Never understood why people send their kid they can't physically control to their Grandparents. When they no longer have strength.

Same as people who expect their parents to babysit their children.
It's just cruel. They are tired. Let them visit or ask for it but don't expect them to be your permanent childcare.
I would never even imagine doing that.

      Two things:
      1. Often times grandparents or other extended family will volunteer to care for these kids. Out of love and wanting to keep the family together.
      2. CPS and other social services will push *hard* to keep kids out of the foster care system. They're not in the business of dragging children away from their families entirely unless absolutely necessary.

they're probably already conditioned to be able to take advantage of them in other ways, i.e. money, so why not dump the kids they don't bother parenting on their own parents, too.

Does anyone know why the girl cared so much about them finding out people were there? EWU kept making it seem like there was some big bombshell of a secret that was behind the reason of her lying about having friends over…but once she admitted it, there was no explanation as to why she cared so much about that specifically…so I’m super confused here?? Lol

@@comeagain....8050 yeah, that’s why I was so confused though. Because the only thing that makes even a little bit of sense if her not wanting her friends to get in trouble but considering how they said she was inviting just about anyone she could, that tells me that even though the people that came were her friends, it’s not like they’re super special to her. Also, they can’t get in trouble for anything since they didn’t even know…but since she’s clearly super naive(or maybe just kind of not smart lol) thinking $1,000 was some crazy amount of money, it makes sense that she doesn’t know that her friends wouldn’t be in trouble. It’s still so weird, man. She seemed incredibly honest about literally everything else.

Can't figure out which was a bigger contribution to her being this way: her natural self, or the perpetual neglect she endured her whole life.
Personally, I think the neglect played a bigger part. I don't think anyone was ever kind to that kid in any way that matters...ever. And so that's what she puts back into the world.

That makes me feel bad a little bit. Bc Back in 2012 I was living in Alaska w\mt hubby. He had been stationed there & we drove thru Canada up into AK in 2009. By 2012 my BFF & get hubby were moving back to the lower 48 & they wanted to drive to save $$. They had 4 kids & 2 BIG DOGS! They were huge. 1 was an English Mastiff for clarity. I told my friend it was a BAD idea! I LOVED the drive & we had a blast! But we are more go w\the flow. We didn't plan any part of it & just made a kinda plan we'd drive until evening then stop wherever we were. Too much been happen to mess up the plans &it can be upsetting even for go w\the flow ppl. My friend is NOT 1 of those ppl. I love her to death STILL! But she's a PLANNER! I'm talking down to the tiniest detail & even had a printed agenda. Booked hotels for the whole trip based on where they wanted to be reach day. Loaded up a u haul trailer & had 2 vehicles. Her & the kids in 1 & hubby & the dogs in the other. But she was worried about bears in Canada & had got bear spray. I told her it was unnecessary. She got it anyways. Well on the way the dogs bit into a pan & exploded it all in the car. & the hubby got your experience. My friend called me TRAUMATIZED & crying all their bookings were messed up bc they were delayed & she was a hot mess & hysterically yelling at me that I SAID IT WAS WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL DRIVE & EXPERIENCE & it's NOT it's the WORST experience of her life! I felt bad but I laughed. I said GIRL! I TOLD U DON'T DO IT!! & I offered u advice the whole way telling u not to book that far in advance! I begged u to get on the plane & be done w\it. In fairness to her I think she probably thought It was just more poor planning on my part & she wouldn't have that problem. I still laugh which is probably unkind of me. At least now she can laugh w\me. But I did feel really bad for the puppies!

I see a scared, lost, definitely mental ill girl and Johnny? He had a bright, happy disposition and then suddenly, totally dead eyes. So I'd say his mental health slipped terribly too. Married and in jail at just 19? No home support, no safe space. Just 2 lost souls who found each other and in their mutual feelings of hopelessness did something evil. It makes you wonder. Even Cassie's uncle said his parents "weren't perfect." Unless they were really, really bad to you you don't publicly remember your murdered parents as yeah they weren't perfect but they were okay I mean they were my parents. Yeah. Says a lot. I found a kitten in the road once and thought it was playing with leaves because I saw it pawing at something. I decided to get it off the road so a car wouldn't hit it. When I picked it up, I saw that it had a severe head injury and its eye was hanging from its socket. Horrified, I frantically started calling every friend with a car I could think of because I didn't have one at the time. I was on a college campus and had no access to a blanket or even a jacket so I wrapped it in paper towels to keep it warm. I think it knew I was trying super hard to help it because it didn't resist me handling it. While I was sitting on a bench frantically calling people for help, the poor thing had a seizure and lost control of its bowels and bladder. I kept trying. Finally I came across a friend of mine who checked his pulse and his breathing. It was too late--the kitten had no pulse and no breath. it was clearly gone. He was nice enough to help me find a place to bury him while I tried to pull myself together. I never forgot that experience--it was horrifying. I felt so guilty as well because even though I tried to get help, I just couldn't get it in time. I, like you, don't understand how anyone an be so casual about death.

