I daily my R6, and have been doing so for about a year and a half now. Let me tell you something, if you want something more comfortable, maybe you should just get a Honda Accord. Or better yet, a minivan.
@@YernBelfus ok boomer, let me hit you with some knowledge. When I'm on my R6, I'm a whole different person. I push that bike to its absolute limits. I bought mine in March 2023. Use it as a daily. It's my 3rd bike but 1st sport bike. Absolutely in love with it. Would like to take it to the track but gotta be more proficient with riding. This will probably be my forever living museum piece.

I personally prefer the final gen (2017+) R6; looks way more aggressive, better aero, has drives modes, TC and ABS whilst still being as light as the previous gen’s.
Got an 08 r6 as my first bike & absolutely love it (rode dirtbikes my whole life). I just street ride it atm til I can afford consistent track riding and a suit but we will get there
You'll hear a lot of Guys Saying They're "Gutless" at lower RPM, but this is a misconception.. They're Gutless compared to Themselves. Theres a huge difference above 6-7k that it "Feels" Gutless at lower RPM. But so does pretty much every other Bike compared to an R6's Powerband.
I have a 2008 R6 as a daily. Super easy to compute on. I also have a 2013 Daytona 675 and that I feel is more commanding at lower speeds due to high low rpm torque.
I ride one of these all the time for hours. I am 6'4 and 230lbs. I know there are more comfortable bikes out there, but it's greatly exaggerated how uncomfortable they are.
I had a vfr. Loved the bike but definitely isn’t the best “sports bike” it was comfortable as hell and could take the freeway for miles with good wind protection. Could have been a almost perfect sport tourer if it had 40 more hp
The 1st Gens have a little less HP and a little more Torque, I think around 10ft/lbs and You notice it on the Street. My 02's perfectly content putting around Town.

What's your budget? The 500r is the most expensive in the class with little to show for it. It makes less power than the Z and ninja 400 in the US market, and cost about $1500 more.
@lybahussain7407 it's quite reliable and does look pretty good. But the sound is nothing special imo. It's not nearly as raspy or insane as supersports, or grunty as cruisers. It's just a decent motorcycle.

Yamaha really discontinued this model to make a new model for a couple years and then discontinue their 600cc altogether 😂 my god that is incredibly dumb
My 08's R6 was on rebuild almost 2 years, today i rode it to test (2 years i was riding 300cc street bike) and it was damn scary and dangerous for me, this thing is a bullet and much angry than normal daily motorcycles, for sure its not a beginner bike! For first, this is a track weapon, street riding is optional purpose for that machine!

Absolutely crazy that i just found out the r6 got discontinued, the aftermarket for these will make it extremely hard to find.
So black market for these in India
You still have a Race edition in most of the world you can buy
I love my ‘08 R6, it’s my bad decision bike and I’ve always wanted a “fast boy” bike for as long as I’ve been riding.
I don't think that's a reasonable question@@YernBelfus
I absolutely love my 08 R6 it works just fine for a street bike I have no complaints, there’s more then enough power for the streets

I've a VFR1200. It's a shame Honda killed the VFR. This thing is brilliant.
You have clearly never watched any other YN video because he has ridden a vfr 800 and a vfr 400...
Totally different bikes tho r6 is a short burst bike.. but I do like the vfr easy to maintain for regular use
Iv owned one since 09. Enjoy the ab workout, boys. No pain, no gain. 😅
Daytona 675 or R6
Can we compare the 2 side to side
I will keep my 08r6 for life
