you certainly have some mad skills, my friend! Well done!
Thanks Steve!
That knife with exhibition grade ironwood .
Nice work beautiful knife. One little word of caution when belt sanding and grinding maybe roll up your sleeves or button the cuffs all it take is a split second and you now have a broken wrist or worse. I know it will hurt like hell . Always remember SHOP SAFETY
Thanks for the reminder, yeah loose clothing is a hazard!
No surgery rite now but I will after they get my heart straightened out then scopes on both ends and she explained the hole to me it's caused by inclination and my large and small intestine have kind of healed together and there is a hole connecting them
all that nice gear. but a worn out hat. Like the priorities man
Great video man! I loved the shot of the handle when you dabbed the oil on! Keep on Keeping on man! Cheers
Thanks man!
I definitely need one of those.
I don’t see anything like this on your website, think you’ll make another anytime soon?
Eventually!
Do you ever use an angle grinder to get rid of the scale before you go to the belt sander?
Yep
where did you get that nickel from?
Admiral steel online
Do you still get the billet to welding temp due to the nickel?
Yes, nickel welding temps are similar to steel
Amazing belt grinder. What kind is that?
Thanks, that is a KMG from Beaumont Metal Works
How’s that forge you built doing? Did you end up having to take it back apart and seal it with mortar? I’m about to build another, almost exactly like that one but a ribbon burner
It's doing pretty good, I didn't end up sealing it, doesn't seem to need it
That nickel really makes it pop... awesome job man, loved your video.
I like how Darth Vader came in and put the finishing touches on the handle. Lol
haha, right?
Top
Thank you
Man that thing is gorgeous. Question, is the nickel pure nickel? I love how it put that distinct line between the other 2 steels. I'm assuming the outside blocks were Damascus....I couldn't see what you wrote on it.
You don't have to answer that. I went to the link you put and read the details i was unsure of. Again man, gorgeous work
@@nateand3 Thanks man, yep you got it
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
Thank you!
Came out great! Love to watch your skill...but no singing this time? Kinda feel like I missed out. LOL
Haha, yeah i have to work on something for next time, haha. Thanks for watching!
That nickel at the edge was a near disaster!!
Awesome knife. Love the shape and the metal combo is ace!!!!!
Thanks! I got a couple wobbles during forging that put it a little close to the edge, but as the core runs up the entire width I'm not worried about it.
nice...i love nessmuk!!
Awesome work as always! Have you heard about that copper san-mai steel? I have a pretty good feeling you can do it!
Thanks! Yes i have, may have to try it sometime
How much ? Let the world own your art !

What produce did you apply to the Handle Scales ?
That is Watco Danish oil
Stunning blade! Really impressive
Thank you
That's not san my
That's a badass build. Very well done
Thank you!
you a great work shop , however the Damascus you just made is not folded on itself at all all you have done is hot welded some steel together .... i though the quality and beauty of Damascus steel was in the number of folds on the blade to make the steel tougher and sharper ......
The edge is mono steel on this knife anyway, however the term Damascus isn't referring to historical damascus steel, but pattern welded steel as it has been in the knife industry for quite some time now.. Thanks for watching!
What with and how do you coat the knife handle ?
That is Watco brand Danish oil, clear/ natural color. Heavy application to allow the wood to absorb, wipe off excess after an hour or so.
Beautifull knife😍😍😍
Thanks!
Best nessemku ever, well done 👌
Thanks!
Beautifully done
Thanks!
Beautiful work!
Thank you!
Awesome work!
Thanks!
I like the look of the nickel..
Thanks!
@@FireCreekForge I'd like to see you do some explosion Damascus.. I cant do Damascus that intricate because my power hammer isnt as efficient as a press.. I'm working on building a press but it's still a ways off.. I still like to watch other people do intricate Damascus like explosion thou..lol
