"Mr. Drummer" 😂😂😂😂 OMG that's Mick Fleetwood, Sam! I'm giggling so hard right now. I'm not making fun of you, I'm actually excited about the fact that you have an amazing experience ahead of you if you want to explore the work and magic of Fleetwood Mac. What made this band so incredibly successful and mesmerizing is also what caused most of their problems. These were five individually gifted artists, each bringing their own style and unique musicianship to the table and creating something that is nothing short of breathtaking. They were all prolific songwriters as well, Christine McVie wrote Everywhere in addition to singing lead vocals on it. Most people hear Fleetwood Mac and immediately think of Stevie Nicks. This presented big problems for them eventually. Releasing an album every few years where each of them could only have two of their songs featured, when they were all composing multiple songs a week (if not per day) left all of them feeling creatively frustrated and they were at each other's throats. Add in the romantic and sexual tensions among many of the band members at any given time and Fleetwood Mac was a pressure cooker of deeply creative people who, when they were good they were FANTASTIC, but when they weren't they self-destructed. If you watch early live performances of Rhiannon, you can practically see the sparks flying back and forth between Stevie and Lindsay. The sexual tension is INCREDIBLE between the two of them and it elevates the performances to even greater heights. I love going back and watching them in their early days and seeing the raw talent and passion they were all bringing. Have fun listening, Sam!
Omg! No drama?! Fleetwood Mac were all the drama. Their drama burned. Must say I liked this live version more than the studio version and that's a fine thing.
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Since he had heard of Fleetwood Mac but didn't know the songs. Pretty sure most people have heard about the drama. But damn did they make good songs within that drama.
@@SamJohnsonVoice Also I have no room to talk because until today, I legitimately thought the song was sung by Lindsey Buckingham in a higher register than he usually sings.
I love this song, so fun. I haven't seen you in UA-cam feed in a while, but I've been listening to this one lately working out. Can you do Linda Ronstadt, La Charreada and Por Un Amor, maybe a double feature episode, next?
I’ve got to say it was all the drama that made a lot of their music fantastic. Especially the album Rumours, one of the best albums ever made. Christine McVie had a fantastic voice too. May she R.I.P 😢I have to say Stevie Nicks is one of my all time favourite singers/writers ever ❤
What is often a bit discarded is the fact that Mick Fleetwood is a very good drummer and extremely precise and in this song the rhythm and percussion is the foundation. A rare guy to be I would estimate about almost 20 feet tall guy on drums, but his drumming is like Swiss clock... Neil Peart from Rush was one of those too, who never 'missed a beat'.
Can we get some love for that Mac Fleetwood group guitar guy picking with his fingers? Seems like he must've learned from the greats like James Borland or Wes Hetfield fellas.
@@hulahoopwounds7183 literally half the band. I’d say a bit more since McVie is only represented as Mac. Either way, the story goes that Peter Green named it Fleetwood Mac to ensure that Mick and John would have a steady income regardless
Don't get me wrong, he's a huge part. But I mean Stevie and Christine to me made them. But to be fair Christine did leave at one point but, she was the better song writer out of the group in my opinion.
@@hulahoopwounds7183 you’re not wrong but Nicks was in the and for actual decades before she knew that Black Magic Woman wasn’t a cover that they just liked doing. The band has gone through so much and Mick and John are the reason it’s the same band, no matter the generation
I was in high school and the Fleetwood Mac Rumors came out. Have enjoyed them ever since. Check out Peter Greenwoods Fleetwood Mac. I was not at all familiar until a few years ago and i fell for that sound, let me tell you!
LOL Fleetwood Mac has had nothing but drama. All of their success came out of one of the most tumultuous times all 5 members could have experienced. They love and respect each other...this was a 25 year reunion tour, UT honey, they are KNOWN for their chaos and drama. The best selling record of all time, Rumours was born out of it. This song was recorded and produced the year (1987) they broke up (semi-broke apart) for a good 10 years.
I went to see Fleetwood Mac before Lindsey left and Christine passed away, and didn't think I knew much of their stuff. Turned out I knew nearly every song and they were incredible!
@SamJohnsonVoice I just scrolled down your vids and the algorithm seemed to love you a few years ago. I haven't seen Tamplin in my feed in a long time either 😕
@@SamJohnsonVoice well, you just appeared in my feed for the first time in a while so...oh, who knows, mysterious are the ways of The Mighty Algo. Anyway, Fleetwood Mac are pretty great, and if you want to do another Christine song, the beautiful piano ballad 'Songbird' is well worth a go.
You should look into some of FM's songs from the Peter Green era. Peter is often overlooked in terms of his vocal timbre. He has a soulful-sounding voice, especially on Black Magic Woman. Yes, Fleetwood Mac did the original. In comparison, the singing in Santana's version just sounds kinda meh
Cute video. Please learn who they are. Catch the studio version and try again. I don't normally comment negatively.... But my first thought was, B**** Please! Lol
I don't know, but damn...look at Lindsay using his fingers instead of a pic! And, it is amazing how similar Lindsay and Stevie's voices are. Their harmonizing is great. P.S. Speaking of "drama" This band's music has been fueled by it's drama. Some of their best music was done due to their personal drama.
Keep making videos about them, they have incredible songs. I was blessed to see Stevie and she's still amazing at 70+.
You NEED to react to “silver springs” at this same concert (The Dance)
Yes! The drama and historical angst are on full display in this performance…and it works oh so well!

