Yo hektor , I almost fell for autozone telling me It was my intake , and valve cover had me ordering $300 worth of parts I had a scanner but didn't know much about fuel trims and how that works , I stumbled on this video and after a new purge the cruze is all set to go . The big part of this is I'mma single dad of three girls 10 , 12 , and 14 and that money I was able to save went a long way at the grocery store at a time I'm out of work due to covid , just wanted you to know your not just teaching people how to fix cars ur helping us keep money in our pockets when money is so tight rn thanks brother I really appreciate ya , and Tom cruze is still running smooth take care , God bless , and peace out
Man this is a fantastic video that helped me fix my son's Cruze who's in college. Every dollar saved counts. I learn so much from guys like yourself that educate the public but definitely don't have too. I really appreciate your help. Very kind indeed. Take care my friend. 👍
I literally took my vauxhall corsa 1.2 3door 2014 to a couple different mechanics regarding lean engine p00171 and none of them had a clue what it was. Thanks to this video I changed the Breather valve all on my own, took me 2 minutes. If it wasn’t for you Hector the mystery in my car wouldn’t have ever been solved!!
This video was exactly what my needed! I took my car to the dealership, pep-boys and 4 other mechanics and noo one was able to tell me what was wrong with it! I spent over $1500 taking it from shop to shop, I saw this vid, bought the part for $40 and solved the problem!! You are a god!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Have been popping a P0171 code for about a year now. Keep resetting it, which does me for awhile but then it pops up again. Finally decided to search for the issue. Came across NUMEROUS videos regarding this code, but yours is the ONLY one checking the purge valve....and lo and behold, upon checking this before heading to work this morning, my purge valve is sucking air. Have now ordered a replacement and hope to be back without codes soon. Thank you so much for your excellent explanation and descriptive video....I miss the old days of drag racing my easy to work on 72 Chevelle, none of this cheap plastic and emissions crap throughout the car....just a 350 4-bolt that you could sit on top of while working on it. 🙂
I blew into my purge valve and air was flowing through with ease. Best diagnosis ever, even if your car has no problems always good to remove the breather valve and blow into it incase.
I had the P0171 code happen to me last year. It was an indication of a vacuum leak, which turned out to be a bad vacuum hose. All that needed to be done was change the vacuum hose and the problem was solved. I'm always happy when the repair is quick and simple.
Fantastic explanation. I repair appliances for a living so I work on all my own stuff. This video totally explains diagnosing the P0171 well. My 2013 Cruze 1.8L was having this code. Was going to replace the O2 sensor. However after watching this was able to test, sure enough my purge valve wasn’t sealing. Thanks again for the help!!!
My purge valve is brand new so that's not the problem I've already checked that probably A 02 sensor going bad or something any ideas would be appreciated
The only thing he did not explain, (and I don't understand) is, how a vacuum leak would BLOW OUT Smoke rather than suck it in -??? We used to use throttle body cleaner, or something like it, and spray an area to see if engine Revs Up! (can be dangerous : )
Good thing that it was the purge valve that caused that lean condition but in my car it turned out be an O2 sensor going bad. Thank you for the video and good troubleshooting.
Thank you, this was the problem. I have had this idle issue with a po171 code for my 2011 Chevy Cruze for almost two yrs. I did a lot of searching and fixed other issues related to it, but I could never find anything that related the issue this video showed. I'm sure other videos and info is out there, but I never came across it. My purge valve had just a slight suction when there shouldn't have been one. I got a new one and noticed the change right away. It fixed my problem.
Thanks for the video, Hector. This helped me a lot. I was convinced I had an issue with my IAV, and decided to check this instead since the symptoms were similar and it has been impossible to find a IAV outside of the dealership. Fortunately, I saw your video and now my wife can give me back my car.
