Fun fact: in 2014 when Paramount released their reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, there was a scene where Splinter wanted to know why they snuck out of the lair and tempted Mikey with a slice of a pizza known as the "99 cheese pizza", and Donnie claimed that a pizza with 99 different types of cheeses was a culinary impossibility. After that, an Australian pizza maker, Johnny Di Francesco, took that challenge, and created a real 99 cheese pizza inspired by the film. (That's honestly one pizza I REALLY want to try.)😋
I think the issue with the Oreo Dessert Pizza, from what I can see, was from the fact that they used an actual pizza base for it. If they just made it look like pizza it would be fine.
Honestly I can see the idea behind several of these pizzas. Dessert pizzas can be a fun treat to accompany a regular pizza, and for some of the others if you picture pizza as basically being bread with toppings some of the more outlandish ideas can make sense. Like, I’ve tried some strange combinations before, but I’ve never put baked beans on my pizza. But I have made toast with melted cheese and had that with baked beans. At the end of the day you have to keep both presentation and execution in mind, and it sounds like that’s where some these pizzas failed.
2:01 It was supposed to be ICE CREAM and cookies. But having a pizza box sitting in the sun in a car in LA causes rapid melting. So they changed it to a sauce. " Listen that Ice cream and cookie pizza it starts melting at room temp." " Let's switch out the ice cream for frosting. "
I'm pretty sure whoever made these pizza was just like, "Hmm, I need to make a quick buck off of a new pizza topping. I wonder what I can use" and then they see a random food in their fridge and they're like "IT'S BRILLIANT!!!"
22:31 When I saw that you were gonna make the Cadbury Cream Egg Pizza for real, at first I was like: "DON'T DO IT JOSH! IT'S TOO MUCH!! NO ONE CAN HANDLE THIS!" But in the end, I feel like: "Wow. He was willing to do something that I and many others wouldn't do, for our and his curiosity. He is truly an amazing man."
Dessert pizzas rock, I just think they can’t comprehend the concept of a gimmick of a pizza place selling a dessert that’s ALSO reminiscent of a pizza.

I tried making a Cadbury Crème Egg Chocolate Cake a few months back. For a first attempt, it could have gone worse, but I still think I could have done better. For anyone curious, I tried taking out the filling from ten Crème Eggs and put that in the middle of the cake mix after putting in half of it, then putting the rest of the mix on top. I put in the oven after that, while trying to melt the chocolate shells (a first attempt of this sort of thing, and it was amateur hour for sure). After letting the cake cool, I topped it with the "melted" chocolate. My attempt to celebrate Easter, and it was not a great success, but I'm glad I tried. The taste was fine, but I think the Crème wasn't strong enough since I wasn't able to spread around, and mostly kept it in the middle. Piece of advice: First attempts are usually riddled with errors, especially if you don't have a clear idea.

That pizza box pizza I think sounds good on paper, but in practice... eh. I tried one when it was still around. My truck smelled like a rotting pizza until the radiator gave out and I replaced it.
@@SergioLeonardoCornejo It is the way you think it is. I trying my best not to spill the damn thing everywhere. By some crazy miracle, I didn't spill it!
It's always fascinating to see new pizza ideas, even when a lot of them seem gross on the surface. Here in the Midwest, we've got some pretty interesting topping combos. My childhood pizza chain is called Happy Joe's, and I've always gotten sausage and onion there. Meanwhile, my grandma - and quite a few other people - love getting sauerkraut and Canadian bacon. Taco pizza is also pretty popular up here.
I feel like some of these ideas are a very good example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should!" Like I'm all for creativity and thinking outside the box, but at some point you gotta real it in, like I verbally said "ew" when I saw the PB&J pizza! Props to Josh for trying it though!
i knew the baked beans pizza was a real thing and they thought i was maddd.... yeah loved this thing as a kid and then boom no more, great video dude and mrs dude always love your opinion on the bizarre mistakes of food from yesteryear
As a pizza chef, I have had some ideas for a pizza, like my idea of a pumpkin pizza pie, with a regular pizza crust, pumpkin puree as a base(or a sauce that is pumpkin spice flavored, which would probably work better), with candy corn and whipped cream after baking. I haven't had the chance to make it yet, but I think it would be a fun creation. If I'm lucky, it'll taste good too.
You're a brave man for trying that Cadbury Creme Egg pizza, Josh. I love pizza and enjoy Cadbury Creme Eggs at Easter time, but if ever there were two things that did not go together, there they are and I would not eat it.
There’s a popular brand in germany (dr. oetker) which sells all kinds of goods, like baking supplies but also refrigerator pizza. They once made a chocolate pizza, and pizza burgers which were both discontinued. I just remember the pizza burgers being pretty popular, but I never tried them.
