But it's an intersting one... An innocent person would come up with the most brutal punishment he could think of, while the perpetrator would likely be vague and rather moderate with his answer.
Signs of guilt: Having arms, somewhere around your face or body. Having a face Using your face Moving Breathing Responding to questions Not asking "normal" questions Using your hands to talk Talking Being in an interrogation room
This channel is interesting, but it spreads a lot anti-science BS. It's like a freshman in college who took his first psychology class and now things he can tell when everyone is lying. Things like "micro expressions" have been proven to be total nonsense. Up their with -psychics-, polygraphs, phrenology, and palm reading.
Youre completely missing the point of the channel. The channel isnt about proving someone is guilty because of theyre nervous or hand gestures or something Its about how CONVICTED criminals act when theyre facing an interrogation. The police dont sit there until you look down and go "GOT YOU!" and then arrest you. These interrogation videos are showing convicted criminals who had their day in court and everything.

It’s not even like that…. They just had evidence to put him at the scene. They already knew it was him. So she purposely asked certain questions to see the deception indicators. They knew it was him already and was playing with him.

I'm a New Mexico resident for life and I would just like to say the Mennonite community is beloved to us. They are kind hearted people who go so far out of their way to help outsiders it is crazy. I broke down once in the middle of the damn socorro desert and they showed up as an answer to my prayer with a ford f350 truck and towed my pathfinder to their home, fed me, gave me a place to shower, patched my radiator, gave me a bible prayed with me and set me off with 60$ to fill my tank and buy more radiatior fluid. And this is why you invoke the fifth and refuse to say anything to the police without a lawyer present. No matter what day it is, it's always Shut The Fuck Up Friday.
It always amazes me how they arrest somebody, put them in the interrogation chair, and start asking completely arbitrary random questions. And the suspects just answer, as if it's totally normal to be arrested and asked 50 questions about your entire life history. Any non guilty person would just cut the crap and ask what's going on.
I think guilty people want to seem as agreeable as possible at that point to gain the detectives favor whereas an innocent person isn't so concerned with the detective's perception of them
these people aren’t arrested though, most the time they’re in here for voluntary questioning, they might be detained after a certain point in questioning though.
that thought always goes through my mind watching these! i’m high strung naturally so i’d be freaking out demanding answers on why i’m there ! you can just tell they’re guilty because they aren’t doing that because they already know why they’re there !

My law teacher back in college gave the best advice. If it's important enough that the police want to talk to you "down at the station" then it's important enough to have legal council present.

Yeah, helping to cover up for a brother who brutally murder a young woman and getting 3 years of probation just doesn't seem right... especially when we KNOW of people, relatives and strangers, who do decades for similar crimes. I have a cousin who went prison for driving the car of his gang, which, that night, killed another gang member. That cousin had just gotten out of prison, after close to 25 years. I don't feel any sorry for the cousin; when you run around with killers, you should be punished, when your pals kill other human beings, gangs or not. So, again, this brother of the killer getting 3 years of probation for working so hard to hide his brother's heinous murdering of a stranger who just happened to want to do some extra work for her children... it's outrageous.
My father's side of the family did the same thing everytime he ran from the cops after beating my mother. Now he's a heavy addict that still beats woman and lives with his mom.
Look at how much s*xual abuse the Duggars covered up for their son, these ultra religious families never let anything happen to their precious men. They get away with so much in those communities and the women all around them suffer for it.
Was that the guy that helped police? I havent been paying attention to the names that much but one of the guys helped them locste the gun, right? Was that him?
I could see the charges being easily refuted because Sam could claim that although he knew his brother was under investigation, he was not aware that Mark was not allowed to remove any items from his possession.
Any innocent person called into a police interview like this, within the first 3-4 minutes would ask, "Excuse me, but why the hell am I here being questioned?"
Very true. Even if I were 100% innocent of the least of offenses I’m still not going to be interviewed by a homicide detective without legal representation. I’m sorry, the stakes are too high. By requesting an attorney you are doing exactly what the PD would do if the shoe was on the other foot.

