- This is a multi purpose combat utility knife that I'm forging for a Marine.
The steel is high carbon 80CrV2. Blade length about 5.5". Handle scales black/coyote G10, with Loveless bolts.

....you .....Sir.......are......a true Master of your craft..................
Dude you can sing! Thanks for the song I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching!
Dude, using the drill press to set the eyelets was pretty genius! Heating your coffee with the heat gun😂😂😂 great work man, beautiful knife!
Thanks! The press idea came from a viewer, it works well
Yes, chopping through a 2x4 proves the point....and the edge😊
Beautiful knife and a perfect carry size. I’d have loved one like that on my kit when I was in.
Thank you!
it's a beautiful thing to see a UA-camr professing our Lord Jesus Christ with a song while forging a knife 👍 cool brother, God bless you and your family .
Thank you, I appreciate it
I doubt I’d be any good at it, but just once I’d like the opportunity to shape metal.
It just looks so satisfying to craft a device of your own creation
Worth trying!
That looks great! Didn't know you did Kydex, good to know....To the Marine who ordered that, Thank you for your service! Enjoy that knife sure looks like a nice one.
Elijah, as always well done my friend
Stay safe!
Thanks Steve
I love the narration in the exclamation! Talk about a real man, dude don't even wear gloves, awesome
gloves prevent you from feeling how hot the blade is getting, way to uncomfortable long before the temper is ruined
I love that knife and the craftsmanship. Great job. SA sergeant of Marines myself, I will tell you that I would proudly carry a knife just like that.
Thank you!
Lovely blade he should be very happy with that. And thank those who serve to protect us.
Thank you!
I wish they got together and protected us from our own government....Sweet blade tho.
Good looking knife, top job! Regards from the land “ down under “.
Thanks!

Enjoyed the knife making and song about the comming doubled edged sword !
If there's one thing we need, it's the gospel!
Nice work, like the break up appearance over the sheath and handle, but the blade is beautiful!
Thanks!

Lost everything in Katrina, Don’t think I’ll ever get back to where I was but will again have something nice. would you consider doing a Katrina knife for a old US Air Force Man?
Sorry to hear that. Yes I would consider that
Most of what I had was passed down to me, but nothing hand made like what you do. Lots of time has passed but when you see someone taking the time to do really nice work it take me back to before the storm when I had nice things. I lived on the beach in Mississippi in pass Christian where the eye of Katrina came ashore. Old news in this day
Yes sir I’m washed in the blood of the Lamb
I know I say this every freakin video, but this is my new favorite and I promise you, I will be buying/ordering one of these. You you probably be in Texas before I do tho
Thanks man!
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
Thank you!
Great work
Well done 👌
Thank you
Great build man.
Thanks!
I'm 2 min. in, Nice camera shots of forging the tip. I would probably smack the camera. lol
Haha, thanks!
Good video, then the song..........now it’s a great video. God bless you Son
Thank you!
how did i miss this one?
You could have just cut off the shapes but you chose to forge it, i mean thats what i always comes to my thought whenever i see knife making videos, because it saves a ton of steel as compared to drilling\cutting it off.
DUDE! Yes!! We ALL need to be washed by the blood of the Lamb - Jesus Christ our savior!
God Bless! Awesome work my friend!
Gorgeous work man! Would love to see an in depth video on how you do kydex!
Thanks! I did a video on kydex a while back, should be able to find it if you look back in the videos a couple months
@@FireCreekForge i will look! Thanks man!
Здравствуйте отличная робота мастер класса 👍👍👍👍👍👍
good job. smart blade
Thanks!
Amen
👌
Beautiful knife I have been looking for one similar to this how much?
I put a link to the listing for it in the description
Nice singing, how about your version of amazing grace?
Thanks, will have to do that sometime
nice knife, the only thing i got think over was is how the user is going to attach the knife sheat to his pants or belt? didn´t see anything to do that on it.
other then that concern i do like what you made there, really nice.
Thanks! It can be attached with a friend tek lock or para cord lashing
Put a desert ironwood handle and I’m sold... hate that mixed micarta stuff
Yep that would be nice too!
Bon fait
How can I get one of these knives? Except it would be for an army vet just saying! LOL
You bet! Please contact me through my website and we can
discuss the particulars. www.firecreekforge.com
Fire Creek Forge well do!
Do you ever do bend testing or hardness testing on your blades?
I do bend testing, I don't have a way to hardness test. I'm not as concerned with that, as i have a target hardness which i test performance at (Edge retention, toughness) which tells me more of what i need to know.
I'm newer to forging. What is that thing your using to sand the blade
no ice block chop test?
Beautiful! That go to our Marine?
Thank you, yep!
Do you have faith in the words you sang, "are you washed in the blood of the Lamb"? If you mean thereby Christ's agonizing bleeding crucifixion death for the forgiveness of sins, I fully concur. (I am a Lutheran pastor emeritus.) BTW, also admire your blade forging skill.
What material is that you used for the sheath
Great job. What were you sanding the bevels with?
Thanks! I'm using a steel bar with a strip of sand paper wrapped around it, tearing off each section as it is used up.
Thanks. I could not see the paper.
What was that material you used for the sheath?
Kydex
😎💀💀💀 WITHY JESUS YOU STRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!😎👆👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👏👊👏👏👏👏👏
Amen!!!
What's the best stone for sharpening that type of steel?
Any sharpening stone will work. I use Norton stones
@@FireCreekForge Thanks!
What is that drillbit called?? The one for the g10 scales
The stepped bit for the counter bore? It's designed specifically for the handle bolts, I get it from Jantz supply
The nife was good but i m not sure about the the handel
But what's wrong with the handle...? 😁
Christian also from JIL church
I like 80CrV2 steel, but not sure the best choice for a Marine. Btw great work!
We all need a good normalising cycle these days...lol
Right..?
Whats tactical here exactly. Unless your blade is double edge dagger word tactical don't apply to it. Imagine taking a single edge blade to combat lol.
Thats funny..
The K- bar comes to mind along with every bayonet since WW2.
Man you're gonna lose a finger eventually freehand drilling like that
Well, this particular drill press stalls out pretty easy so as long as i don't let go nothing happens...
JUST DONT LET GO
You had me until you got religious
Try nails
Please, don't sing
Good vocals bro!
