It made me realize I need to research a lot more before just going out and start buying things but also didn't make me feel like I need an engineering degree to do it like some other videos I've seen Thank you very much !

Great video. I'm brand new to the AR platform, and basically anything that's not a handgun, but I've fallen deep into the rabbit hole that is the AR platform. This video was really helpful as I'm already ready to build an AR pistol.

It’s confusing to me, so if I buy an AR15 build kit... it comes with everything I need to be fully functional? I just need the tools and to actually build it correctly? So with these kits I see full build kits with 80% lowers... is there something else that I’m suppose to get aswell or would that be everything? What tools would I need? Once built am I able to take it to the range? What if you were to get pulled over, would it be illegal to have?
Lol it looks semi easy but just the cost… like building a pc always wanted to try but I’m not rich enough to fail and mess up the product… Great video by the way. I dig the red pointer.
Biggest mistake for me was buying parts from Palmetto State Arms. Said they shipped but did not. Held my money for 30 days and would not rectify the issue

Hi. I am Beth, Matt's wife. He unfortunately passed away from Covid on Jan 21 2022. He fought it in the hospital for 2 months. He was on a ventilator for more than a month. His lungs kept collapsing, he had 5 chest tubes in. He had 3 cardiac arrests. His kidneys failed and he was on dialysis. He was maxed out on 4 blood pressure medicines and his blood pressure wouldn't stay up. I had to make the heartwrenching decision to turn off life support and let him go. I did everything possible to save him and bring him home. Covid destroyed his body. Our kids have talked about continuing his UA-cam channels but it's been so hard without him. Thank you for watching his videos, they were his pride and joy. He is so very missed by his family and friends.
2:18 you can also build an ar for at least half (and often much more than half price) the price of a prebuilt platform. in 2022 at the time of this comment, you can build a good quality 5.56 16" platform for 400$. that was the cheapest i was able to find all the peices. and thats a bone bare mil spec 16" carbine. it of course goes up from there. but even that is really cheap.
This is true. Not only do you save money on the parts alone, but you can save in taxes. There are some districts that have a additional tax on completed rifles but no tax on the uppers and lowers.
Personally I think I'll be best having a good lower with several uppers. Sure some people say why not just buy 'several' rifles all being complete?/ I say thats expensive and being that I cant/wont be shooting them all at the same time, and just switching them out for the objective one is called for.saving me a lot of money.
That is a good money saving idea. The one issue you may run into is when changing calibers, you may need to also replace the buffer and spring for it to run properly. You may also consider making sure every upper has an adjustable gas block so that they can be tuned to your lower configuration. Thanks for watching.
I have never owned a firearm in my life. I went shooting last weekend for the first time in my life, I am 31 years old. How difficult would you say it would be for me to build an AR? I'm pretty savvy for the most part but a buddy recommended I buy an assembled one to begin. thanks for the video :D
If you have any mechanical ability, I would build one. They are not that hard to build and can be built in an afternoon if you have everything together, including the few tools you might need. the best part of building one is you can make what you want. High dollar, low dollar and everything in between. You will know everything about your weapon. I found it very satisfying building mine. Just take your time and You Tube is a great place to find instructions on how to build. Nothing wrong with just buying a complete one but If you go economical just remember they found every cheap part they could to build it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
45 Alfa Charlie Papa I think I may go with building my own but with pre built lower & upper. I will have to modify certain parts such as what’s allowed in my state CA, which is also really confusing. Hey very great youtube video. I am new to all of this Ar Making and was wondering what websites can I go to to get the parts I need?
Due to UA-cam's issues with links I have tried to add some but they are taken down. I have purchased from many places and the hunt is part of the fun for me. Here is a google search and I have dealt with many of these company's. Thanks for watching.

@@45AlfaCharliePapa thank you very much for all the help
What all parts have to be ship to a ffl ? I know all the the parts just won't come to your front door will they ???
Moe Moe The lower receiver is the only part that you need to get from an FFL. Everything else can be shipped to your door. The exception being places like Washington DC with very strict local gun laws.
You could buy an unfinished lower reciever, called an 80 percent sent directly to you
Where would I buy these parts?
Where is a good place to buy parts for a good price?
It’s confusing to me, so if I buy an AR15 build kit... it comes with everything I need to be fully functional? I just need the tools and to actually build it correctly? So with these kits I see full build kits with 80% lowers... is there something else that I’m suppose to get aswell or would that be everything? What tools would I need? Once built am I able to take it to the range? What if you were to get pulled over, would it be illegal to have?
Are u Peter griffins brother
No, his name was Matt Mazan. He was my husband. My name is Beth. Matt passed away from Covid on Jan 21 2022, his 53rd birthday. Thank you for watching his videos. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
