We don't know about the UI or some of it's games. And what about the Switch 2 Pro con? I believe we haven't seen the dock for it. How will backwards compatability work? (Is it like the WiiU where the Wii menu has to be opened first before doing whatever? Or can we insert the game, and go straight in without needing the Switch 1 menu?). Also we don't know if we get EShop music, home music, and other types of music back. We don't know if they will fix the EShop lag and online lag, if Switch 1 Online games on Switch 2 have cross-compatability with Switch 1, and more.
Leaks could show the Switch 2 dock and pro-con, but as for anything that actually requires the Switch 2 to be on and played with, we will never know unless Nintendo says themselves. You could absolutely be right, but there are some features that are impossible to leak without turning it on and playing first.
@@MonkFeet10 should have perfect backwards compatibility with the original switch as it simply uses a updated version of the og switch hardware as for online performance who knows switch and Wii u and Wii have all had their questionable performance with online especially the ds and 3ds models

They need to be strong enough to stay firmly connected
Because of that, they NEED A RELEASE so they can be taken off without excess strength and without possibly breaking something.
Magnetic currents can be electrically cancelled.
It makes NO sense for a magnetic controller to have a detach.
It could be. But it could have better use. It is very big and that could make many accidents so it isnt the most probably thing

No theyre not. The release buttons on the joycons at the moment would be way easier to press and even they arent easy to accidentally press.
Your fingers will never accidentally press those buttons the way they are, if you do skill issue.
And also with the magnet mechanism a release button is definitely needed, after all those magnets would need to be really strong. Too weak and theyd come off all the time. Too strong and no release youll fucking break it.
The buttons also press in the same direction youd pull the joycon off.

if the switch 2 is as fast as the ps4(handheld) and pro(docked) maintaining the current battery life , man is it gonna sell like crazy!
It could even perform better than a PS4, it does DLSS, so it doesn't have to run a high native resolution to look high res.

It looks like there's a usb c on the top now too? Maybe this is to stop the charger getting in the way in handheld mode, or to allow the Switch to plug into more accessories when plugged into the dock.
i think itll be for accessories. like a battery pack, camera, cooling, etc.

I heard someone mention the top usb c is to attach a separate screen on top for improved gaming experience. I guess that is why the name “Switch Attach” was circulating a while back.

It does. But this thing has no color because it is a model. It will look way different at the reveal
if you're talking about this leak, 11:1 the joy-cons are rounder, and there is an extra button on the right joy-con
@@Cosmication_Abraham It's not the color that's the issue, it's the similar design and lack of new features. Literally just seems to have a similar shape and functionality as the Switch and that might make it hard for casuals to even tell it's a new console. I'm worried about a Wii U moment here (maybe a less extreme one but a noticeable one nonetheless).

I wanted the switch 2 to look somewhat different than the switch, it just looks like a copy and paste with like 2 new buttons
I just hope they got backwards compatibility and we can transfer our switch data to the new one since it isn't like the 3ds/DS where we just have the cartridges save everything and not the profile.

Convincing as it may look, I STILL, however dismiss it as BOGUS nonsense. Remember the policy: ONLY Nintendo will tell us WHEN. This may not be what this Switch successor console might look like, so the final product will probably be different than this.
I hope you're right. I always envisaged a design that has the screen slightly higher than the joycons with the shell tapered at the corners of the screen. Like a Switch but with the screen shifted up a bit. Oh and with ribbing in places for grip. Hope that makes sense.
This Switch 2 leak looks pretty intriguing to me But if this is true then hopefully that Nintendo will announce something really soon and also I hope that the kickstand will be like the Switch Oled kickstand and not like the original Switch kickstand.

the button under the home button may be a pause button or a screen record button, maybe for clips longer than 30 seconds, or it's a mic button

One thing I hope for is that the Switch 2 has backwards compatibility with switch games and it can run games that can be seen on PS4/PS5 because i would love to be able to play FF16 on the next switch
my only wishlist is for a dock with a gpu in it so the console can handle more powerful games in docked mode
While it would be cool to have more power that would make the console way more expensive at launch.

Edit: also MT/S means “ mega transfers per second” on mt is 1 million transfers and this is not to be confused with mhz which means “megahertz” which is the frequency of cycles. Each cycle has 2 transfers so the speed of the ram would be 3750 mhz. Which is more than double the speed of the current ram in the switch. (Please correct me if anyrhing was wrong)

@@SeikoKKJ bc it’s bezel is massive, it’s an lcd, the rails are huge and bulky and ugly, the joysticks are still cheap, and it’s pretty much gonna flop bc it literally looks like a switch oled but it doesn’t have an oled.

@@ruiiur2694 I’ve seen many people that are pretty happy with this, also I think people doesn’t care too much about the design they just want a more powerful Switch, and apparently this is exactly what we are getting. So I don’t think it’s going to flop, many people out there love the Switch, they just wish it was more powerful. And if this has backwards compatibility it’s going to sell A LOT because people would buy it just to play games that don’t run well in our current Switch.
I would be so disappointed if this is legit, it’s literally just the switch 😪😪😪 like this seems more like the original DS to DSI XL vibe

I love the idea of magnetic joy-cons, but the magnets BETTER HAVE magnets that don't snap off so easily, cause as much as I can see them work very well, I can also see them work very terribly.

If this is true, I'm utterly disappointed that we waited nearly 8 years for almost the exact same thing. Why is Nintendo following Sony? Thats the one thing i respected them for, doing their own thing. But twice now, they made a sequel to a console that does nothing that different, just like the PS5 and the PS5 """"""Pro"""""
you mean once? the wii u is extremely different to the wii. youre forgetting that the nes and snes are essentially the same, and so are the n64 and gamecube. literally just graphical differences. the only real feature filled consoles were the wii and ds, maybe the switch.
The Wii U has better graphics, crossplay, a gamepad (That was kinda forced upon most games) which is different. But it sold badly because it felt like it was marketed as an accessory to the Wii, which it wasn't. It was a sequel. The PS5 Pro got backlash because it is advertised as something WAY BETTER, but the biggest difference I see is the black lines on the console. And I'm worried if Nintendo does that, we will have another Wii U on our hands in terms of sales. Wii U is great, with GREAT games. Didn't stop it from not doing so well.

Probably unpopular, but I'd love a screenless option for a bit cheaper. Literally never undock my switch unless it's just to swap game cartridges. I just prefer Nintendo games to PS/Xbox content, but play at the house.

i think since there is a mic, Im thinking that the new button on the right joycon COULD actually be a mic toggle button. since a small circle with a / usually means something like that.
I've said it before, but I think the Switch 2 could have a VR component to be the ultimate hybrid console. Hear me out, that extra trigger looks like it could be a grip button. It could have a headset accessory that connects to the dock and uses joycons as controllers which are track by gyro and cameras in the headset. It wouldn't be powerful enough to compete with PSVR 2 or PCVR, but could with mobile headsets (which a good number of devs develop for and prioritize). Nintendo kinda already has dipped a toe in it. Way too soon with the virtual boy, and also with the Wii's motion controls.

It also looks like it has a USB c port on the top also. Which is great because when you're playing it on tabletop mode like I like to do a lot with family. You can actually charge it. I think on the switch one having just the USBC port on the bottom I mean I get it so we can charge while it's in the dock, but they should have designed that a little differently so you can also charge it when it's not in the dock either besides holding it in your hand

4:57 something worth noting: the leaks about a "nintendo NX" were real, as NX is the switch's codename! Much like Dolphin was the gamecube's codename, and Revolution was the Wii's codename.
