I can listen to Feng's talking for hours in fact I often put design cinema in the back just to get me motivated while drawing. Congratulations on the 100 milestone and thank you Master Feng for the ten years of free education you made available for all of us.

I completed an education Game Art and Design in 2008 without understanding the importance of fundamentals and without any real design portfolio. These videos have been the single greatest inspiration in discovering how much of yourself it takes to live in the concept art world. Now I've begun to receive my first design jobs, and have never been closer to becoming the artist I want to be. Thank you for sharing all of this great information, and inspiring so many of us to design!!!

Hand skills are under rated. The hand/brain connection is so important for designers and artists. You can't think an art piece into existence, you have to build it.

I am congratulating You! I started to watch your design cinema and all other stuff when it was about 30 episode and watched all i can and consume every word. Then it was my industrial and product design carreer where i applied literally many insights into how to generate ideas how to make good illustrations and to be freeminded about every kind of creative work in general. Everything i draw on paper or digitally is based on my classic academic school, childhood wishes to life and finally - on your deep understanding of industries and creative work, concept art, technics, etc. many many thanks for all you for every artist and creative up there! I was having many open eyed moments with your lessons, but i remember particular one, when domedsy i just realized - i can start a line or a dot, and do everything my mind want, experiment or stick to plan snd grow, like really to grow. Snd particularly helpful was insights about how to look into the real world, how to gsther info how to work mentally, you are true teacher, god bless all your business, Man, i wish you luck, love, money snd happiness, to you snd your family. It is something - i just remembered your works, get back to your channel after 3 years snd found that you slmost today released episode 100!

Feng I started watching your videos roughly 10 years ago and I have learned so much. You are by far the best educator and creative mind out there! You should be proud of your overgrowing passion for design and art, the desire to teach and transmit your knowledge to others. You are a treasure, a unique inspiration, a great artist, designer and most importantly an amazing human being. Keep going because what you are doing is invaluable! It inspires me to draw even more and create my best possible art and vision to share with the world. I am forever thankful. All the best!

I think that, chasing the end result might be a flaw in people's thinking that's almost universal. I think of people who might hear their favourite singer, or see artwork from a specific artist, or perhaps see someone with a great physique or a top sports character, and imagine they can achieve that level of artistry/sportsmanship in a relatively short period; not taking into account that the person they are trying to imitate took years to reach that level. I've been guilty of that with music, trying to imitate my idols at a stage in their lives where they had been playing for decades. It just didn't occur to me at the time that I was trying to achieve something that is essentially impossible, hoping to circumvent the unavoidable road to mastery. I've slowed down a lot now and have realized the importance of having your bases covered, actually, mastering them.

Thanks Feng! I've been watching you for years & I'm always happy to see a new video. Also, you're the only guy on UA-cam who talks in English so fast that I don't speed it up to 1.5x haha!
On Final Fantasy, I agree with you 100%. I loved the early games as a kid. Yoshitaka Amano is 1 of my fave artists & I think he worked mainly on 1 - 9. Now FF has gotten overly slick + anything goes aesthetic which is unappealing to me & many Westerners. I hope they return to Amano's roots. If you want to see a beautiful game with art derived from Amano's romantic aesthetic, check out Child of Light (it's by Ubisoft Montreal studio I think). It's a JRPG even kids can play but I'm grown & I love its art & music

don’t worry about slow pace of new episodes or not seeming like a “pro youtuber.” i don’t think anyone that likes your channel and gets benefit from Design Cinema is concerned about that. slowly made quality videos always beat frequent but less thorough ones. the information you’re presenting is extremely valuable and your no-frills no-bs format is a big part of what makes it so valuable and what elevates the FZD channel above the majority of quick art tutorial youtube channels. it makes your videos carry more weight.
thanks for everything you do! see you in 2029 at episode 200!
