Is a united secular state too much to ask for? Nobody wants to force the jews to leave, nobody wants a muslim supremacy (Hamas gains support because it contrasts itself with the corrupt PLO, and since military resistance is popular, their support soars during times of conflict). Is it too much to ask for a democratic state that won't see a difference between a jew and an arab? Despite being presented as fact, there are many inaccuracies in this version of the foundation of the state of Israel. Inaccuracies which, of course, pose a pro-Palestine position. Please, I challenge you to post a more accurate, and historically correct version, and let's see how well this works for your campaign. I am in support neither side, but prefer that if you are going to attempt to gain support for a cause, that it is done using historically valid fact.

This video is very helpful for an easy introduction, but how could you not mention the Nakba? You say how they destroyed hundreds of Palestinian towns but not the thousands of people they massacred in the process? It wasn't just "fighting" as you say, it was an act of ethnic cleansing. And it is still ongoing. I highly recommend 1948: Creation and Catastrophe in which the settlers themselves describe what they did, alongside Palestinians and scholars on the subject. Israel & Palestine: A Very Short Introduction What would happen if you built a refuge for a persecuted people in a place where another people already lived? In the next few minutes you'll learn why this moral (quandry?) is at the root of the struggle between Israelis and Palestinians. And what you can do to help achieve a just peace for everyone in the region. First, there are a couple of things it's helpful to understand: one: Many Jews fled harsh persecution in anti-Semitic Europe, especially the Nazi Holocaust. Zionists encouraged massive immigration to historic Palestine, at that time a British colony, where Jews had an age-old connection, and where small Jewish communities had long existed among larger groups of indigenous peoples. But when the UN offered the Jewish immigrants the majority of a land for a new state called 'Israel', for the indigenous Palestinians who lived there it was a massive destruction of life. They rejected the UNs partition plan and several Arab states invaded the new state of Israel. Israeli forces (essentially?) erased over 400 Palestinian villages and towns. By the end of the fighting, Israel controlled 78% of historic Palestine, and with 3/4 of a million, Palestinians who fled or were expelled,during fighting tried to return to their homes where the new state now stood, they were permanently barred by the Israeli government. While over a hundred thousand of their relatives and neighbours who haven't left became second class citizens of the new state along with new Jewish majority. Today Palestinians refugees and their descendants number in the millions most are in the Gaza strip, the West Bank and Jordan. Many are spread throughout the world with millions still living in refugee camps, seeking to return to their homeland. To sum up, one group of refugees found a much needed home, but in the process, a new group of refugees was created. Here's the second thing to understand, Israel was founded as a Jewish state, but now ask yourself, what exactly does that mean? People have lots of ideas about what a Jewish state should look like. Some called for equality for all citizens, but what was created, in practice, was institutional discrimination against non-Jews. In other words, Israel ended up being built on a blue print of exclusion. The Israeli government wants maximum land and resources: for Jews, but not the Palestinians living there. That's why, inside Israel, Jews get special privileges including rights to land and housing that are denied to the Palestinians citizens who make up 20% of Israel's population. That's also part of why Israel has never defined it's borders, In fact, they still hold onto land, the West Bank and Gaza, that they conquered in the war in 1967. Since then, Israel has built Jewish settlements throughout (the/of) occupied West Bank building Jewish-only cities and supplying them with infrastructure like; roads and army camps, schools and even a college. Military occupations are meant to be temporary but after 40+ years, this one looks permanent; and entirely unjust. In the West Bank, Israeli Jewish settlers and Palestinians live on the same land, but must live under 2 completely separate and unequal systems of Israeli law. The Jewish settlers dominate the natural resources, including; water and agricultural land and they're backed by the Israeli army. To maintain the occupation, Israel has demolished thousands of Palestinian homes and orchards, confiscated Palestinians land, (farmed??????) captive civilian population in Gaza, and punished resistance with; raids, arrests and assassinations, all to gain maximum land while making life so difficult for Palestinians, that they will either leave, or be too afraid to resist. Palestinians have fought back. For decades, they tried to achieve national liberation through armed struggle (some groups still do). But, the majority now support popular protest instead. The deeply harmful pattern of control, repression and violence profoundly harms Palestinians living under occupation and Israelis living as occupiers. This must be broken to reach a peaceful and secure future for both peoples. Now that you understand the problem, what about the solution? what about peace talks? So far, over 2 decades of US-backed peace talks have actually made things worse! (By helping Israel continue the occupation). It's been years of talking while Israel massively expanded the Jewish settlements and literally re-drew the map. Peace talks are good, if they're real, but not when they're theatre to cover a land-grab. So now what? The current world super power, The United States, has been a terrible friend enabling Israel's destructive and self-destructive expansion onto Palestinian land by funding the Israeli military (the biggest recipient of US foreign aid in the world). But, there's another superpower that can make the difference: You. There's a movement with hundreds of thousands of people just like you across the world including; Palestinians and Israelis protesting, educating, divesting and boycotting, all to bring non-violent international pressure on Israel to stop violating human rights of Palestinians. Are you aware of the fact that only in the case of the Palestinians the refugee status is inheritable? Only in Palestine, there were originally 650.000 refugees and now more than 6 millions... All other peoples who became refugees in the history of the world took their destiny into their own hands and built new lives in their new place, including the Jewish people.

