Same here! It does me no good to watch someone with hair completely different than mine. Kristi's review is perfect because I probably have thinner hair than she does!
And don't comb down your hair after adding volume.... Kristi you beautiful weirdo. Add volume then flatten it? You could have 10x more volume if you don't come after crimping.
As a black woman with 4c natural hair this is the equivalent of what happens when we straighten our hair and either begin to lightly sweat or some water gets on our roots...I'm happy for the women with naturally straight hair who have been looking for something to provide that same effect! But $140?!?! I'm glad water and sweat are free lol😂
😩🙌🏼🙌🏼 big facts!! Lol I’m ashamed at the amount of “tools” and product I have. Only to just bun my hair everyday lol but this ?? This is definitely a must have (🤪🥴)
I feel like this is a much healthier option than teasing the crap out of your roots. My mom did this for years when she was young and lost most of her hair. Teasing is so bad for your hair so I’m glad they found a better option!
FR even with the heat, teasing straight up breaks ur hair?! i'm like kristi and also have baby fine hair, so this is def on my list. i feel like if u just use heat protectant and product u should be fine 👀
For ppl that can’t afford it They can use the original crimped and just use it at the roots and it does the same thing me& some friends tried it and it gives you really thick volume and it stays until you wash it, so it doesn’t have to be this exact tool as long as it’s a tight crimper from the early 90’s
Maybe experiment with a little spritz of some texture spray through it once you’re done and see if the volume stays a little fuller for longer. Looks amazing- what a find!
Yes definitely do that. Hold the hair that you're crimping straight up while crimping and it will give loads more volume. I use a regular crimper and do this and it gives me volume and lasts all day. I love it! 😊
Kristi, we have the same amount (or lack there of) hair and I've been using this for years - I LOOOOVE this tool! Never been able to find a single product or tease my hair in a way that works half as good as this, and it totally lasts!! So glad you are reviewing it, much love to all my fine thin-haired girls out there ♥️♥️
Me: naturally curly girl, never use any tools on my hair other than a low heat diffuser Also me: IDGAF what Kristi uploads, I’ve never clicked a video so fast
I have very thin pin straight hair and have been using this for years before they even had different options. When they came out with the smaller one I bought that one too. It stays until you wash your hair out. I am able to add a lot of volume. I love it so much I own three of them. I HIGHLY recommend this!
Bunny (Grav3yard Girl) is obsessed with these, because she loves volume and loves to crimp her hair. She just recently did a video where she compared two of the models. She's compared mini crimping your roots too. I will say a mini crimper gives similar vibes if your on a budget, you can see her comparisons on her channel
I've gotten sucked into watching Eastern Europen hair tutorials (not surel what country they're from) and they use a tool that basically a hair crimper like we used in the late 80s but like a micro crimper. It creates very very tiny crimps and adds texture for up-dos and fancy styles. This tool reminds me of that concept.

Right?! Like when they laughed it was the exact same! At first i didn't see it, i was like they are sisters? but then once the sister started talking and moving i could 100 percent tell they were sisters. and same! If i had 140 dollars to just blow on a hair care product, i would buy it right now, this second. lol but im trying to buy a house and in this market, i just gotta save every freaking dollar i can. lol Anyways! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Another woman posted how Walmart has same tool called the hair plumping iron for $34 and that I will try. Happy she spread the knowledge and I'm happy to keep spreading the word.
It completely looked like you added in extensions for volume!!! So beautiful, Kristi!!! AND....... Can we have more of you and your sister???!!!!? Oh my golly..... you two look, sound, laugh, talk, the EXACT same!!!! That was wild!!! I'm so glad this worked for you!!!! Just lovely, truly lovely!!! ✌️💚🙏
Miss Kristy, I love the length your hair is now. It's very flattering on you. I also love the highlights you have, makes your beautiful eyes stand out even more
This does work just like a crimper does. It has been around for many decades. You can spray the ur hair with hairspay with nexxus comb through before crimping. After brushing through , sprinkle your roots very lightly with the powder that is meant to really volumize ( the sexy red brand or redken) .
It's wonderful to see you again, Kristi. I'm so proud of your journey, and you LOOK BETTER THAN EVER. You, Madam, are a true Queen. Keeping it real, keeping KRISTI!
I’m so happy you’re finally doing videos regularly again♥️ I subscribe to both this channel and sweet like of zack and kristi and having a day of your videos is amazing, hopefully your mental health is better and stays, my only question is and if it’s too invasive I understand but are you starting to feel “normal” again whatever your normal is
Girl thank you for this. I lost so much hair and volume hanging a chronic blood illness for 2 yrs and I can't tell you how excited I am right now. Thanks for sharing🥰
Try Terramin from California Earth Minerals! I lost my hair several times due to severe illness and it's thicker than it ever was and it will help your RBC & platelet count. Even my eyelashes are longer; you can buy it online. Planteur haircare (German shampoo available through Amazon) also work miracles!
I’ve literally had mine for like 10+ years (before they had all the different sizes) and it still works perfect and I have recommended it forever! And it really does last for days! I have very fine hair and it’s incredible.
Yes! The lack of texture is absolutely the biggest issue with fine hair! My sister loves how soft and smooth my hair is but agree completely that teasing doesn't stick.
Okay … I saw this a fair while ago on Harmonize Beauty’s you tube channel … thought it was neat but never got around to ordering it. After seeing your review I went ahead and finally ordered … it arrived today and it works sooooooo well! Love it!
I bought one of these about two years ago and I love it. You have to be careful because once it’s crimped, it won’t go away so don’t do some of the top layer accidentally. 😆 I have the same type of hair and this does wonders for it. In my experience, it lasts all day and even into the next day.
Sister flat, thin hair.... stuck to my head! With all the money I've spent on volumizing products over the years, I could buy this many times over. SHOOK!!! Thank you for sharing this!!😱🥳🥳🥳
It really works too, I've been using mine for years and it's the ONLY thing that actually helps - no more need for all the products and teasing! So glad she reviewed this 🙌🏼❤️
Right??? Like I've easily spent over $140 just on volumizing products on my hair over the years. Having just this product and not having to spend even more money on products that aren't helping would be a dream come true!
@@Khaleesi_Of_Kittens I was actually thinking that I bet there would be a cheaper one out there. Although one would need to be able to put the temperature very low!

I saw that and bought instead the bed head crimper as well as the dshow crimper with four plates , i love them and with the crimper i can put my hair and it looks good rather than waffled. I can also brush thru it and it stays
Kristi, maybe others have told you but when you do the crimp you hold the hair straight up, not down or parallel to the floor, straight up to the heavens and it will work even better for you :)
I saw the same TikTok and have it in my cart. I have the same hair as you and a ponytail I look bald, it’s so thin! Now you have convinced me to buy it! Thanks and you look great!
