Hats off to you for sticking to the ride even when you’re wet and cold 👍 … real biker 🏍️💪, stay safe.
Well done! Its hard on long and wet rides. I hate over trousers but as a budget biker they're essential. Being small you should be able to find they roll up small enough to stash on the bike somewhere.
Ride safe, Lady J Rider
Great Video! That bridge can feel scary in a car when it is windy. Well done. I did a holiday in Snowdonia on my z400 last year, it was the perfect bike for the twisty roads.
Wales is very high on the "to visit" list!
Your video are SO crisp, I could watch them all day! I'd watch a video if you just rode for an hour or something, no talking needed, just a gorgeous ride-along! Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! Maybe I'll upload some rides with no commentary if I go on a nice route. I have one where I'm just filtering for the whole video. I liked making that one
Lomies is near me . I have Gerbing gloves .
I just did my BikeSafe course with Gordy... Great bloke and I'm planning on joining him on his next ride on the 5th Nov.
I'm based in London and usually head out to Rykas and then South from there or East in to Essex and around Burnham. I never get tired of finding new roads to ride and finding great places.
Enjoy your riding!
Nice :D
nice awesome rainy riding!...
Thanks!
Well done on those wet roads. 👍🏽
It was pretty cold! Haha
Shame I missed out on this. I'd keep more of an eye on social media but I just haven't the time these days. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
It was a very cold day. We'll have to go up for another in the spring! I'm sure Gordy said he was going to do another one eventually
2 hours solo really can be a killer, you've got huge spirit to kill that. Better than myself😂!
I find the music is key for staying focused/entertained for these kind of distances
Keeping dry and warm is an underrated thing 🤣. I opted for heated gloves and some good laminated textiles ...Took out the chunky thermal liners and got a cheap £50 down jacket which can fold into a pocket size when not in use with some soft fleece lined compression base layers. I really enjoy riding in the rain now. Awesome vid, can't wait to see what you got planned for the year.
I think laminated textiles are the king of waterproofing. I just ordered some goretex overtrousers since I'm not ready to splash out just yet, so I'll have to see how they do
My bike is currently garages until April (ish) but like you hoping for some longer trips this year. Great vid and Well battled those wet conditions.
Thanks for watching!
enjoyed your video I just got my cb500f 2023 and I'm loving it bit nerve racking from a cb125f but looking forward to some nice rides, keep the vids coming they are very informative 😊
stay safe and safe ride
Kev
It's a bit of a jump right? :p
@@ayserides yes feels like i have wings 😂
Great video. Long way to go for some good rides. Loved the way Gordy had total control of the road. Long time ago when you first did the bike safe with him. It just seems so long ago.
I was still on my 125 last time I rode with him! Crazy looking back
Loomies run a popular weekend ride for me...I usually leave early to make the most roads with lighter traffic....I was going to head over last Sunday but plans changed.
Not a fan of the A3(M) for riding enjoyment (when sticking to limits), but sometimes reducing journey time is more important.
Next time if weather better maybe on return head north on A31 from Loomies before hooking up to A3(M).
Ride Safe 👍🏍
I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the nicer roads to and from!
@@ayserides Well worth it. I trimmed some fat from my ramblings above (you maybe saw before edit)..Good riding roads nearby for sure...I will happily get the brews in if I see you there anytime 👍
Can you do a video of how to set up a moto youtube channel what steps did you take?
Mostly I grabbed a cheap action camera off of amazon to begin with and had a play around with filming and editing some videos, initially using the photos app on my laptop
Now I use a gopro hero 7 black and davinci resolve to edit and voice over the videos. I tried a few times with getting a good mic placement inside my helmet but I prefer the voice over style
Nice work great video. What bike was Gordy riding? I made the mistake last year of the wrong trouser 😂🤣😂🤣😂 luckily I was only a couple of hours away from home but my legs were soaked so now always carry a all in one waterproof in my back box or tank bag. Just a little tip🤣😂🤣🤣
I think he was on a pan europeon, if I remember correctly. I've since bought some goretex overtrousers and they are actually such a god send 😂
@@ayserides do you think doing a bike safe is a good idea as I’m thinking about it. But think I might be too old I’m 54 and just returned to biking on a FJR1300 not got much confidence cornering but I’m not interested in going fast.
A bikesafe is very, very worth it. I've done 2 and I can't recommend them enough. I've never felt as confident on the bike as I did after the 2 bikesafe courses
@@ayserides thank you I’ll book one then asap. Looking forward to your next video stay safe and enjoy life 😂🤣👍👍
What navigation device are you using and how does it compare to using a phone ?
It's the garmin zumo xt. I bought it because its more durable than my phone, and its easier to plan routes than through a phone app. Let me find the video I made comparing them
