HOLY GUACAMOLE
Please react to their 1989 concert in Seattle and their tracks the 4 Horsemen or Master of Puppets, plz!!!
This is the funeral of the Soviet Union it was a free concert.
How do you police that well you don't the Russian Army were there rocking out themselves
Yes they are still the biggest band in the world. Nothing changed since then
I’m almost positive it was a free concert for the people of Russia after the wall fell
It was
If you want crazy energy, please react to Metallica "battery" live in Seattle 1989. It's next level
I will andy, cheers!
great show but not as crazy as this.
@@markvanderstelt8999 I disagree. Metallica were so much more aggressive and on fire in Seattle. And even though the crowd wasn’t as big as Moscow they were going damn hard. The energy was next level
@@andyk2607 they were younger but not better I will take this Metallica all day.
@@markvanderstelt8999 well it’s only two years difference so it’s minimal, but their playing was better in Seattle in my opinion. They’re arguably tighter live these days but as far as power and aggression, 86-89 is the bench mark
Can you imagine being on stage in front of 1.5 million people inhaling their first taste of freedom to your band?!? Absolutely epic!!
Harvester of sorrow from same concert is Epic!!
They are in there 50s now and still perform an number of large shows each year
Greatest band in history!
I've seen them live twice and they are fucking amazing! 2+ hours of blistering, face melting metal...my ears rang for hours afterwards. 🤘Rock On!🤘
Hello from Cody Wyoming! You are awesome keep it up!!
They absolutely still perform.
It's funny. Because James Hetfield is shouting "DIE DIE DIE" And the russians, who don't understand English, are shouting " DA DA DA" wich means, ironical enough, "YES"
As a Russian, I will correct you a little, in addition to the word Da, we have the word "Dai" which sounds the same to the "die", and which translates as "give", so what's even more ironic :)
They still exist and tour👍😉
As I understand they stopped counting at 1.6 million people, no one knows the real total, and it was a free concert. Also 53 people died at this concert.
By the end of their set it’s believed there was 2 million, they stopped counting at 1.6 million.
500k tickets sold
Hey guys, I stream on Twitch where I will be reacting live to music! come follow! www.twitch.tv/adamcouser
You need to do the OPENING SONG to the concert!
Metallica- Enter Sandman!!! You’ll see the crowd there for sure!!!
Well, you could jump straight to their 1999 S&M concert with "Bleeding Me"... playing with a symphony, so you go from Metallica with an absurd number of people in the audience to Metallica with an absurd number of people on stage (who all.. ALL nailed it 100%).
My favorite Metallica collection. I row to it.
Adam you need to look at Meshuggah - Bleed live and just listen to Tomas Haake’s insane drumming 🇸🇪
Great Reaction. Liked! The song is about the story of Passover.
1.6 million people. It was a free show. It's the 3rd largest open air concert on the planet all time. #1 is Rod Stewart with 3.5 million in Rio de Janiero in 1994. Google the photos of that. They are insane.
Metallica still tours. Touring America this Fall & Winter (Sept-Dec 2021) Overseas next year. Closest to you is scheduled for June 15, 2022 in
Copenhagen, Denmark Copenhell @ Refshaleøe(Sold Out Already) And June 26, 2022 in
Clisson,
France Hellfest @ Val de Moine.(Also Sold Out already)
All covid talk aside, there ARE artists like this nowadays. They are one of them at the very top of the mountain.
As I understand it was the first song of the Christian Metal genre
The Moscow concert in 1991 was a free concert. The bands that played there made no money from that concert. They literally only had a week to get ready for it. James Hetfield had them shouting "die" because most of them didn't speak english and was the easiest way for James and the band to get the crowd participating with the show. This was before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the USSR. The USSR was very totalitarian. By 1994 the wall was down and Russia came into existence along with their government becoming more open to foreigners. At the time of this concert, the USSR still had control of East Germany, they had held that control since WWII.
There were over a 1.6 milion people... Their most visited show ever.
Try reacting to some of the songs (Blackened, Master of Puppets, Whiplash) they've played in Seattle '89, in my opinion their most powerful show ever. :)
Hey man, how about some of their concert from 1989 Seattle? The 4 Horsemen or The Thing that Should Not Be!! Both are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
It was a free show just after the Berlin Wall fell and it was an estimated 1.6 million heads.
Ok you've got to react to Seattle 1989, either their track The 4 Horsemen, or Master of Puppets!!! It's an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G concert!!!!!!!
you should do battery seatle 89 live
The Kings
Imagine if you can, the port-a-potties.
If you can get 1.5 million people to all chant 'DIE' in unison then you have power.
This was just after the Soviet Union fell. They just had started allowing shows like this. Metallica were quite upset after the show when they were told how many rapes and murders took place during their show. Heavy stuff. I remember when they went, those of us born in the 60's and earlier couldn't really believe they went. The cold war was a bitch! Don't forget about Type O Negative!
Do ironbound by Overkill or really ANYTHING by Overkill. They are my favorite band and they hit hard.
Do you like them now and also great video bro!
Those were the days, no better time to be a music fan!
Yes. Metallica is still around. If not for the pandemic, they'd still be touring. They are probably putting out their 11th album next year.
awesome bro!
🤘👍👍🤘ed
Yep. Still cranking music. Still at the top of their game. And yep..I also think it was a free concert. You've a long library to work through lol
free concert
isn't this the second time you reacted to this? Pretty sure it is.
It was a free concert
there were over 1.6 million people, there they stopped counting
Their performance of Enter Sandman at the same concert is phenomenal, I think a young ovenchicken was also there.
No way, serious? hahaha
Unlikely but the resemblance is uncanny, when you see it you will never unsee it.
I can only imagine how great it must have been to be at this concert! The unfortunate part is that over 50 people died at this concert. Apparently, the military was literally beating people to death. Sad!!
It was a free concert.
if you wanna hear some interesting metal you should check out a Folk metal band called Bloodywood-Yaad they are from india so good also do u have a patreon or anything to pay for suggestions ?
Love how Kirk's guitar got so out of tune at the end of the solo. I would love to see bleed by Meshuggah or Deliverance by Opeth.
Much love from Denmark 🇩🇰
This is out the Book of Exodus
8.7/10
This song is about a Bible story The slaughter of the firstborn of Egypt from the viewpoint of the Destroying Angel. It is possible the first performance of the Christian Metal genre.
To play THAT good in front of THAT many people…fk me.
That was one of the last times where Metallica wasn't the headliner. ACDC was the headliner and, as I understand, Pantera was the opening act
Your taking the pistorious by hung like hanratty. Or any thing them theybare hilarious
Please know the song before react of their live performance
duck tape fix all headsets :)
The Russian police and military were beating the hell out of people because they didn't understand what a mosh pit was... You can see it in the "Harvester of Sorrow" video from this concert.
If you are wondering why they are shouting die , you completely missed the the most impressive part of the song which is the lyrics, it’s the Old Testament bible story of the Passover
In fact, there were 200-250,000 people. So that"s a lot,but everything else was invented by a journalists
Edited
I'm a bit sorry to say this, but Metallica sang better songs at the same concert. You didn't pick one of the great ones mate.
Like:
Enter Sandman
Master of Puppets
Harvester of Sorrow
Shame the audio quality sucks
The Soviet Army policed this concert
Shoutin "Die" bc its based of the bible, the angel of death, coming over the houses and killing anyone that didnt have a goat or something (Creeping Death). 100% based on the bible this is a bad explanation lol. Love the reaction :)
"Die, by my hand, i creep across the land, killing the first born man" its from the bible, about killing the first born son dont recall the chapter lol
Unfortunately almost 60 people died.