Homie Hector, I’m so glad to have found you homie. You’re very knowledgeable compared to the wannabes bruh. Yeah you’re definitely going to make it big!
same problem of my car chevy cruze 2011 engine check P0171 but the dealer tech said its turbo replacement is it possible they did not do a smoke test they did not explained its a vaccum leak they said its a fuel trim and there diagnose is turbo replacement last month they change my cat converter and oil fan and its cost me 2 thousan dollars it seems i cannot trust them anymore and its a big help watching your vedio i learn a lot thanks
This is great. I came to same conclusion on my car before I even got to this video, My deduction was made up on different experiences of others, however I can say that cleaning my purge valve did the trick for me. Therre are a lot of these valves used and you may or may not be lucky. My valve costed 130€ for 1.6 engine while 1.4 engine costed about 15€. Plus, 1.4 engine valve was widely available and my engine' valve was obtainable only by dealer. So I took it off, tested with battery (solenoid was clicking fine) and I cleaned it with brake cleaner. After three runs it was sealing perfect and I returned it to its position. You may want to test it and try to fix it before you buy new one, just my 2 cents.
Thanks Hektor I just went to the auto parts store and changed the purge valve now no stalling at park and not needing to press the gas when I start the vehicle
This is exactly what was wrong with my 2017 Buick Encore! For anyone in Canada, the purge valve is covered under a special extended warranty that outlasts the regular powertrain as GM apparently knows how faulty this is. If you bring it to your dealer and you’re still in that window, chances are it’ll be 100% covered under warranty. Wish I saw this video before though, and could’ve avoided the dealership all together!!
My engine seems to have a very slight vacuum leak as if it only has a leak occasionally. After watching your video I noticed that most of the noise from my engine (which always seemed loud to me) was clicking from the purge valve. So I just ordered a new one. We'll see of that improves the symptoms.
wonderful explanation! I have a question regarding this exact vehicle. My Cruze has a p0172, I've changed everything that could possibly be causing the code. I've replaced the up stream o2, MAF, Spark plugs, and one clogged injector and the long-term fuel trim continues to operate at -35. Any suggestions on what it could be?
Great video, thank you! one question though - if testing the purge valve only takes a minute, wouldn't it make sense to start your investigation with it?
I had this problem, intermittent then steady. The system thought it wasn't getting enough air and leaned the fuel delivery. Faulty MAF sensor was the cause. Get the Bosch from Rockauto, $47. It's at least $113 locally. Power increased noticable but fuel economy also improved.
I should have had you analyze my 2015 Malibu 2.5L, 4-cylinder with the P0171 code. Engine sounds fine, check engine light on. Took it to the dealer, they ran their tests, couldn't find a fix after 5 hours, and didn't charge me but reset the light. Half a day later, the light comes on again, I decide to take it Tires Plus and let them have had it. A few hours later, they just confirmed what the dealership said, couldn't find a fix, and didn't charge me and reset the light. Half a day later, light comes on again. That's where I am now. Can't afford to just waste time on this. Engine still sounds fine.
@@HomieHektor Yeah, Tires Plus gave me their list of P0171 potential systems and one was "Fuel Quality", I put in some gas from a different company and some time later the light went off for a few hours, then back on. Added some fuel injector cleaner and more gas and the light stayed off. It's been quite a while now and the check engine light is still off.
Very informative video! Currently dealing with some issues with my 2014 chevy cruze 1.8 l4. Jerking a little when in idle along with the rpm dropping when i’m parked. I bought a new valve gasket and i’ll get it switched out if it’s needs to. But first i’m gonna need to find out what codes it sends out. Thank you!
Thanks man, it fixed rough idling on my 2014 chevy cruze, I followed your video step by step and it turned out the purge valve is bad. I appreciate it man
Just came across your channel and like it quite a bit. But it should be a rule that every southern tech MUST spend at least 2 years in the north learning the trade-if for nothing else but to know what hat it's like for us.
Thanks for the video Hector. I had same problem P0171, changed valve gasket and fuel injectors and had same problem smh. Next is to clean/change the MAF sensor.
Beautiful video and explanation, hope you can awnser my cuestion, this purge valve can gives a po171 and po174? Or just po171? Hope you doing well and awnser teacher
I realize this may have been asked; but there are a lot of comments to sift through: would you recommend just changing that part from jump, then looking for other leaks of that doesn't solve the problem? Thanks!
thank you, Hector Homie, by watching your videos, on you tube. it help me a lot, I , Replace the purge valve on 2013 chevy cruze that was smoking a lot. Now my car is like a new one. code P0171 . now is clear. thank you and God bless. now i, HAVE A MECHANIC IN YOU TUBE.