They can believe the brother knew the full extent of his crime and even believe that he may have helped commit it...but proving that beyond reasonable doubt with evidence is what you need to make it stick.
No way dude, otherwise there will be no new content. You can totally explain everything away, because you're the greatest person in the world, and cops will recognize that simple fact, and definitely will not use anything you say against you. "You have a right to a lawyer" You have a right to remain silent" You have a right to have a lawyer present when being questioned? what don't they understand?
@@SuperTruthful Many people think that asking for a lawyer will make them look guilty, same with remaining silent. They think they can lie or talk their way out of suspicion. They often don't realize that the interrogator knows *much* more than they are letting on, and even if they do they don't know exactly what the interrogator knows. I've been interviewed a handful of times for investigations concerning coworkers, and had the privilege of seeing some of the behind the scenes stuff after the cases were resolved. A lot of people think that an interrogation is a poker game. It really isn't; the deck is stacked, and the interrogator already knows what's in your hand.
Pay attention to his response when he's asked about religion.. He's simply extremely stupid and omitted justice before because everyone before thought he'd be too daft to build a snowman in alaska not mentioning a crime..
yes because majority of shit narrator is fake and real interrogators never draw conclusions from "red flags". Lying is a very complex issue,Someone who has anxiety would immediately get locked up according to this narrators logic if cops would take those "red flags" serious.
Yep. Get a lawyer. I have a severe anxiety disorder, maniac episodes, and am being diagnosed with DID. A ton of the signs that were pointed out are things I do when I get anxious, and that happens pretty easily.
@@MisterPuggles You know, I do too, because of anxiety. But the signs are definitely different in context. I wouldn't be nervous about the actual case because I'd know I was innocent, but I'd be anxious just talking to a police officer and sitting in an interrogation room lol. Any experienced interrogator would know the difference. (Also, this channel isn't super deep on the analysis so I wouldn't take that too seriously tbh, not everything is a red flag.)
I love how all his friends that were in the military and stuff worked with the police to take him down. A lot of military type of guys are like “loyalty or death!!!” but these guys understood that he needed to be caught. Without them it would’ve been more difficult. So even though it sounded like they were quite close, they did the right thing.
Given the circumstances loyalty it out the window. He killed an innocent, decent woman. Who as far as I know, never hurt anyone nor did she even remotely deserve this. He was a serial killer. But luckily caught after murdering his first victim. No doubt in my mind he would’ve been abducting and killing woman associated with the Mennonite people. He may have even started taping them too, before killing them. And maybe even after…. It’s a good thing they caught him so fast. What amazes me is that nobody saw him take her out there to the kill site. And nobody heard the gun shot or seen him so it. Even in rural areas like that, there’s always someone besides you…. I live in rural America and can say without doubt you are never alone….
@@JacobStone-cx3mg if they saw the evil in him & decided to do something about it then at some point they were definitely his "real" friends. I found that very compelling, as well. It was also a subtle sign that she was more or less likely feeling nervous, given the circumstances of the situation and the fact that she was probably 99% certain she was sitting in the same room as a sociopathic, narcissistic murderer.
It's absolutely deplorable that his brother, a STATE TROOPER, would wish ill intent on the citizens he's sworn to protect. As far as I'm concerned, the trio of brothers all act like criminals, but only two have been convicted.
Interrogations like this aren't about trying to work out if he is guilty. They are about creating points for the prosecution to catch him out on during the trial.
One little update that wasn't mentioned here; His other brother, Jacob (the VA state police officer), was fired due to the texts uncovered of him saying he ticketed & charged the Mennonite driver with reckless driving, and coughed on them in hopes they would spread corona to all the people at the wedding they were headed to.
If I were in his shoes but innocent, the second they asked “the punishment question” I would have asked for a lawyer. That’s the most accusatory question next to “did you kill her?” There is NO reason they’d ask that question to anyone who isn’t a key suspect
It's so sad when anybody dies from murder. Sasha looks to be a caring loving person. The kind this world needs. Mark is the kind of person this world doesn't need. No honor,no respect, just evil. God bless Sasha and her family.

I mean he also kind of puts no effort into it as well. Since this video specifically and this case alone is in more than 3 other of these channels. He also has copied multiple videos that other people covered before him, from place to place. Hiring a voice actor is fairly easy and which many of these "effortless channels" already did, and certainly the narrator is not the dude who owns the channel. It's owned by somebody else, whose likely have multiple other channels, and he was only hired as a simple narrator for the videos, with no involvement in anything else. It's a faceless channel, in which the true owner is unknown. And sometimes I saw people like him using very clear ChatGPT written scripts and having voice actors that have a voice very similar to the one used in this channel. None of these channels have any effort whatsoever, it's all a massive copy-and-pasted content farm for making the most possible revenue.
This detective is one of the best I've seen. I love seeing them get trapped in their lies but detectives often drop it all in one or two bits. She's just letting him inch his way to his cell. Well done.
Yes I complimented her also, she did an unbelievable job, her relaxed and casual demeanour is very well put forward, while being dilligent and consistent in her line of questioning, never judgemental in any manner, not getting hubris as she had him snagged, she also had a consistent tone of voice without being monotone.
I've noticed that they like to use female detectives with men who kill women. The men tend to think of women as inferior, and are more likely to think they can outsmart a woman. Chris Watts was also taken down by a female interrogator. It might just be a coincidence, but I'm starting to doubt it.🤷
As someone who is naturally nervous around police/airport customs etc, watching this is an absolute nightmare. I hope they're equally skilled at differentiating between nerves and guilt.

