No auto-tune, no backing tracks, no fireworks, no profanity - just pure, straightforward music with one acoustic guitar, meaningful, heartfelt lyrics and perfect harmony. That's they way music should always be. God bless you, Brian Wilson.
I grew up in the church of Christ and learned harmony there. To hear this song and "Don't worry Baby" along with the Everly Brothers helped my singing voice, tonality and pitch.
So beautiful the Day Brian goes will the day music dies Once again .... the world will not be a good place .... I love watching Brian and Al Jardine sing and talk... Chris Cross is also awesome.
Would be nice to see Bruce do some shows with Brian. Nice vocal blend on the pair. Poor Bruce just seems like such a muppet on Mike’s carnival act. His talents could really be used in Brian’s band. Oh well…. one can dream.
all right already …. who is ‘Bruce’…. and why are you doggging him … i don’t see any of you two naysayers onstage up there … so, where’s your $#!+ at you nobody bo bo bozo no no knuckleheaded twin peak pie holes
There’s more Beach Boys on Brian Wilson’s band than in the Beach Boys! Brian has: himself, Al, and Blondie (I think Carl would probably tour with Brian if he was still alive, Dennis retired?! 😂)
Where I and generations of the world’ s children retreated to escape abusive, mothers, fathers , sisters , brothers, teachers , friends , priests , ministers ,and ,nameless cretins.
OK, I need some help here. Obviously Brian Wilson and Bruce Johnston on one mic, Timothy B Schmit and Christopher Cross on the other. But is that Don Henley behind Tim & Chris? And who is on guitar, Randy Meisner?
@@NOWtheband Hell....NO. These are REAL musicians. People with actual skill, intelligence, and musical knowledge. Not the "wanna be's" that churn out today's garbage.
@@bengates1301 Autotune or pitch correction is common in both the studio and live performances. Not every voice can stay perfectly in tune. Don’t get it confused with the pop artists that overmanipulate their voices with it.
@@thesecondround0 Precisely. There are vocal effects used to augment the raw track and then there are people that can't sing in tune and don't put in the time and effort it takes to become an accomplished musician.
This is categorically without auto tune … because this is a blend of voices on two microphones and auto tune is only effective on solo singular notes … these talents are serious harmonic masters.
I recognize Chris Cross, TB Schmidt, and Brian. I think that's Gary Moore on guitar but sorry......who are the other two guys? No doubt they must be icons.......sorry guys!
The guy between Timothy & Chris (the one with the mullet) might be Joe Thomas, but it's hard to get a good look at him. The video description says its "from a 1999 film." If that's true, wasn't it around this time that Brian & Joe filed counter lawsuits against each other? That would have been awkward. And the guitarist is Jim Peterik, who co-wrote several of .38 Special's biggest hits - like "Hold On Loosely" & "Caught Up In You."
Scoff and laugh at me, if you want. But, I have actually emailed members of my church’s world famous choir, up in Salt Lake City, if you know who I mean, would try to do a version of this song, since it truly is spiritual in nature. Well, it’s worth a try.

Pretty sure there’s a very small amount of auto tune…
@@darthjesus420 And you know that how? Never mind, you don't know, but you felt compelled to post something. Good for you. Feel better?
When great artists sing your music
That's a compliment!!!!!!!!
I came of age in the sixties listening to the Beach Boys. Timeless music that will never grow old.
The harmony of these incredible voices is just mesmerizing. Their songs stay with you for life and after 50 years you still can't get enough of it.
One of Brian Wilson's masterpieces....unbelievable..!!!
This has to be one the beautiful songs ever written
Boy how I miss those days. Simply Beautiful
This room is one composition you can never forget, a deceptively simple arrangement.
Must be extremely satisfying to sing this harmony.
I was friends with GARY USHER, Brian was so lucky to have him as a friend. Such a timelessly beautiful song. they wrote together.
I grew up in the church of Christ and learned harmony there. To hear this song and "Don't worry Baby" along with the Everly Brothers helped my singing voice, tonality and pitch.
Brian Wilson has a talent for grabbing your heart in such an innocent way
The Harmonies when the 6 of them are singing is amazing
Just Beautiful!! Compilation of Voices from the "Beach Boys" and "The Eagles!" Bravo!!!! 🎉❤🎶🥰👏🏻👏🏻
Now I've found this I can't stop listening to it.
So beautiful the Day Brian goes will the day music dies Once again .... the world will not be a good place .... I love watching Brian and Al Jardine sing and talk... Chris Cross is also awesome.
It reminds me of walking through the state fair and listening to am radio on transistor radio. All the latest hits all the latest sounds. AM radio.
Another song where Tim Schmidt's voice is so recognizable.
Brings back so many memories of my younger years, makes me melancholy
I know what you mean. I feel the same way. Thanks for listening.
Amazingly beautiful and moving, I absolutely love this song.
When I was a little boy i could talk to God about anything God bless the beach boy
I love this song of The Beach Boys every time i hear it I get the chills and I like a lot of their songs.
One of the greatest songs ever written, period
I can remember the only place I could go and tell God how I felt about being a kid God bless the beach boys
In my opinion, this is Brians' best song, and that is saying a lot !
Love it. Down Memory Lane ❤❤❤
Thanks guys 👍👍👍
❤❤❤ Incredible! I'm so glad I was able to see this video. Thank you!
You are very welcome. Thanks so much for watching!
So, so good! Those are some of the best voices of our era for harmony. And this still is such a lovely song.
Well said, Cat. You know how I feel about harmony groups. Thanks so much for your comment.

The genius of Brian Wilson.
brian wilson was incredible and what a great loss to a great vouce
So much talent all in one place, amazing!
This is imo the best version of this song I've heard
A reminder of why they were the best! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐➕👍

When talent was really talent. Stand up and deliver. No fancy electronics.
Totally Agree!
Beautiful version of a beautiful song!
Would be nice to see Bruce do some shows with Brian. Nice vocal blend on the pair. Poor Bruce just seems like such a muppet on Mike’s carnival act. His talents could really be used in Brian’s band. Oh well…. one can dream.
Bruce Johnston status has downgraded even further from sidekick to just muppet 😁

I would love it! Even on TV - not concert.

This brings back some great memories! Sounds really beautiful! :):)

Would love to see Tim Schmit play with Brian I get the feeling he loves this music. His version of Carloline No is incredible.

VERY WONDERFUL MUSIC AND VIDEO.
Thank you, Larry. My all time favorite band, The Beach Boys.
🎉very special
Take that, 21st Century.
thank you xxxx
What a crazy dressed down arrangement
so good jim, big like from jane and brian.
Qualifies for me, Jane and Brian. Thanks so much for the like.
Timothy B. Schmit… Poco, The Eagles, The Coral Reefer Band, and the Beach boys! Is there a more rounded career or awesome voice?
Nirvana cant get enough

You all go on tour !!!
Is that Timothy B. Schmidt?
Yes
I don’t know all these artists. I know Brian, Timothy and Mike. Could someone identify the others? Thank you.
Was auto tune used. I mean I am just curious. This is a very glorious melodic six part harmony
It's possible.
It ia a Joe Thomas production after all!

Nice but not the original vocal arrangement of Brian's. Thirds either missing or being doubled......blechh. Surprised Brian didn't correct this.