Great video! Nothing wrong what so ever with it. The only comment I have is that when you said the O2 sensor readings were a dead give away that its a vacuum leak, some extra info on why that is would be great. Further teaching the masses on how to diagnose. Again, not necessary and great video regardless. :)
I have a p0171 code but on a 2.4L malbu. I replaced the purge valve solenoid and the O2 sensor as well as the spark plugs. Then, today I noticed a crack in the exhaust manifold. Maybe a dumb question, but do you think that could cause the P0171 and the P0300 codes? Trying to figure this out without dropping a grand in shop costs.
Had PO171 code. Cleaned the mass airflow sensor and used Techtron high mileage fuel cleaner. Reset check engine. Check engine light has been off 250 miles. My opinion is the the Techtron cleaner is the fix.
the pcv is more of an issue on the 1.4l, in general the 1.4 has more issues anyway. but that purge valve is common on both engines, i have the 1.8l sonic and i have a new purge valve in the glove box just in case.
Hey man, I just replaced the valve cover, pcv hose & intake manifold because all those check valves were bad, but my car STILL shows P0171. And idles rough. The purge valve is good as well. Not sure what else could be
Thank you sooooo much for your videos. You have helped me so much with my 2013 Chevy Cruze. It's been giving me one problem after another. If not for you, I would have had to pay mechanics to fix it and realistically could not afford that right now. So again Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
My car keeps bringing up code u00100-71 when I check the abs on my scanner. My car also just started bringing up the warning lights to service the stablitrack and traction control and my radio turns off sometimes. Everyone is telling me it’s different issues and different prices. I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze. Please help.
I inspected the valve exactly as shown on the video (proved to be OK as I could not blow any air through). After reconnecting everything, my car will not start at all. Confirmed it is not an issue with the battery. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!
2012 Chevy Cruze 1.8l. Purge valve is functioning correctly, yet still throwing same code p0171. Is there any definitive way to know if it's the valve cover? I don't have a fancy scan tool yet but it sure would be nice to know for sure before I replace the valve cover. There are no other obvious vacuum leaks. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for the vid at least got that part knocked out.
Have a 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4L have already replaced about 12 parts since October and it’s still not running right has a rough idle and a squeal/whistle have replaced the valve cover and codes still show lean even after being cleared they come back on after a day. Fingers crossed it’s this and not anything else $1200+ in repairs cost me $75 to do the valve cover and fixed the stalling issue
So I got one that runs lean with the purge valve plugged in. But unplugged goes to normal fuel trims. I smoke tested through the purge line towards the tank and no leaks with canister vent valve commanded closed. And with it commanded open pours smoke from canister.
Outstanding video! I just bought one of these scanners the other day and there really aren't many good familiarization videos out there on how to use it. The book is "meh" at best. At work, all we have is Snap-On. Im not real impressed by them... they dont seem to have the functionality that these Autel scanners have (or they are WAAAAYYY overpriced). So, thank you for the great explanation with the car AND the scanner. 👍👍
Would a bad upstream oxygen sensor cause a cruz to stall? Im getting p0171. Ive already changed maf, hose from turbo to intake manifold, cleaned throttle body. Im getting low readings from upstream sensor. Doesn’t go over 0.200 just regulates below that. Car runs rough and throws black smoke. On cold start feels normal till it get to idle. Sometimes shuts off of i rev it
Ggrrrr I just spent $1200 for purge valve, and turbo charger coolant hoses and connector and the engine light came back on 30 minutes later after I filled up my gas tank, so it's back in the shop. 3.5 months ago I got my intake manifold/cam shaft cover replaced. 2015 Cruz. My car was bouncing up and down and feels like it's stalling
@@derrickmcdaniel6105 Nice, fairly easy fix. I ruled out the purge valve on mine. I need to check the check valve if it’s missing to determine if I need to replace both manifold and valve cover/PCV or just PCV.
jedibbq Did the auto parts store diagnose it, or are they just telling you that based on the codes...Auto parts stores wanna sell parts, remember that 😎
jedibbq P2270 is saying that the 02 sensor is stuck lean, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. P0171 is also a lean code. Chances are you have a vacuum leak causing both codes.
Homie Hektor yea I just checked that pcv valve. It's blowing out air and making a whistle sound. That's the leak right? Gotta change the valve cover then.