People say the Israeli-Palestinian struggle is too complex to take a position. It isn't. It's actually rather simple. This easy and accesible video gives me hope, coming from a Jewish peace group.

What's frustrating is that ignorant westerners don't realize the conflict in the Middle East is between two brothers, the Arabs/Muslims and Jews. While Jews have a sliver of land, Arabs occupy all the rest of the Middle East. And the radical islamic ones are hellbent on Israel's annihilation, because as the only true democracy in the Middle East that values human rights and liberty, they stand in the way of radical Islam/sharia law ruling, which is why they call for global jihad to subjugate the whole world to their religion.

Did I miss something or did you not mention that Jordan was occupying the Westbank and East Jerusalem for 20 years (1948-1967) and didn't allow any jew to visit the Wailing Wall? You didn't mention that Palestinians are Arabs and you are morally condemning that Israel won't accept refugees while not mentioning that the countries they belong to, ie Jordan, won't accept their own people. Their is no historical Palestine, neither. It was made up in 20th century, Jews lived in Israel for 3.000 years.

I've been researching a bit on this very same observation. It turns out that Ashkenazi Jews have 4 close DNA relatives: Italians, Palestinians, Lebanese and Syrians. Italians makes sense due to occupation of the Romans. The rest of it, it seems, supports the fact that - yes - we're cousins.