Did his brother Sam testify against Mark or maybe quietly gave damning evidence against him? Sam got off pretty easy for committing at least two felonies.
I don't believe he only received 3 years probation. It's probably a nonreporting probation. I know people that received more than that and did way less. Smh he had to do more for the police than what they are saying
I'm wondering if he got off easy because he was only given a replica gun. Sure he thought it was the real gun, and he most likely would have tried to dispose of it, but in reality all he had was a replica gun in his possession. You can't charge him for tampering with evidence when he never even had the evidence in the first place and he still had possession of what he thought was the evidence.
I agree!!! 3 months of probation?!?!! He should have gotten a year or 2 behind bars… The fact that he was a cop probably led to the leniency he got but I think the fact that he was a cop, yet still engaged in this sick plot should’ve gotten him a harsher sentence, not an easier one.

The last vacation I was able to scrape together to afford was to Jamaica 20 yrs ago when my partner was working a roofing gig that lasted a couple months so I went to visit for a week with 3 of our friends. One was an old burnout guy bald with long hair and the other female was a punk with platinum messy dreads. I had pigtails and a vintage sundress thinking that I looked totally normal and not punk or alternative at all. Leaving Minneapolis was just fine but trying to leave was a fucking terrifying *nightmare*. They picked us off and separated us the second we attempted to board. I was forced to go to a room with 2 female officers that weighed about 600 lbs between them who were armed to the teeth. Once segregated and with Zero explaining I was demanded to lift that same sundress up and part my legs so that they could stare at the crotch of my underwear in silence for at least 5 dead silent minutes as I stood there trembling. I couldn't believe it and I had no idea what was happening. They held up the entire plane on the scorching tarmac for over an hour and when they finally let us board they had changed our seats so that we were against the wall at the very back and were subjected to the angry stares and abusive comments of the entire airplane. At that point all I knew is that I'd been detained for suspicions of possible illegal possession but had been cleared after my bag and body was intrusively scrutinized. Boy, did I have no idea how much worse it could have been-which is likely responsible for the holdup, but what we had to look forward to back in Minneapolis. Those two mammoth guards were contemplating violating me Internally because I didn't look like the doughy Sweds and Nords that dominated the Midwest bound flight. Getting home we were detained again but at least in public. The person going through my private belongings took everything I'd found on the beach and was livid that I didn't admit to getting high while I was there. My brain has a way of blindsiding me with turbo anxiety and depressed thoughts when I smoke so I avoid it but wanting to focus on paradise in December wasn't a good enough reason for going to Jamaica for that genius. Some of these guys are so lazy they make everything using AI, and the channel outcome is pretty much the same, except for the narrator, which is much more synthetic.
it's lucky that the narcissism that makes these psychos think they have the right to kill someone also makes them think they can outsmart the detectives.
They believe everyone is evil, but that they have a special permission and get-out-of-evil-free card from their loyalty to magic sky daddy. They cannot even imagine a population that just cooperates for survival, without all the neoteny and the wishful thinking.
I know narcissists do still have some feelings of love, guilt and empathy, but it's lower than usual. Many of the people who are interviewed on this channel are straight up psycho/sociopaths.

harder. Makes them realize they ain't all that after all.

they usually do outsmart the detectives, they just dont show you those interviews
I love how you narrate everything in your videos, unlike other youtubers in this genre who just post unedited interrogation footage & put no effort in
I mean he also kind of puts no effort into it as well.

She would have me confessing in 10 minutes. She’s a master in putting people at ease.
I've noticed that they like to use female detectives with men who kill women. The men tend to think of women as inferior, and are more likely to think they can outsmart a woman. Chris Watts was also taken down by a female interrogator. It might just be a coincidence, but I'm starting to doubt it.🤷

Meanwhile... Doncha know... Trailer mamma looking ladies whose body weight screamed crank beats coffee for breakfast every day laden with diaper bags ready to explode are walking off the plane with every other Actual viable suspect from the trip.
And yes, we were all white just so the OP understands that race is just One of the excuses used.

