glad to here that!! remember to take down the curtain in the sleeper on the pass side of the truck if you are going to do a blind side back. it was a god send for me. helps too when you are taking a tight right hand turn and making sure you clear the pole of curb
I'm about to take my Class A test next week I been driving with a guy I work with after a weekend watching your vids I came in backing like idk it was crazy he was like damn did u drive and practice backing all weekend
I’m a 3 month driver now, and the way you present your videos, the angles, that’s how my mind works. And to be able to see this visual with me trying to figure it out all mentally has really helped my confidence and skill, thank you
I’m back to hauling 53’s after pulling 28’s, I passed my road test but the backing alley got me nervous af, took me about 20 minutes to do, I didn’t hit anything and passed. Looking at this videos makes me feel more comfortable into backing 53’s again
I've always admire people backing up those 53's. I deliver fuel. People like you give us so much when you share knowledge making the world a better place.
Man imma 3 week driver in the school , watched this video and pulled a blind side today and amazed my instructors ! Thank you for this video it helped ALOT
I don’t think you understand how much that one little comment helped me, “pull right to have a harder jackknife, if you overshoot” man that is crazy you have saved me like 4 pull-ups looking like a rookie. Thank you so much, I never realized it was that easy.
Good Morning, just wanted to give ya a shout out and tell you Thanks for sharing your knowledge and videos. Very detailed. I've been looking outta a windshield for 43 years, and it's nice to see other drivers helping each other !! Keep up the good work !! Be safe out there brother !!! Safe travels !!!
I done my first blindside back tonight and thank God I watch your videos!🤣🤣 I aced it and got a compliment a guy told me that I must have a couple years experience because they usually dread seeing May trucks because they take atleast 45 mins.🤣 and that's coming from a yard dog. Made my day. Lol
Probably the best tutorial I have seen put together. All the reference angles and lines is great. As with many others I am pretty much self taught but I am always looking for ways to get better. The way you showed reference points was very helpful. Really appreciate all the work you put into this.
It was really straight forward Nd I like how u used the interior view and everything you used to make us understand what's going on when we in that truck👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bro, this video helped me out so much. I’m transitioning from flatbed which has spread axle‘s to tandem axles and I’m finding out that the reaction time is so much quicker with the tandems. So I appreciate the tips
Your a Godsend man these videos make it so much easier to back especially since they've taught me how to correct over shooting a space and when I've jack knifed too hard. I really appreciate you man. Thanks for what u do!
OH MY GOD YOU ARE A MAY DRIVER!!! I saw your tutorial on Jubitz and you said you've worked around the portland area alot. I was like "huh that sounds like us" Cheers from a fellow may driver.
Wow. What a well produced video. Love all the camera shots and graphics. Also appreciate the excellent audio quality. Lastly your explanations are fantastic. Thank you so much!
Yea Man This is an Amazing Video The Best Ive Ever Seen Better then Mega Carrier Training Videos and they actually have the money to put out the Recording Equipment 5 Stars Excellent Work on this Video
Thx for your efforts, however, this is the worse way to do blind side. The best way is to make sure you have enough space. Right after passing one trailer, you make a hard left. That will allow you to position yourself in a way, so you can just do a straight line backing into the space. Thx
I found when I'm blind backing I open my curtains up in sleeper take right curtain down so I can see threw the sleeper where my trailer edge is. This helped me alot
It comes in handy too if you are taking a tight right hand turn and you want to make sure you are not hitting anything because it always looks like you are going to hit something in that tiny right mirror
@@MyTruckingSkills that it does. 3+ years of driving never thought of that window. For tight right hand I either button hook snd/or jug handle if needed. I actually have done goal on a tight right hand lol. Worst back was the pilot on state highway 140?(I think) outside memphis tn. 90 degree blind side into a slanted spot with maybe 4 inches on either side of trailer and almost no room upfront.
It took me 12 years before I discovered that window. I used normally have the curtain closed but one day I had it open and when I was making a tight turn out of a dock I happened to look over my shoulder, and low and behold I could see the trailer and the truck next to me!!! Mind blown!!!
Hello great man, I'm one of your fan, I'm learning more with you, I want become truck driver classe 1, I'm asked if you can make more videos to show as how's the great way or rules to follow for coupling the truck with the trailer.? Thank you in advance.
In my 18 months or so of driving I've done maybe a dozen blindsides because that was the only option available. Yes I'd do a dozen or so GOALS. I've had some get impatient and start honking because I'm creeping along several feet at a time. And I've had others help ground guide. Pucker factor was a 10 but I've not hit shit yet.(knock on wood). There's the super trucks that it's all about them, but there are quite a bit who will help ground guide which is decent of them. They may break my balls a bit while helping but thats fine by me. I thank them and go about my business.
I drove for about 3 years and I think I’ve done one blindside, and I did another just because I wasn’t sure I could go down the road to turn around and decided to try it. 40 minutes later I decided to check out Google maps and found a place to just turn around lol
A cheating way is to turn your right mirror so you can see your tandems and trailer tail until you cant turn it anymore.... it helps a lot. Just turn the mirror while your angle gets sharper.
Have to blindside back into a dock that sits inside a garage type warehouse tomorrow and very little space out in front. Going to be interesting to say the least. With your tips and insight we will be allright. 💪😎 Taking that curtain off first thing in the am. 😂
Great videos as always. But. As much as I wanna try blind side I see my self afraid of hitting something. So I always end up doing U turn and do site site park.
Man your videos have helped me more than you'll ever know
glad to here that!! remember to take down the curtain in the sleeper on the pass side of the truck if you are going to do a blind side back. it was a god send for me. helps too when you are taking a tight right hand turn and making sure you clear the pole of curb

THANKS DAVID
+Sam Martin you just made my day!!! I'm glad to hear it!!!
I’m a 3 month driver now, and the way you present your videos, the angles, that’s how my mind works. And to be able to see this visual with me trying to figure it out all mentally has really helped my confidence and skill, thank you
You are very welcome man. I'm happy to help!!

I deliver fruit to downtown L.A. and your videos helped me tremendously in becoming a pro in backing in my 53 foot reefer in close quaters.

3:45 to the top right I like how it says GOAL on the trailer for “Get Out And Look”
The camera positions are perfect and really help with the description
I’m not a trucker but I’m always amazed at the reversing skills! 👏
I've lived by and old saying that goes, just when I got all the answers. They change the questions.
Wow. What a well produced video. Love all the camera shots and graphics. Also appreciate the excellent audio quality. Lastly your explanations are fantastic. Thank you so much!

@@MyTruckingSkills is it a good view or just partial? But hey in a blind side some xtra view is better then no view.
It all depends on you truck, very little with cascadia, lots with international. My fridge is blocking my view now so I can't see anything 😭