This video is incredibly biased and in many parts untrue. Israeli Arabs have more rights in Israel than they do in the Gaza strip and Palestinian Authority; they can vote, pray, and have their own media any way they want (and they do) and still remain citizens. Israel voted for peace with 3 prime ministers, Barak, Peres and Rabin, and gave up the Gaza strip and 1/3rd of the West Bank and only got violence in return for their "peace agreement"; when the Palestinians stop attacking and inciting violence against Israel they will get a state.....with Israels help....just like Israel gave the PA Gaza and a huge greenhouse and food processing businesses there (which Hamas destroyed) so they would get in the West Bank, if they kept their promises in the Oslo and Wye agreements.
So why, Donald, do Palestinian Israelis have different vehicle number plates, different roads, different laws relating to age of child arrest, house demolitions, less water allocation, permits which control their movement...............???
Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews do have the same liscense plates and water allocations etc. The Palestinian Authority has control over 70% of the Palestinians in the WestBank and Hamas is in control of the whole Gaza strip....they both get funding from Europe and middle east countries, (the PA even gets funding from the US and Canada) you should ask them what they are doing with that money.
Of course this video ignores all the various partition plans from the 1920s until 1947, which provided Arabs the majority of the land. It also ignores the Mandate for Palestine, which was only part of a large mandate system for the Middle East, after the fall of the Ottoman Empire after WWI, long before 1947, which defined Palestine as the Jewish homeland. The Mandate for Mesopotamia gave birth to Iraq's arbitrary borders, the French Mandate gave arbitary borders for the creation of Lebanon and Syria, etc. But of course, this video has no questions regarding those borders and the subsequent wars/invasions among Arab countries due to the Mandates. Nope, this video, based on its quest for "peace" (LOL) only questions the Israel borders and assumes history began in 1947-8.
If you would care to read the text of the Balfour declaration you allude to, you will see it does not support your statement that it "defined Palestine as the Jewish homeland". Some facts in this video are wrong, and probably based on some kind of an attempt to look neutral. For example, not many people lived in Israel. Jews who did live in Arab cities lived while hiding their identity as Jews, until more Jews returned to Israel (From mid East or Russia, not Europe) and they decided to regroup and re-settle away from those cities that were dense and poor. The map showing in the beginning is very inaccurate, that it's purpose it to show how some nation randomly decided to steal land. To pull this kind of a genius trick, you have to be a mastermind surrounded by other masterminds. Before the world wars, Jews lived well in Europe as the loyal citizens of the countries they have been, they would fight for their countries. Long story short: They had no reason to leave Europe. But they still did, and moved into the land of Zion (Zion = Jerusalem) joining their brothers who were lucky enough not to be exiled. This move started way before World War 2 or World War 1, and the prays for returned were prayed for over 2000 years ago, when the Jews lost their second temple.

I didn't even realize i made this comment! 2 things; Britain had control over Palestine after ww2 (or ww1, i cant remember). This means that what happened to Palestine was under direct command from Britain, and not some random tenant saying "ok it's time to kick you out now!". Secondly: You claim to not care about the history yet you say it is rightfully your land. This comment alone makes no sense, as you being rightfully entitled to a land would have had roots in history. I just wanted to say that the rightful claim from either side (jews and palestinians) is rather disputed, as you can argue for both sides. Lastly i want to agree on your statement that i could watch something that was more biased the other way around. How can this video be called 'accurate'? It is far from it! One example: trying to accuse Israel of conquering Judea and Samaria in 1967? Really? This is simply not right. Actually a coordinated attack against Israel's existence was mounted by surrounding Arab nations at this time. Why does this video fail to give this vital detail? Maybe because it is NOT accurate, and is in fact biased! Before this point there were no settlements in what you call the West Bank, although there were indigenous Jewish communities that had always been here for the last 3000 years. Israel pleaded with Jordan not to join the hostile alliance that was forming to attack, but Jordan decided it wanted to join the attack as well, confident that the united Arab forces would be victorious. Peace in that area could have been maintained if Jordan had simply not been willing to join in the hostility. What was Israel meant to do? Roll over and die? Let themselves be slaughtered by the Arabs? Israel would never have needed to take control of that strategically vital area of Judea and Samaria if Jordan (who was in control of it before, at a time when a state of Palestine could have easily been achieved but wasn't) had stayed out of the conflict. Jordan and the other nations lost a fight they started and in the process, Israel took control of land that it has held onto till this day to PREVENT a repeat of the same scenario. Okay what you fail to recognize is that you’re making a lot of assumptions and rules up on your own. Just because one nation attacks another, does not give the attacked nation the right to take over that other nation’s entire land. You seem to have just made that up as a rule, when this is not accepted in international law in any way. Second of all, you’re acting as if Palestine is to blame for not accepting the proposed partition of land divided between Israel and Palestine, when it was all Palestinian land to begin with. Imagine if some other nation attacked the US, took over half of it, and then asked us to accept peace and recognize that land as theirs. That makes literally no sense.