A lot of good Christian people are easy to abuse because they feel like it's their Duty as a Christian to help you. The church has failed in the area of teaching boundaries. There are countless women in the church that stay with abusive husbands because the church tells them that's what they're supposed to do. Lots of abusers specifically troll Christian dating sites Define their next victim. Jerry flowers puts it this way we are taught to be easily loyal to people because they are family. But the saying you can choose your friends not your family holds a lot of weight in a scenario like this. We don't owe anyone anything but to love them and we can do that from afar. We have to set boundaries for our own safety and emotional and mental health. Being codependent is not being a good christian. Sometimes our feelings for others cause us to ignore the red flags that God gives us.

My father insisting we help the messed up family of his dead brother led to tearing up our own family because those people grew up without a dad and a mother who didn't care about them and flew away to France with her new boyfriend at the first opportunity leaving 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers to whoever was slightly more responsible than her. Not only it put us in a tough financial situation because the mouths to feed and school fees to pay doubled in one day but because of their troubled past they would constantly cause trouble in the house because they had unsorted mental health issues. The oldest male even attempted to sexually assault my sister which completely changed the course of her life in many ways and still affects her to this day in ways that I won't go in detail about. The older sister at some point decided to just strip naked in front of the house because my mom was yelling at her for getting drunk while she's still a teenager. The youngest would constantly argue with my mom and wouldn't accept any form of authority from anyone except my dad so everyday was just constant fighting putting everyone else in an awkward situation. This is just the things I remember from the top of my head but we went from a happy family to living like trailer park trash just because we were trying to help trouble kids.

This was one of the most interesting and effective interviews Ihave ever seen done by cops. This entire dinner family time together creates a soft setting to start slowly going into a deeper and more unsettling interview yet the interviewer is disarmed and feels safe to talk without any inhibitions. Very cleverly done. Might be the first time she has such an intimate setting which in itself makes an even more sense of safety and familiarity. Bit like talking with your family on a cold rainy miserable day and warm house with warm food on the table and the people you feel safe with. Definitely the most effective interviews I have ever seen on YT.

She knew she lost all her cards at that point, whether the tears were for the fact she would be in equal trouble as Johnny or the fact she could do such a thing after the gruesome act (who knows)

    • @NurseKayP
      @NurseKayP 9 місяців тому +8

She was so void of emotion when discussing her grandparents and then showed emotion over that revelation. It was very bizarre. Somehow she had convinced herself she was victim and her grandparents deserved it. The murder was her only way to freedom. The only thing I can come up with in regard to the bizarre show of emotion is that she cares what her “friends” think about being in the home after the murder. Teens typically care more about how they are viewed by their peers in that stage of their lives. Psychologically there are probably many more complex explanations as to what’s going on in this whole scenario. On a simplistic level her immaturity and life stage may have played a part in her reaction. Perhaps a bit of ego, some narcissistic traits thrown in. Clearly, she has to be a psychopath, but she seemed to genuinely care about her relationship with sunshine. It was shocking.

Glad the female detective called out that Cassie only seemed sorry because she got caught. So often in these interviews that seems to be the case. They start crying only when they realize they're in trouble. It must take a lot of willpower to sit across from the table of a murderer and listen to them lie. I don't know if I could sit and listen to that crap.

One of the saddest details for me is when she says her boyfriend went into her granddad's room and "did his thing". Like, that's you speaking about your granddad getting beaten up. It's crazy, she's crazy. Then how she described her grandmother's last moments, the disgust and confusion she emits as she details it. Then how she says they slit their throats afterwards. It's all very hard to listen to and I've seen some really bad shit on the internet.

@@dave93x These guys are real freaks, behaving like cartel killers when they have a pretty normal upbringing. Saddest part for me is hearing her Grandma saved her $1000 dollars to set her up, and she was basically mocking her for it while describing her brutal and torturous murder. Pure evil