Hi Nice video !!! Did not get the information about short term fuel trim level. what value should it have when the engine is running perfect ? aprox 0 ? Thanks
On 2011 I have rough idle lean code and misfire. I can sure hear a vacuum leak how will spraying water help it's sucking in not blowing out , what would appear? Oh I just remembered the motor will change speed when I get water on the leak, right?
The 1.4 system is a little more complex, but the same basic principles apply. A guy by the name of Dre Dan on youtube has a very good video on boost leak testing the 1.4L and has good videos on the PCV system. He also has write ups on the CruzeTalks forums
Just stumbled onto your website. Got a 2015 Canyon with 3.6L. Rough idel, intermittent. Was able check Purge Vlv felt suction on finger tip so replaced it. Engine feels better and haven't felt idel issue...so far!? Questions...if Vlv was bad why didn't I see a code on dash board? And 2nd, wasn't able to blow through the old Vlv! Could you enlighten me. Thanks.
I have a chevy cruze 2013 that over heats on me and says AC off due to high temp! Would i be able to determine what's wrong with it witht he code scanner at Autozone? Pls help!
Laura Zavala No code scan is going to determine an overheating issue. Have the car checked for coolant leaks, those are known for having bad water pumps, leaking reservoirs, or water outlets at the back of the engine. If no leaks are found you could possibly have a bad thermostat 🤷🏻♂️
Sup Hector. I have no codes on my Cruze. Check engine light blinks for 20 seconds when I accelerate on highway above 3 rpms and then stops blinking and doesnt come back on. It's a hesitation in the car. The service on dash once said service traction control but only came up once. Thanks.
I got the same code on my 2014 chevy Malibu but i do not hear an audible air leak and the engine sounds the same no rough idle nor are rpms roller coasting. When i start from stop i accelerate slowly and it sounds like i have a hemi under my hood but its only a 2.5L
Question? Same vehicle... I changed the intake manifold because of the intake runner control valve than had to change the pvc valve cover because oil started to leak in the manifold. after doing all that now the car will run between 30and 40 mph it will stall a little then would start blowing white smoke out of the exhaust pipe??? What would be the problem?
My car keeps getting system to Rich bank 1 and 2 as well as mass or air volume flow sensor a circuit and I already replaced it with a new one and car started working better than it was but not getting it again?
I loved the video Subscribed but I have a Question for you Chevy Cruz like you were working on 2013 eco-tech 1.4 leader we just bought the car and I checked it out everything was clean and good and then the wife turns on the command start and then the car shuts off cold inside and the engine light comes on
Hello. I have a 2009 Cruze J 300, 1.6 - 83 kw. I have a problem starting. When the engine is cold, it shakes, it does not rev, I have to rev it from the accelerator so that it does not stop. If I try to leave the place before it warms up, it stops and starts hard... it spins on automatic every 7-10 seconds. What could it be? There is no error on the tester. Thank you.
Hey Boss Hektor, Just want to ask something, if i change the purge valve, do i need to reset the fuel trim? car model: chevrolet sonic 1.4 2013 LTZ. thanks!
Hey Hector, I am 99% sure you can help me with my problem after Watchung your videos but anyway I have a 2014 chevy cruze 1.4 turbo that is running just like this one and bringing up all the same codes. I have already put a new purge valve on along with a new map sensor, maf sensor, fuel pump, both o2 sensors, fuel pump module, new plugs and new coil pack. We can't seem to find any vacuum leaks so I have no idea what is going on with it. I just recently got this car and fell in love with it but I'm getting so frustrated I'm about to junk it. I'm hoping you can help figure out what is going on. 🙂
I think it was my valve cover gasket going bad and spitting oil all over my bits. Then my catalytic converter went bad because of it. Just get it fixed right or get rid of it, either way the car will fun fine for a while and if it doesn't have the code cleared or get it fixed cheap so it can run right. I had my mechanic put a spacer in the 02 sensor in the exhaust so my engine light went away and it ran worse for the environment but ran okay and didn't give me any more trouble.
I’m a new tech at my first shop and I got this same problem on a 2017 Cruze. It only toke me about 15 minutes to found out it was the purge valve. I hate doing diagnostic because I don’t have any experience yet.

Careful, this doesn't happen often, sometimes it could be a combo of damaged intake booth not measured by the MAF.