I am Jewish and I also live in Israel for my whole life and I just wanted to say that we won this land over wars in which Jews died I am not saying that Arabs didn't but I wanted to mention that we earned our land and all Jews at past took the risk of dying just so the next generations will enjoy living peacefully. My great grandmother and great grandfather died in the holocaust and before they did they sent my grandfather to somewhere safe on the train when he was just three years old. My other great grandmother escaped from Russia at the time on a potato cart when she was just nineteen while her all family who didn't manage to escape died. I don't know about my other great grandfather because he passed away before I was born and I don't know many details about my grandfather's story because he died from cancer when I was five. This video fails to go back to the time when the land of Israel belonged to the Jews. The Jews were driven out by the Romans back in 135. The Palestinians moved in after this and claimed the land as their own. Not all the facts have been presented in this story. Remember, the Jews have been persecuted many times throughout history in various parts of the world and they came back because they felt they had nowhere else to go. There are a bunch of historical facts left out. For one, Arabs rejected the partition plan for Palestine, and rejected any kind of partition. They didn't even wanted to negotiate any further. And as far as I have been able to read, most acts of violence in the area was started by Arabs. The Civil War from 1947 to 1948, the Arab-Israeli War, the Yom Kippur War, the First Palestinian Intafada, the Al-Aqsa Intafada, and the attacks from Hamas and Hezbollah. Hamas btw is calling for the complete annihilation of Israel. While Hamas indiscrimently fired rockets into Israel, the IDF did their best to only target infrastructure that was used by Hamas. The violence in that area of the world, almost always came from the Arabs not the Israeli's. Even in the Six-Day War Egyptian forces amassed in the Sinai peninsula, while Israel did preemptively strike Egypt, it probably wouldn't have been long until the Arab countries would have attack Israel again. And from what I understood and heard, Israel is willing to make concession after concession in order for there to be peace, while the Arab World, from the very beginning wasn't.
Your pinning the blame on the arabs even though the Isrealis also did violince. When the jews first moved into the region of Palestine/Isreal they bought lands and kicked off the palestinians and the palestinians rettaliated with violince. If you were Palestine and were being out populated by the day and then the UN comes and tries to make peace but they would take away most of your territoires even though the arabs were about 2 thirds of the population which was another reason why the arabs rejected the peace talks. The other arab states wanted the jews out as they saw isreal as a european creation and was apart of colonialism and imperialism. Most palestinians were subjecated by the Isrealis and some resorted to terrorising the Isrealis to force them out of Palestine. I could be wrong in many ways but the fact that the isrealis also have to atone for the violence they also had done to the palestinians. This is why its a heatly debated between both sides.
What is inaccurate abo this is it only talks about the rights of Palestinians lost and doesn't mention what led to it. The 20% Arab Israelis have totally equal rights on all fronts and a number indeed serve in the Knesset and as High Court judges. There is also no mention here of other massive land changes during this period - 1925-1948, when with the collapse of the Ottoman empire and the British Mandate which decided the original lines, there were many other enormous land exchanges and movements of people. Most notable is that of the Hashemites, who had controlled Mecca for 700 years, expelled from by Ibn Saud and indeed given a large area of Transjordan, ironica]ly originally designated for the Palestinian people. That land is now known as Jordan and is almost 60% Palestinian. And the winner in this land lottery, Ibn Saud, in expelling also some northern tribes, controls a land 50 times the size of Israel. But why do we not get any mention of these expulsions and movements of people today in the same way as the Palestinians. Could it be purely that these were massive Muslim-vs-Muslim land acquisitions, which then puts the lie to this issue being purely about land and human rights. If that were the case then now there would be a massive movement to return the Hashemites to Mecca, and also to give the Palestinian refugees some semblance of rights in Arab nations such as the Lebanon and Syria, where they have no rights whatsoever and are kept in refugee camps, unable to integrate into those societies or even vote. If Israel can integrate its 20% Arab population and allow them to vote and have equal rights, then why can't the surrounding Arab nations? This points strongly to the issue not being about land or human rights at all, otherwise these other issues and treatments would be focused upon equally. It starts to appear that when it is Muslims and other Arab nations guilty of land acquisition and mistreatment it's either overlooked or excused, but when it's Jews it becomes another question entirely.