Right! Didn't Stevie write a song after the dude Lindsay broke up with her that he was forced to perform for years after?
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Since he had heard of Fleetwood Mac but didn't know the songs. Pretty sure most people have heard about the drama. But damn did they make good songs within that drama.
Judt what I was thinking. I do admire how after all the brakeups andcfights, they were still able to perform like this
RIP Christine
Fleetwood Mac were my era. Rumours album is STILL on my playlist. But oh the dramas!!!!
2:30 Sam telling us to make fun of him in the comments but....I just can't. This dude is too good-hearted to make fun of.
Awwwww

Sam Johnson you should do a reaction video to Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac! We need more vocal teachers reacting to vintage songs!!!♥♥♥
This is such a classic.....from one of the greatest LPs ever made....
RIP Christine 💔
Songbird is my favorite song Christine sang. ❤ love your videos, thank you 😊
Like if you want Sam to watch Silver Springs next! 😎😏

I'm back, I also may suggest La Cigarra, another song, in my head now, all very beautiful songs and fun to sing.
Is it sped up? It's my favourite Fleetwood Mac song. I grew up listening to them. Good to see you Sam, i haven't been active on UA-cam for sometime. ❤

How do you know Lindsey Buckingham’s name and not Mick Fleetwood’s? He is literally the band
What? No he's not.

lol, absolutely, they have always been totally harmonious in the musical and personal sense. No cocaine drenched band drama to be had here.

I think you need to dive deeper into Fleetwood Mac's music and there drama 😉
And react to Silver springs from the same concert ❤
Mr. Drummer is Mr. Mick Fleetwood. I am surprised that you are listening to his band and didn't know that.
No emotion? No drama? Omg!
Lolllll just kidding!!!!
Hi! Please react to Getsemani by Camilo Sesto! ❤
Why do you think pop music has gotten so high? I have a fairly high voice and I certainly struggle with a lot of pop music.
I'm not sure. Do you have any guesses?
No drama!? You don't have much experience in song writing, do you? The fact is, the more drama, the deeper the quality of the song.
Why analyze THIS song? There are more compelling ones to do.
This is one of the best live albums ever made. Check out the whole thing.
The sarcasm went over everyones head! Hahahah
😂😂
But really they have been such a blind spot for me
I went to see Fleetwood Mac before Lindsey left and Christine passed away, and didn't think I knew much of their stuff.

Oh yeah, they’re the gods of “oh, I know this!”
Them and Hall & Oates

No drama? I think, Sam, you need to read, say, a Wikipedia entry on the band and on each member…. breakups affairs drugs yup plenty of drama…
😂😂
would love if you could react to more bts performances, especially since they released solo albums before leaving for military 🥺
Fleetwood Mac was huge in the 70s and 80s. RIP Christine McVie.