That's why it's recommended you take it to a shop for proper diagnostic services.

I did all of that in my 05 scion and my po171 code is still on🤦♂️😭
@@BlueDutchCigarillo420did you find the solution
Beautiful video and explanation, hope you can awnser my cuestion, this purge valve can gives a po171 and po174? Or just po171? Hope you doing well and awnser teacher
I realize this may have been asked; but there are a lot of comments to sift through: would you recommend just changing that part from jump, then looking for other leaks of that doesn't solve the problem? Thanks!
This video was a huge help bro! Appreciate you 🙏
thank you, Hector Homie, by watching your videos, on you tube. it help me a lot, I , Replace the purge valve on 2013 chevy cruze that was smoking a lot.
Now my car is like a new one. code P0171 . now is clear. thank you and God bless. now i, HAVE A MECHANIC IN YOU TUBE.
🙏🏼 gracias 👍🏼
You are a genius, cool, awesome and all of the above. Thank you Hektor, you are a life saving champion
the pcv is more of an issue on the 1.4l, in general the 1.4 has more issues anyway. but that purge valve is common on both engines, i have the 1.8l sonic and i have a new purge valve in the glove box just in case.
Hey man, I just replaced the valve cover, pcv hose & intake manifold because all those check valves were bad, but my car STILL shows P0171. And idles rough. The purge valve is good as well. Not sure what else could be
Where are you located?
Throttle or Gas Peddle
Thank you sooooo much for your videos. You have helped me so much with my 2013 Chevy Cruze. It's been giving me one problem after another. If not for you, I would have had to pay mechanics to fix it and realistically could not afford that right now. So again Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
You do the eork yourself my lady friend I'm excited to try myself once my warranty runs out. Is it hard going the work yourself
Please can you tell witch tube you entered the smoke line... what is the name of that tube?
My car keeps bringing up code u00100-71 when I check the abs on my scanner. My car also just started bringing up the warning lights to service the stablitrack and traction control and my radio turns off sometimes. Everyone is telling me it’s different issues and different prices. I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze. Please help.
throttle body & gas peddle also valve cover
I inspected the valve exactly as shown on the video (proved to be OK as I could not blow any air through). After reconnecting everything, my car will not start at all. Confirmed it is not an issue with the battery. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!
Were you able to start your car again?
YES! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been chasing my tail for months with this issue. THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!!
I think this is my issue too ill find out this week fingers crossed 🤞
You need to have it diagnosed,
@@HomieHektor they did do that
Great video I have a 2013 Cruze with codes P0171 P1101 checked the purge valve the suction is not loud but you can feel it.
My 2014 is throwing the same codes, hence why I’m here on this video lol Did you find out what the issue was?
@@jxcorona13 I did some testing & cleaning of other components it seems that my purge valve is on it's way out. I let you know what happens.
@@jxcorona13 It was the purge valve. Thank you for making the video you saved me from having to go to a dump water repair shop in this town I live in.
@@derrickmcdaniel6105 Nice, fairly easy fix. I ruled out the purge valve on mine. I need to check the check valve if it’s missing to determine if I need to replace both manifold and valve cover/PCV or just PCV.
Got the p0171 code and p2270. Guy at autoparts store says it's the o2 sensor. Engine is making a vacuum squeal like noise when accelerating.
jedibbq Did the auto parts store diagnose it, or are they just telling you that based on the codes...Auto parts stores wanna sell parts, remember that 😎
Homie Hektor yea off just the codes. Thanks for the reply.
jedibbq P2270 is saying that the 02 sensor is stuck lean, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. P0171 is also a lean code. Chances are you have a vacuum leak causing both codes.
Homie Hektor yea I just checked that pcv valve. It's blowing out air and making a whistle sound. That's the leak right? Gotta change the valve cover then.
jedibbq That’s it right there 👍🏼
This is fantastic!! Our Chevy Trax has the same codes, P0171 and P2270, we just got a warranty extension about the purge valve!!!
I drive a 2012 Cevy sonic and i have althe same trouble code. Is it the same as the cruze?
what is the name of the tube you put the smoke machine connector? thanks.
I am getting that code on my 2014 mini cooper, can I use the water spray, or throttle plate and air intake cleaner on the engine?
Hi
Nice video !!!
