Ayo- you said your Dad is Nigerian - Ghanaian what does that mean?? ( on Ivy's channel) Are his parents Naija and Ghanaian- or his lineage came from Nigeria and settled in Ghana long ago? I am just intrigued by that. You have a Yoruba name so I guess your Dad is repping his ancestral tribe. I like your couple vibes. Will keep watching and hope the borders open soon. All the best!!
My dad's father was Nigerian and his mother was Ghanaian... hence the mix. And I love my Yoruba name ❤️️! Now we need to talk Tony into taking an African name when he gets home (Nigerian or Ghanaian, I don't mind either). Thanks for the well wishes and for catching us on Ivy's channel. Appreciate the comment too ❤️️😊❤️️

@@ExpatLifeGhana you are not a minority in Africa. Don't view it that way. In Ghana if your fat people will call you 'obolo' which means fat. The culture is different
I suggest you apply for a Ghanaian passport as well. With your Dad being Ghanaian, you qualify for one and the boys. Your husband also qualifies on the grounds of marriage. Ghana accepts dual nationality. All the best in your move.
Great suggestion and one we will be taking advantage of (I hope) so that we can travel more freely in the future (by taking advantage of ECOWAS). We have already started gathering all the needed documents so that we can get that ball rolling. Great tip, though, for anyone else out there who is thinking about traveling to Ghana and has a lineage! Thanks for the well wishes❤️️!
It is better these days, but we are still waiting 😢... As of today they are 1.15 Million behind and processing 200,000 per week (and getting in 150K per week in new applications). Sooo, we will be waiting awhile yet.

Thanks for subbing! We are actually not shipping anything 😶. That will be the video topic for next Friday, so be sure to tune in
I also can't wait for the borders to open and I will be in Accra with the first flight from the US. It would have been nice gate crashing at your 50th party.
Ha! We will hold the party until we get to Ghana and then IT. IS. ON! See you in the motherland!
US will not be allowed in any moment from now, unless they get their covid under control. Hopefully, things change for the better, you're welcome in advance
You guys are so beautiful and lovely
Aww.... thanks ❤️️!
my mate and i have decided to repat to africa (the gambia). what are some of the things you guys did to prepare for the move?
We are going to drop a video next Friday on this topic (preparing to move)... but I think the biggest thing is to save, save, save! You have to have a nest egg ready because there are a lot of upfront expenses.
We just started watching you. We’ve watched a couple videos so far. You’re a cute family with your lil boy. Thank you, you’re educating us.
Didn’t know the continent Africa is bigger than the US. Do you guys have an email address please? We have a few questions to ask about
Ghana.
Hey! Isn't it crazy that with the American map distortion you start thinking the US is bigger than Africa... and it is SOOO not! You can reach out to us through Facebook by clicking here: facebook.com/Expat-Life-Ghana-104312118005115
Thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel ❤️️!
Appreciate the comment too ❤️️😊❤️️
Yeah that Chale shirt Is really Koolio 🙂
Ha! Right?!? Love that, Chale !
After COVID you may fly Delta nonstop from New York.
We know of someone who just took a special DC to ACC flight, so they are still running some... I hope they do not close that route, but if we have to do JFK, so be it. We just want to get there 😉. Thanks for the comment ❤️️!
Hi my brother and sister. Quick question for tony, are you going to do construction over in Ghana
Hey Dooegg! I want to maybe do some construction consultation and instruction. I'd like to teach western building techniques to Ghanaians looking for ways to be more profitable. If that opportunity arises, I'll take advantage!
Please don’t feel bad being called Obronii they don’t mean any harm. It’s out of love.
Oh no, not offended at all. I just think it's interesting to be a minority in America and in Africa as an African-American .
I am in Washington and anytime we go to Ghana my wife is called obroni and she’s from Cameron.
@@ExpatLifeGhana you are not a minority in Africa. Don't view it that way. In Ghana if your fat people will call you 'obolo' which means fat. The culture is different
GH👌👌👌
OK chale, thanks.
Hahahha don't worry the pandemic will so slow down hahahha we want ur back in west Africa. Beautiful family I really like your content.
Thanks so much! We will get there... we will get there. 🇬🇭

@wodemaya come show this channel some L O V E !!!!!
He is a good one to show love to
Love.
Right back at ya ❤️️!
Wow!!! 1.8 Mil. Backlog???
It is better these days, but we are still waiting 😢... As of today they are 1.15 Million behind and processing 200,000 per week (and getting in 150K per week in new applications). Sooo, we will be waiting awhile yet.

Hey Joe, how are you?
What are your plans for work while living in Ghana? Will you be working virtually in the US?
Yes @damphatty - Ayo will be working virtually. Tony wants to work in construction, preferably teaching others skills of the trade. Great question! 😉
Africa belongs to you all diaspora of African descent. From the Americas to the Caribbean and Pacific islands.
This is your land. In Africa you dont have to justify anything. You got best of both worlds.
Caucasians have free access to their homeland Europe so why not our bros and sistas in diaspora.
Africa is your land. Love you all.
Agreed! We just need to get other black Americans to see the truth in your words and trust in the beauty and love of Africa!
@@ExpatLifeGhana stay blessed. We are on the up. Love you all.
Am a pastor, and college professor in the Houston area. I heard you say that you’re in the Houston area. I also oversee a non profit here in Houston as well. As a college instructor, I also work with a select group of foreign exchange international students, who have gone back to their respective countries. Ghana being one of them. These students help provide community service through my non profit here, but they serve in Ghana. Myself and a group of my non profit partners plan on going to Ghana either in 2021 or shortly thereafter. Check out what my non profit has done in Houston and in Ghana by searching on Facebook and Instagram “Kids Lives Matter International”.
Awesome my home is in Houston but I live in Dubai
When you make it to Ghana, please look us up. And I was JUST talking to someone about the increasing opportunities for black youth in America to travel to Africa and connect to their ancestry. Thank YOU for creating and continuing to support travel beyond American borders. It opens the mind, heart and souls of future change makers in an immeasurable way . Thanks for sharing!
Expat Life Ghana I sure will look you all up. What a blessing it is to meet those who’ll be moving to Ghana. Please keep posting once you move, so we can keep up with you guys.
Yay!!!
@Catherine this is great news to hear. I wanted to start a NPO doing the same as yours. I will check out your Facebook and organization as well. This is so cool🙌🏾
Chale common Ghana terms
Chale, we love it❤️️!
