I replayed mhfu a while ago. With the knowledge of multiple endgame monster hunter games and min maxing builds, I blasted through this game in late high rank. Back when I first played mhfu I didnt knew anything. I actually never tried to build a prober build. Of course it was hard af.
Right but get to guild hall quests and solo final tier. Thats when you'll change your mind. Stuff doesnt scale down like with present day MH so unless you got a solid 2nd you're gonna be cutting the timers close 😅

PTSD moment for me, I remembered fight this crab for over 3 weeks just to win by a remaining 5 second only, still the best MH for me personally for the PTSD and fun end game, akantor and ukanlos 2 of my fav monster
When I was a kid playing MHFU, I was giving up over and over this quest. The reason was to save my ressources (mostly bombs and potions), because I thought it would run away before the end of the timer, like elder dragons. I remember having my 300 hours save, still stuck at this fight, my stuff was full Shogun, including Shogun GS (I was so happy that I could OS a Giadrome). Good times.
If i remember correctly if you make all the legs turn black shen gaoren will fall down and stay down for a few minutes for free hits,. And hammer is really enjoyable against him with the skill like tremor resistance, i cant remember the right name though
Did the dragon nator miss in the beginning? It literally went through him but he did not recoil. I have no idea if that is just something fu monsters don't do when hit with a dragonnator
Nop, i am pretty sure it did a hit, but when you don't do a certain amount of damage, then gaoren doesn't make the animation even using the dragonator (same case with Lao), probably because some of my ballista didn't hit and didn't use all ballista xD
One of the main reasons I want fights like this to come back (and the only redeeming quality of zorah magdaros in MHW) is that you can honestly just turn your brain off to grind them in a way even most high rank bird wyverns won't let you. You can just go with the process while watching a show or listening to a podcast, and the loot you get is usually pretty good for the time invested.
blangonga armor plus rathalos or lao long sword for an easy fight. me and my brother were farming this guy together and the longest part of the mission was him walking into weapon reach. same with lao where you can actualy run out of time cause hes flinching too much befor getting to the final area.
Imagine Playing the latest MH Game and you play the Golden old MH Games be like... - Skill is Lv.3 that should do it but in reality activation is Lv.10 above. 9 below means nothing - Youre used to weapon combos in latest MH game and when you input in old MH game, youll be like, WTF my combo are different and stopped?! Game also be like, the Hunter is a time traveler. lol - Master Rank? You mean G-Rank! - Freeze or Thirst to death (Drinks) - WTF the monster went? (Paintball) - You cant restock items or change equipment when starts so think ahead what to use in hunt And the list goes on. XD

I've literally played all MHFU solo and 'till suck,and I played MHGU and reached RC 800 and 'till suck, besides thatI can't say MHFU is the best MH, horrible camera, great part of the monsters are not fair with their moveset, all GR is made to play Online, even the game doesn't have an online connection and this is the first monster hunter that makes you feel worse than poor, and those hitbox make everything "funny", it is the peak of 2nd gen, but clearly not the best MH
@@Okita315 look at iceborn and rise you could go on a system expedition gather something or you can go farm for jewel in gathering quest and you get hr point and your hr level goes up back in the good old days you had to grind hard to rank up . If your talking camera and stuff like that newer games would always win cause they improved all that but going on the adventure to master g rank level it was better in older games and mhfu had the best monsters and quest in my opinion

But, how is related your HR grinding with the actual game? i am referring to the gameplay, also, 1st, 2nd and part of 3rd gen don't have RC level beyond 9 and 12, so, HRP doesn't exist there. You can only farm jewels in world, and when you go to an expedition, each monster has their own HRP equivalent to their "typical quests counterpart", so, expeditions are just free hunt or random "spawn" generator, like a free quests, so, as long as you don't hunt anything, you don't receive so much HRP by just gathering ores or herbs. But my point is; a game is better than the previous one because their actual gameplay is better, and with better i mean, fix the old game issues, that's why most people say that the best MH in old gen are MHGU and MH4U, also for example, grinding in both games are improved than for example, MH3U.

@@OMGYOUARER8GHT i think you forgot to read the "Slowly shifting back" part. this silk bind skill system is a play on the fighting styles in previous mobile iterations, and that 4 different styles for 14 different weapons all with different unique abilities. tell me that its not shifting slowly back to complexity again hmm?