Did not get the information about short term fuel trim level. what value should it have when the engine is running perfect ? aprox 0 ?
Thanks
Martin Knudsen they should be hovering around 0 +/- 5
When changing or checking if it sucks your finger ... do you have to disconnect the negative battery cable ?
Soweird, Nope
On 2011 I have rough idle lean code and misfire. I can sure hear a vacuum leak how will spraying water help it's sucking in not blowing out , what would appear? Oh I just remembered the motor will change speed when I get water on the leak, right?
Good information though does this apply to the 1.4 turbo engine its the same year?
The 1.4 system is a little more complex, but the same basic principles apply. A guy by the name of Dre Dan on youtube has a very good video on boost leak testing the 1.4L and has good videos on the PCV system. He also has write ups on the CruzeTalks forums
And just like that, you helped me trouble shoot the problem with my GFs cruze. Thanks!
Nice job. Thanks for sharing the process. I'm diagnosing a 2015 Captiva.
Excellent job
Your a good little mechanico
Nice diagnosis & repair Hector.
Hayward's Automotive Gracias Homie 👍🏼
Very very good explanations! Thank ya.
2014 Chevy Cruze with the same problem
@@HomieHektor one mechanic looked at it and said it needed new head gaskets but I'm not sure if he knew what he was doing.
Nice job!! Ruled out all possibilities and verified... awesome
Sup Hector. I have no codes on my Cruze. Check engine light blinks for 20 seconds when I accelerate on highway above 3 rpms and then stops blinking and doesnt come back on. It's a hesitation in the car. The service on dash once said service traction control but only came up once. Thanks.
what did u do? i got the same prob
@@jmtolentino6397 me tooo?!!
I love your intro! Keep up the good work
Do you know whats the part number for the valve
Becouse I have that problem in my car
Thanks Hector I fixed my friends car.Nice thanks sharing with viewers. Love it and utube..keep it coming..
You just helped save me a lot of money finally found the issue I was having on my 2016 Cruz. I appreciate the video!
Wat problems u was having
i am concern about knok sensor cod .has any ting to do with rod berings
I got the same code on my 2014 chevy Malibu but i do not hear an audible air leak and the engine sounds the same no rough idle nor are rpms roller coasting. When i start from stop i accelerate slowly and it sounds like i have a hemi under my hood but its only a 2.5L
Beautiful video, good explanation, do u have a po172 video?
What kind of car? Year, make, and model.
I loved the video Subscribed but I have a Question for you Chevy Cruz like you were working on 2013 eco-tech 1.4 leader we just bought the car and I checked it out everything was clean and good and then the wife turns on the command start and then the car shuts off cold inside and the engine light comes on
My code is the same code could u get that code for the gas cap ?
Command start? Are you talking about the remote start… what do you mean by cold inside? What code are getting from the check engine light?
Thank you.
Hey Boss Hektor, Just want to ask something, if i change the purge valve, do i need to reset the fuel trim? car model: chevrolet sonic 1.4 2013 LTZ. thanks!
Travel Engine no need to do that, they will reset on their own once the problem is fixed 👍🏼
@@HomieHektor oh nice, so i can do it by myself just to replace the purge valve. Thanks boss much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
Yo , thanks 🙏 u saved my day , I did head gasket on it but I keep getting those codes couldn't find leaks. THANKS
Great video bro!! Got a P0171 code, gonna take a look this weekend. Thank you, god bless 🙏🏻
Excellent info! Thanks for the purge test vs valve cover replacement.
I have the 1.4t and I had stabilink and Trac and running to lean so hopefully I can figure it out with this vid. Thanks.
Did you figure it out?
Same issue here but haven’t seen any answer yet
I think it was my valve cover gasket going bad and spitting oil all over my bits. Then my catalytic converter went bad because of it. Just get it fixed right or get rid of it, either way the car will fun fine for a while and if it doesn't have the code cleared or get it fixed cheap so it can run right. I had my mechanic put a spacer in the 02 sensor in the exhaust so my engine light went away and it ran worse for the environment but ran okay and didn't give me any more trouble.
Good diagnosis and repair job my friend 👍🏻
I’m a new tech at my first shop and I got this same problem on a 2017 Cruze. It only toke me about 15 minutes to found out it was the purge valve. I hate doing diagnostic because I don’t have any experience yet.
