Jason's backing vocals in this one never stop to amaze me!
James voice back in the day ❤ so fucking powerful!
And drunk
Voice back is the Jason himself every sentence of stuff….Never will be better ….He gave the soul….
One million people singing DIE!!
That shit gives me goosebumps every time!!
While this isn't the biggest concern in history, it's widely regarded as one of the most important because it was the first western concert since the fall of the soviet union, a major symbol for the peace they had just obtained from the communists.
Which one was bigger? I'm pretty sure I read that it was the biggest. Some years ago so I'm probably wrong
@@JREinaNutshell331 IF I’m not mistaken, Rod Stewart had a concert in the 90s with around 4 million people, and it is the largest. It was also a free concert on a beach, so there’s that
Nope the Soviet Union hadn't collapsed yet, it collapsed about 3-4 months after this concert
If we exclude celebrations that just so happened to also have concerts, like the New Year’s Eve shows in Rio, or the Bastille Day in France, this show was the largest at the time. Only being beaten by Jean-Michel Jarre in the same city, Moscow, 6 years later. But even that we could almost put an * next to because it was a celebration of the 850th anniversary of the city of Moscow. This concert was, and still is, the single largest concert that wasn’t celebrating anything, it was just a concert for people to listen to music. Like the Rio ones I can’t count those because half those people probably didn’t even know there was a concert going on because the count was probably just how many people were out on the beach and in the streets of Rio during NYE those years. Like they didn’t have a VENUE for those shows. Not everyone was there for a concert, most people were there to celebrate NYE and were just partying on the beach and in the streets for NYE and there just happened to be a stage set up and someone was performing because of course there would be for a NYE party. And the Bastille day one is similar, there were just a fuck ton of people out in Paris to celebrate the holiday and there happened to be a concert going on at the same time. The only one that you could really argue would be the #1 spot which was that 850th anniversary of Moscow one. Because it’s more likely that people were celebrating it by going to the concert, because 850 is a weird number to just celebrate with that many people out around the city just to celebrate. Granted i don’t know how it’s celebrated there and maybe they do have a big celebration every year for the city, so maybe it was something similar where people were just out celebrating the big day like usual except there was also a concert going on and so they just estimated the amount of people at and around the concert because of the celebration and said that was the attendance. But there’s no question that this concert was the largest that was at one specific venue where everyone there, was there ONLY for the concert and the music because there wasn’t a holiday happening where the numbers were boosted from a large crowd just out in the streets celebrating the holiday. So in my book, this is still the largest true concert in history
Harvester Of Sorrow live Moscow 1991 is also amazing
I like that in the early years Kirk Hammett was easily distracted by people calling his name or woman flashing him that he kinda forgot where he was in the song. He got back on it fast of course, but if you listen to some of the really old live stuff. Lars wasn't the only one skipping a beat haha
“Harvester of Sorrow” from this same concert 🔥🔥🔥 Awesome reaction ♥️
The crowd is literally still riding the high from this show
"... about as metal as it gets."
I couldn't agree more! 🤘😁
My favorite live performance of any song ever.
That song was the highlight of that concert it’s always giving me enough energy to break through a brick wall!!!!!
Greatest band in history!
I was only 1 y.o, I was too young to go to this concert, but my dad was there. He told me there is a legend... Some people can't get away from parking lot yet :D
_Sorry for my English, much love from Ukraine_ 🇺🇦
Oh, Hoopsick, I know you read the whole comment section, then I want to ask you - react to "Sunset Poetry - My Reflection MV".
You don't react to Ukrainian music yet, and that's could be a good start!
Justin Bieber: Hey everyone I sold out a stadium
Metallica: Hey everyone we sold out a COUNTRY
1.6 million people. That’s not a misprint. This is what a country being freed from oppression looks like.
And sadly, it seems to start over.
we need more reactions to metallica
All of us waiting for the "DIE.....DIE......DIE" part.
this show was the first time any band got into Moscow. The Soviet Union had just fell so it was massively attended some estimates go up to 3 million because they lost count at 1.6 million
Metallica in its prime was simply a machine....a well crafted , well oiled machine....damage inc.
You should watch the ice nine kills music video for take your pick it’s all animated and brutal
You need to see Pantera perform at this same festival. The song Domination is a must.
The breakdown which shattered the UdSSR
In Rio Di Janeiro in 1994 Rod Stewart come with near 5 millions.
You resemble like a mix between M. Shadows and Colby Covington my guy.. Great reaction, Love Metallica.
can you imagine 1.6 millions creaming and shouting like that...it has to be insanely loud...probably hear it for miles
JASON!!!
For those that don't know. The song is about Passover.
🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️ \m/🔥
I have a request of a song that would maybe be of interest to you. the song is called Shapes by Coat of Arms.
Kirk (the guitarist always has a solo in every Metallica song
Orioles! Right on dude. You in Maryland? I’m in Baltimore, grew up here. O’s will suck again this yr…sadly…again
Did this Metallica 1991 Moscow concert have a bigger attendence than the original 1969 Woodstock concert?
answer: Woodstock - 400,000 (smaller area) Metallica Moscow 1991 - 1.6 mil
Metallica's music video What shocked and amazed me was it. ONE MV.
I still, after all these years listening to this performance, have no idea what James says at the very beginning of this video. Right before the laugh. No clue
To explain the show, it's size, location and dedication....there is a saying, birth, Metallica, death....that's all you need to know about Metallica fans.
Don't know if you've already seen it but maybe react to "one" by Metallica, song is super sad but heavy at the same time. Bangrrrrrr
1.6 million people
Oh honey.. let mommy show you around!! lolol
I believe AC DC was there. 1.6 million in attendance
1.6 million is a folktale
@@roverwaters3875 prove me wrong if you can
There was no official count, but about 1.6M is accepted as true.
Haha lots of people.....1.6 fucking million!!!
maybe they shouldn't have chatted die since 50 ppl died at that concert
Dude 🤦🏻♂️ ya gotta come up with a different thumbnail for your reaction videos , literally all of them look like your umm 🤔 inhaling profusely on a umm let’s just say CARROT 🤷🏻♂️ but not really a CARROT 😉 wink wink , anyways not sure you’re seeing what everyone else is seeing 🙈
Orbit Culture > Metallica.
I pulled up one song, it's over produced death metal. Didn't think that was a thing. Think the Nickleback of death metal lol
@@swcoder I'm glad you enjoyed it this much.
no snowflakes in 91
