thank you!! i felt so lost, i had a huge chunk of sap dried on my bonnet from last year but i saw this video, filled it down as much as i could and used sanitiser to dissolve the rest

great video great tip .. one thing i like to mension brushes , most hang them up in brush holders the other way around like you i got a set up on a long key ring holder with hooks so when i have finished doing the outside windows and trims i hook them so the drip down and dry... got some of your window cleaner today fantastic product thank you

Baring in mind hand sanitizer is mostly alcohol could you use an IPA?

What are the active ingredients of the hand sanitiser as there are many brands on the market that would not disolve the sap and different brand names in different countries?
If there safe for hands I’m pretty sure they’re safe for the paint for short while..
Alcohol and aloe gel is usually main ingredient

I have used sanitizer and IPA to remove dried bugs from the front and glass of the car and works.
Tinting film is not on the outside of the car glass, its inside so you can use scraper.
I do car wrapping and tinting works and its incorrectly installed if it is outside the glass.

No. It's ethanol. The paint is urethane plastic.

My brother recently started a buffing bussines and i really want to gift him some snow foam, it would be amazing if i could get a bottle.

Thanks Tino. I have bat poo on a customer's car. Has eaten through the cclear coat. Do you have any suggestions?
If it hasn't stayed on and eaten through the clearcoat too long then a heat gun could work to remove it.
Awesome advice as always. Do you have tips on cleaning a car windscreen please? I have an annoying spot on the driver's side that just keeps smearing when the wiper blade returns to the rest position. I have changed my wiper blade and I have now changed the wiper arm because I read it could be the arm that's bent, but it's still the same. It's like a greasy film that's left behind. When I have cleaned the screen it doesn't do it but after about 3 or 4 wipes of the blades it appears again. I've tried glass cleaner, I've tried alcohol and solvents. The car is only 3 years old . I have no idea what is causing it. Can you please help?
Try to clean it with acid cleaner or maybe try to clay bar it.

If you can avoid parking under trees, both for the birds, who gladly at night use your car as a toilet, and for what comes down from the trees, that would be best.
I’m new to the detailing world and the last time I had a tar removal job I used eulex from Koch chemie which worked great but it literally stained the paint, the glass and took the dye off the plastic bumper of the car. Is this method safe Tino?
Hello Jerry. Tar removers are quite powerful, so when using them, you shouldn't and let it dry on the car and also they should not come in contact with plastics.
This tree sap remover method with hand sanatizer is very safe, if you are worried about the hand sanatizer on the car, you could also use a pannel wipe/ IPA, which will have a similar effect.

I tried hand sanitizer 70% then I bought the 99% alcohol and used it today that ain't getting rid of it either. Anyone have any ideas?

This didn't work for me at all
4:34 id never give you my car...Using a sharp object on glass and then move forward and backwards = scratches.
Once you put the sharp edge on the glass you move in 1 direction and then lift.
Also this only recommended for spot and not for the whole thing...jesus, painful to watch.
Cleaning contaminates off glass is quite easy.
I usually just use my finger nail and some elbow grease.
No need for a sharp blade that could potentially scratch it.
Not worth the risk.
