

No, different suspension style... from 1st-2nd Gen.

Yes, but you will need to grind the upper control arm or it will get caught in the body.
So will the front and rear tuck if you fully max them out
