Second ep is Two - Vessel and II(Drummer, best drummer of 2023 by Drumeo, a total genius) a few singles - Jaws, The Way That You Were, then albums, which are a trilogy. Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and Take Me Back To Eden. There is lore - Vessel had a dream about the goddess of Sleep, and everything is a token to the goddess, but it is a toxic relationship. The more you react to, the more the fans will come. As you have seen we use the phrase “worship”. The concerts are rituals, and the band does not speak to the audience. This is music on another level. Also, Vessel is often crying while singing, which is why the songs are so emotion inducing. The touring guitarist is IV, and the touring bassist is III. I hope this helps!

I am assuming its "Sleep" he is talking to, "Sleep" is an ancient Deity that promised "Vessel" (the lead singer) glory and magnificence if he spread "Sleep's" message. I have climbed down this hole for the last few weeks and I LOVE the band. I am so glad I randomly found them. I highly recommend The Summoning or Take Me Back to Eden!
It’s good to ground before and after listening to Sleep Token. They will dredge up all the feelings. The Summoning is probably their biggest track. Take me Back to Eden is epic. Alkaline is a tight rock song. Dark Signs, Granite and Aqua Regia are grooves. Blood Sport (especially the room below version) is heartbreaking. There are three excellent albums, and an offering for every mood.

Really nice reaction! This band is phenomenal. I saw them live this year and it was incredible, full of emotion, mystery and just exceptional musicianship. Their music takes you through pain, insecurity, longing, anger, desire, heartache and hope. Someone said they share feelings you’ve always had but couldn’t put into words. it’s worth it to listen to their discography (2 EP’s, some singles and 3 full length albums that are a trilogy of sorts) in order but that would be a lot of reactions! But I am here for it if you do! Mostly rock and metal. And I seriously recommend this rabbit hole. After my daughter introduced them to me I have fell headlong down the rabbit hole myself and I'm so glad I did. This band is so good, and they put on one of the best concerts (they call them rituals) I've EVER been to and that's saying something for me. I would love to see you react to The Summoning. It's great to see another channel begin to go through Sleep Token's songs. Ascensionism is brilliant isn't it? I'm glad you liked it - they're very whip-lashy aren't they? I think the only thing you can expect from them is the unexpected because you never know which way any song will go the first time you hear it. What I'd suggest - and other commenters might agree with me here - is to start right at the beginning of their music with their EPs One and Two, then there's a couple of tracks that weren't included in either their EPs or albums and a couple of cover versions. Don't forget "The Room Below" (that's fab and you might need to be ready with a tissue depending on how emotional music makes you) and then from there go on to their three albums, Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb and Take Me Back To Eden. This particular track is on their last/latest album, TMBTE (it's easier to type the linger titles as their initials). Vessel, who is the singer is talking to Sleep, Sleep is the deity vessel, II, III, IV worship through their songs. A song that really gives you more insight to her is Alkaline. I feel this song alone goes to say that she wants Vessel to take her place and he's kinda rebelling against her with it cause he doesn't wanna be like her and hence the lyrics "You're gonna watch me ascend" and "My redemption, eternal ascension, Setting me free, So I'll take what I want then leave" But before the last lyric line it does say "And I know what you want from me You want the same as me" So part of me also thinks that maybe she feels bad for trying to force him to take her spot and does actually want him to be free.

You've stumbled on to something so cool here, dude. The whole bands discography so far tells one tale of what can be interpreted in many ways. To me, it's the most abusive, traumatic relationship two people could be in, and despite one partner trying to leave and better themselves as a person, they find themselves repeating the same behavior as they did previously. There's also this cool through line where the singer becomes aware of a diety named "Sleep" and he gives into her, becoming her vessel, and working to spread worship of his diety Subscribing, hopefully you'll do this entire album, cause every song on here is a BANGER.
Man, I wish I could go back again and listen for the first time. Be prepared to have all expectations broken.. lol. I'd recommend taking time with the reactions, make sure to have the lyrics because man spits poetry along with having one of the best voices out there. You'll notice every choice seems intentional on every song and as a musician myself I deeply respect Vessel and II for what they've been able to create.
There is so much more to explore with Sleep Token. A good few are "The Summoning", "Take me Back to Eden" and "Hypnosis". Those will show you a lot about what they're about. Would love to see you react to them as well.

It's great to see another channel begin to go through Sleep Token's songs. Ascensionism is brilliant isn't it? I'm glad you liked it - they're very whip-lashy aren't they? I think the only thing you can expect from them is the unexpected because you never know which way any song will go the first time you hear it. What I'd suggest - and other commenters might agree with me here - is to start right at the beginning of their music with their EPs One and Two, then there's a couple of tracks that weren't included in either their EPs or albums and a couple of cover versions. Don't forget "The Room Below" (that's fab and you might need to be ready with a tissue depending on how emotional music makes you) and then from there go on to their three albums, Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb and Take Me Back To Eden. This particular track is on their last/latest album, TMBTE (it's easier to type the linger titles as their initials). Vessel, who is the singer is talking to Sleep, Sleep is the deity vessel, II, III, IV worship through their songs. A song that really gives you more insight to her is Alkaline. I feel this song alone goes to say that she wants Vessel to take her place and he's kinda rebelling against her with it cause he doesn't wanna be like her and hence the lyrics "You're gonna watch me ascend" and "My redemption, eternal ascension, Setting me free, So I'll take what I want then leave" But before the last lyric line it does say "And I know what you want from me
You want the same as me" So part of me also thinks that maybe she feels bad for trying to force him to take her spot and does actually want him to be free.

You've stumbled on to something so cool here, dude. The whole bands discography so far tells one tale of what can be interpreted in many ways. To me, it's the most abusive, traumatic relationship two people could be in, and despite one partner trying to leave and better themselves as a person, they find themselves repeating the same behavior as they did previously.
There's also this cool through line where the singer becomes aware of a diety named "Sleep" and he gives into her, becoming her vessel, and working to spread worship of his diety
Subscribing, hopefully you'll do this entire album, cause every song on here is a BANGER.

Man, I wish I could go back again and listen for the first time. Be prepared to have all expectations broken.. lol. I'd recommend taking time with the reactions, make sure to have the lyrics because man spits poetry along with having one of the best voices out there. You'll notice every choice seems intentional on every song and as a musician myself I deeply respect Vessel and II for what they've been able to create.
There is so much more to explore with Sleep Token. A good few are "The Summoning", "Take me Back to Eden" and "Hypnosis". Those will show you a lot about what they're about. Would love to see you react to them as well.

Recommendation....every song from sleep token but listen to them in order of release and in order on the discography. It plays out as a whole journey, and it is all amazing. Even the songs I don't listen to as much are still good.

I have 'My redemption, eternal ascension' tattooed on me. this song is core ST . Now that you had a taste, start at the beginning with the Sundowning. Then tomb and finally take me back to Eden. The albums are part of a bigger story that are simply amazing especially if you are gonna be breaking it down. The EPs are not really timeline related but HIGHLY recommended. . you will not be be disappointed my friend. Welcome. Worship .
