  • I’m putting the BedHead Little Tease up against the Voloom. One comes out so far on top that it proves there is yet to be any competition! I have struggled with flat and lifeless hair all my life UNTIL THIS tool!!! When I use it, I have DAYS of big root volume!
    Do you like big hair with volume? There’s an answer!

    To be fair. You may need to hold the bed head a bit longer. Also, you lifted the hair on the volume side and not the other side. So I don’t think this demonstration was completely fair. You may need to work with the bed head side to achieve the same result as I saw another UA-camr do

      True also I have the bed head and my hair is shorter than yours. I clamp the bedhead with my hands to get it to close.

    I know this video is old but I had to let you know my experience. I've had the bed head one for a year, just got the voloom. The trick with the bedhead is to push the clamp all the way closed on both sides and use thinner sections. 😊 You don't even have to have the heat super high.

    For me the Bed Head worked perfectly, I sent Valoom back, there was no difference for me but price. I used the highest setting on Bed Head. I counted 1,2,3 and got awesome volume that lasted a few days. I guess it depends on your hair, mine is fine but I have a lot of it. Thanks for the video!

    Y'all the bed head one is fabulous...just count to like seven when u use it....and I spritz a tad of light hair spray after I crimp. Massive volume

    • @BrookieRush
      @BrookieRush  2 роки тому

      That’s great that it works well for you! To be honest, if I hold it longer it gives me more, too. I’m just not keen on high heat right at my root causing breakage. The ends? Ok!!!! I’ll sacrifice some breakage there but I try to minimize heat and especially heat over alcohol based hair products at the root.

    Thanks so much for reviewing those two. I’ve just started thinking about buying a crimper and hadn’t even heard about the Voluum one. I’d assumed that I could get the same amount of volume, or at least what I needed, from the smaller crimper but your video has changed my mind. Thank you. Darn it, though! 😄 The little crimper was so much less expensive!

    • @BrookieRush
      @BrookieRush  2 роки тому +1

      You’re so welcome!!!! Check out the comments though… there is someone who really does like the crimper just fine so maybe it would work well for your hair too and save you the money! For me, the Voloom is the only one that works but others do ok with the Bed Head!

      @BrookieRush  2 роки тому

      @@Claire-gw5yg less than….? Sorry! Not sure exactly what you’re asking (feel free to clarify!) but I’ll give you my best answer. Less damaging than the Little Tease? Probably the same. Less damaging than teasing or backcombing? For sure!!! You have to remember you are using heat and heat can cause damage BUT unlike when you curl or straighten your hair you are only clamping down for a SECOND or two (max). Hope that helps!

    I think the directions for the Bed Head one said to hold it for 30 seconds

    • @BrookieRush
      @BrookieRush  Рік тому +1

      If you pull up the user manual it states to let the device heat up for 30 secs and to clamp it on your hair for 5-8 secs. I’m not comfortable holding high heat that long that close to my root for fear of damaging it there. That’s why I like the Voloom so much better. I really appreciate your point though!

    • @BrookieRush
      @BrookieRush  3 роки тому +2

      I cannot live without it!!!! Truly! I still feel like it’s my ultimate game changer.
      I really think it’s no worse than teasing because you are clamping down for such a quick second so the heat damage should be minimal.
      I also have realized the benefits of my hair not laying directly on my scalp, therefore I have to use less dry shampoo between washes so that wear and tear isn’t happening as much either.
      I might sound like I’m exaggerating but this tool is my holy grail. Lol