As someone with anxiety and issues with talking to people… I’d just ask for a lawyer and not even talk to the cops 😂
Thats what you should do always even if you're innocent.
@@The_Cholo true! I’m so boggled at how many people don’t realize that they don’t have to talk to the police! So many folks just start talking. So crazy.
@@TheQueenOfSheba dude exactly, the cops arent your friends, they may not necessarily be trying to put you down for years, but they are by no means, a friend. The friendliness and banter cops do is a literal technique to make you comfortable and more willing to share information. Theyre doing a job, and vice versa, its our job to stay safe and give them nothing that could potentially heck our life up. I appreciate your anxiety, (i suffer from it also and i cant be in a room with more than a couple people at a time without a panic attack), and like you said, if ever you get interrogated, LAWYER LAWYER LAWYER!!!
and.. what crimes have you committed ???
Just empty you bowels. Even if your straining and grunting and claim you didn’t know you were actively shitting for the last several mins. And then keep squelching. And say that smell is not me.
That was you can make it seem like your helpful and mIntain your integrity.
Love how he says "My memory isn't what it used to be" like he's seventy years old. Ultra disgusting that he talks about being devout and missing church fellowship.
Religion is detrimental, and his faith was probably never alive. He'll have plenty of time to grow his faith in prison. I wonder if there are congregations there?
when i was ten i got meningitis. long term effects are hearing loss and memory loss......im not 70 but i know many 70+ year olds who have 100 times memory than my young ass has
Yea I'm in my 30's, and after dealing with an illness affecting my brain, I can hardly remember anything that happened more than a couple days ago.
Everyone believes in "god when they are in trouble..y do u think so many felons find god?? It's because nobody else wants to deal with them anymore
Why is that disgusting? Plenty of active church members are just as criminal, to the point of regularly raping minors. You know this. Religion is garbage, and frankly I wonder if this guy would have wound up a murderer but for the psychological damage of his hyper religious upbringing.
Awesome narrator! I've been missing crime docs with that type of voice
He said “it’s a way of life that I didn’t like and was happy to be out”
BUT, he previously said he travelled to New Mexico to “check out and attend the church, because he missed it”
I’m surprised the detective didn’t mention the contradiction if she noticed it
I think both of those statements can be true lol. Obviously he was lying but I don’t know if I’d pick up on that either
@@PhenomRom I mean I guess, maybe in a like a Stockholm syndrome type of way.
It's not easy to leave when you grew up in such a religion it's takes awhile to breakaway for good
It was a hate crime against Christians. RIP, beautiful soul 🙏🙏🙏 😓💜 Statistically, Christianity is the world's most persecuted religion during the last decade. Roughly 5,600 Christians were murdered, more than 6,000 were detained or imprisoned, and another 4,000-plus were kidnapped in 2021. In addition, more than 5,000 churches and other religious facilities were destroyed....
@@oksanacrane8644 Did you make up these numbers at random or did you accidentally make a lot of numerical typos? 4,000 Christians kidnapped in 2021? Are you high?
I dislike it when they say “sadly they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.” That young woman was exactly where she was suppose to be at the time she was suppose to be. It’s not her fault she was murdered. The murderer is the one who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I do hope he never gets out of prison. He is too dangerous to be put back into society.
This comment is counterproductive and focused on something so trivial. Let’s not.
Well it obviously was the wrong place at the wrong time because if it was the right place at the right time then she wouldn't have been killed that day. It wasn't right that she was killed.
@@dontworryaboutit4255 yes but I think they are trying to say that she should be able to go wherever she wants without being murdered and that the murderer isn't welcomed. Just a different perspective is all I guess
@@mckaylyc2322 I know what they're saying. But the saying wrong place at the wrong time has a very good meaning to it.
@@mckaylyc2322 I don't think they are blaming her when they say that.
Very well-made video. My heart breaks for Sasha. Glad that Mark didn't get away with this. He seems like the type of person to do it again if he hadn't been caught.
Wait! You don't believe he drove 400 miles to check out a church and was turned off by it when he learned the service times?
@@valeriee6353 Hi Valarie.
Did you watch the video? That’s exactly what he told the police officer.
Absolutely.
If he turned his phone off while driving her, he would not have been caught.
@@APARAJITMUSIC what an evil man, killing an innocent stranger.