It was kind of interesting seeing you actually make one of the items on the list. I wonder if you'd ever be up for a weird food cooking channel someday
LOVE your videos, Josh!!!! Always looking forward to seeing your videos, since your commentary is ridiculously funny!! As a couple others have mentioned, Oreo pizza is good if done correctly (Dominos missed that memo!). Fruit pizza can also be delicious if done right. Where I live, we have a grocery store that sells a fruit pizza that has a sugar cookie base. As a “sauce” it has a yogurt fruit dip, and then it’s topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and kiwi fruit. Dessert, snack, or breakfast, I love it!! As for the Cadbury Creme egg “pizza”, you’re braver than me! Revolting!!99% of these pizzas sound disgusting!!! I do have one particularly awful pizza that you could add to the list- Gordon Ramsay (love him!) ate a dessert pizza on “Hotel Hell” that had a chocolate “sauce”, strawberries, a white chocolate drizzle, and BACON on a thin crust! Yuck!!! 🤢 Also, any non-dessert pizza containing pineapple as a topping goes straight into my trash can!! Just saying…
The funny thing is, on paper, a pizza with baked beans doesn't seem like a terrible idea. I've made mac n' cheese with baked beans, and they were great, so I can see this working.
I had a chocolate pizza once. It was a very simple frozen one with brownie dough, chocolate sauce and white chocolate chips that would melt in the oven. I only bought it out of curiosity and can't say I disliked it, outside of it burning my tongue. Took much longer than a regular pizza to cool. But I liked the taste of it. It was like... well, like a brownie with chocolare topping. Not that weird actually. Never bought another one tho.
Hmm, the only thing that perhaps wouldn’t work so well is the egg… Tomato, Bacon, mushroom, sausage, even crispy potato (or whatever combo you like on a breakfast) sound great though.
As someone who had the Oreo pizza, it was fine, but this was when I was 4 or 5 years old. Maybe because of my age, I didn’t mind it as much as others did, seeing how I focused on the sugary taste, but as a 20 year old, I’m not sure if it would hold up. Also at 15:38, I noticed that particular Pizza Hut location has Coca-Cola products, whereas most locations serve Pepsi.
Oreo pizza would be good if it was rebranded as an "Oreo pie" and had creme in the middle tbh. Make it thicker too and give the job of making it to someone other than Dominos
I’m not sure if it was Oreos pizza specifically, maybe it was idk but I was 2 in 2007 so probably not but I had desert pizza a lot especially at Cici’s pizza and it’s really good, I think what would make it taste bad was putting normal pizza stuff and then putting it on top of it
The Oreo pizza Miiiight have worked had it been an Oreo crust, a creme filling sauce, maybe some sort of crumbly topping? Idunno. Dessert pizza is typically only parties
As a pizza fan, this list is gonna hurt... Also, currently making a digorno for this one. Edit: If memory serves me right, I tried the chocolate chip pizza from Pizza Hut. It was great. I think a lasanga pizza, if done right, would be something I'd try. You deserve a f**king medal for making a taste test of the #1 entry. Also, peanut butter and jelly pizza. WHY?!!
I don't eat from Pizza Hut as often now, but when I was a kid I'd go there with my grandparents a lot. The chocolate chip pizza there was damn amazing.

I once had a Cheez It Pizza. It certainly was one of the more indulgent examples of cross promotion that I've ever eaten.
Was it good?
@@quinnhouk5369 With the Marinara sauce included yes. But I love Cheez Its. So that helps.
@@claytonrios1 I also love cheez its
I tried making a Cadbury Crème Egg Chocolate Cake a few months back.
I love these food videos!
I still don’t know why but I alwyas wanna eat a good snack when I watch these
I dont know why but it’s hard to watch these without having a bowl or plate of food infront if you!
Keep up the good work strider👍
“You can make fun of a Canadian like me”
*standing in front of Uluru / Ayers Rock*
Most top ten videos are the same soulless rubbish re-uploaded again and again, Phantomstrider genuinely puts care into it and it actually shows, despite the cartooniness of it, I actually REALLY like the vibe of the videos, great work as always man!
I think it is because he really has a personalized script and teamwork, instead of just reading from articles.
Some people can do a pretty good job just like Strider. He is one of be best for sure.
Josh I am both proud and concerned that you would try that thing for the UA-cam community
That pizza box pizza I think sounds good on paper, but in practice... eh. I tried one when it was still around. My truck smelled like a rotting pizza until the radiator gave out and I replaced it.
It is more of an impractical gimmick than a good idea.
@@SergioLeonardoCornejo As I said, a good idea on paper. Not in practice.
@@Trey_816 on paper... How does one carry it around? Because I see great pun material if it is the way I think it is.
@@SergioLeonardoCornejo It is the way you think it is. I trying my best not to spill the damn thing everywhere. By some crazy miracle, I didn't spill it!
@@Trey_816 so. It is carried the only way it works. On paper.
I love pizza, pizza is number one baby! And a countdown video revolving around pizza is just what I needed
Midwest does NOT have pizza
@@SuperRat420 Are you trying to say it's bad or something? because that's okay
@@popsmaellard725 yes. It is bad
@@SuperRat420 i dont doubt it..
Yeah. After watching this and reading the comments, I'd love to make a beans and corn pizza
Bro how can u be so chill and somehow keep it g rated props for u
As a pizza chef, I have had some ideas for a pizza, like my idea of a pumpkin pizza pie, with a regular pizza crust, pumpkin puree as a base(or a sauce that is pumpkin spice flavored, which would probably work better), with candy corn and whipped cream after baking. I haven't had the chance to make it yet, but I think it would be a fun creation. If I'm lucky, it'll taste good too.
This sounds tasty
Loved the Pizza Tower music you included 😁
Great overall video
You're a brave man for trying that Cadbury Creme Egg pizza, Josh. I love pizza and enjoy Cadbury Creme Eggs at Easter time, but if ever there were two things that did not go together, there they are and I would not eat it.
Your videos got me out of a bad case of mononucleosis i had for abt 3 weeks lmfao. Thanks for being awesome
We have that Dr. Oetker one in Canada… the chocolate pizza I remember seeing here.
Yeah, the chocolate one was great!
The chocolate pizza was also sold in Belgium 4 years ago. It´s more a dessert, but it did taste good imho.
I love that while taking about lasagna pizza "Pizza Deluxe" from Pizza Tower was playing. Shout out to the editor for the very fitting music.
I wouldn't mind seeing you do a video or two on creepy advertisements or failed advertisements.
Ramsay also ate a dish in an earlier season of Hell's Kitchen that had white chocolate and CAVIAR in it, he threw up after one bite
I love beans, I love Pizza, but together? They feel.. illegal to even look at.
The funny thing is, on paper, a pizza with baked beans doesn't seem like a terrible idea. I've made mac n' cheese with baked beans, and they were great, so I can see this working.
It works when it's done well
It does sound pretty good. I like beans on toast with cheese and it doesn't sound that far off
This guy's a great host/presenter. AND he can juggle??? 21:36 oh man lol he's got it all!!!
Strider put his health at risk just to taste test the worst pizza on list.
*That* is dedication!
The Oreo pizza could’ve been a big circular poptart that was preheated
I had a chocolate pizza once. It was a very simple frozen one with brownie dough, chocolate sauce and white chocolate chips that would melt in the oven. I only bought it out of curiosity and can't say I disliked it, outside of it burning my tongue. Took much longer than a regular pizza to cool. But I liked the taste of it. It was like... well, like a brownie with chocolare topping. Not that weird actually. Never bought another one tho.
A long time ago, I wondered about breakfast pizzas, only to be stumped about what toppings would make it qualify as breakfast.
Hmm, the only thing that perhaps wouldn’t work so well is the egg… Tomato, Bacon, mushroom, sausage, even crispy potato (or whatever combo you like on a breakfast) sound great though.
I've had breakfast pizzas at school and they were good
As someone who had the Oreo pizza, it was fine, but this was when I was 4 or 5 years old.
As someone who would unironically eat a Triple Down, I can say for certain that the Big Mac Pizza is very much overkill.
1 slice might be nice though
I’m not sure if it was Oreos pizza specifically, maybe it was idk but I was 2 in 2007 so probably not but I had desert pizza a lot especially at Cici’s pizza and it’s really good, I think what would make it taste bad was putting normal pizza stuff and then putting it on top of it
I've had a chocolate chip pizza. It is pretty good.
My son LOVES the chocolate chip pizza from Pizza Hut so much we get it every time we go
Congratulations! You are the first person in the world to try the Cadbury Creme egg pizza on UA-cam! Your prize is…
A+ for effort! 👍🎉🎈🍾🍕🥚🥗
The Oreo pizza Miiiight have worked had it been an Oreo crust, a creme filling sauce, maybe some sort of crumbly topping? Idunno. Dessert pizza is typically only parties
Who else thought that PhantomStrider was also British at first until they heard him call himself Canadian?
I can confirm that Americans making pizza is basically a game about how many Italians can get offended.
@@popsmaellard725 Indeed.
As a pizza fan I'm wondering how much paint some people were huffing in order for such thoughts to be created. Not the entire list but almost.
@@turboshazed7370 I will never understand what went through some of these people's heads when coming up with them.
Then again, I once put Tony's seasoning on a homemade pizza of my own for a spicy kick so who knows?
Phantomstrider, the beans pizza actually tastes really nice, I tried it out recently and was blown away from the taste
I really want to try the chocolate chip cookie pizza from Pizza Hut.
Okay, I love me a Cadbury Creme Egg. Here in the states, we only really get them around Easter. I look forward to them every year. But on a PIZZA? WTF?!?!
I get it, they were all an oof moment. I wonder if the pull off cheese stick pizza is on here, I really miss that one and it was better then getting the pizza and cheese stick separately. 😭
The way the titled is worded is so funny to me. Like,, these pizzas got cancelled??? Damn what’d they do?!