Is a united secular state too much to ask for? This video is very helpful for an easy introduction, but how could you not mention the Nakba? You say how they destroyed hundreds of Palestinian towns but not the thousands of people they massacred in the process? It wasn't just "fighting" as you say, it was an act of ethnic cleansing. And it is still ongoing. I highly recommend 1948: Creation and Catastrophe in which the settlers themselves describe what they did, alongside Palestinians and scholars on the subject. Israel & Palestine: A Very Short Introduction
What would happen if you built a refuge for a persecuted people in a place where another people already lived? In the next few minutes you'll learn why this moral (quandry?) is at the root of the struggle between Israelis and Palestinians.
And what you can do to help achieve a just peace for everyone in the region. First, there are a couple of things it's helpful to understand:
one: Many Jews fled harsh persecution in anti-Semitic Europe, especially the Nazi Holocaust. Zionists encouraged massive immigration to historic Palestine, at that time a British colony, where Jews had an age-old connection, and where small Jewish communities had long existed among larger groups of indigenous peoples.
But when the UN offered the Jewish immigrants the majority of a land for a new state called 'Israel', for the indigenous Palestinians who lived there it was a massive destruction of life.
They rejected the UNs partition plan and several Arab states invaded the new state of Israel. Israeli forces (essentially?) erased over 400 Palestinian villages and towns. By the end of the fighting, Israel controlled 78% of historic Palestine, and with 3/4 of a million, Palestinians who fled or were expelled,during fighting tried to return to their homes where the new state now stood, they were permanently barred by the Israeli government. While over a hundred thousand of their relatives and neighbours who haven't left became second class citizens of the new state along with new Jewish majority.
Today Palestinians refugees and their descendants number in the millions most are in the Gaza strip, the West Bank and Jordan. Many are spread throughout the world with millions still living in refugee camps, seeking to return to their homeland. To sum up, one group of refugees found a much needed home, but in the process, a new group of refugees was created.
Here's the second thing to understand, Israel was founded as a Jewish state, but now ask yourself, what exactly does that mean?
People have lots of ideas about what a Jewish state should look like. Some called for equality for all citizens, but what was created, in practice, was institutional discrimination against non-Jews. In other words, Israel ended up being built on a blue print of exclusion.
The Israeli government wants maximum land and resources: for Jews, but not the Palestinians living there. That's why, inside Israel, Jews get special privileges including rights to land and housing that are denied to the Palestinians citizens who make up 20% of Israel's population. That's also part of why Israel has never defined it's borders, In fact, they still hold onto land, the West Bank and Gaza, that they conquered in the war in 1967.
Since then, Israel has built Jewish settlements throughout (the/of) occupied West Bank building Jewish-only cities and supplying them with infrastructure like; roads and army camps, schools and even a college.
Military occupations are meant to be temporary but after 40+ years, this one looks permanent; and entirely unjust. In the West Bank, Israeli Jewish settlers and Palestinians live on the same land, but must live under 2 completely separate and unequal systems of Israeli law.
The Jewish settlers dominate the natural resources, including; water and agricultural land and they're backed by the Israeli army. To maintain the occupation, Israel has demolished thousands of Palestinian homes and orchards, confiscated Palestinians land, (farmed??????) captive civilian population in Gaza, and punished resistance with; raids, arrests and assassinations, all to gain maximum land while making life so difficult for Palestinians, that they will either leave, or be too afraid to resist.
Palestinians have fought back. For decades, they tried to achieve national liberation through armed struggle (some groups still do). But, the majority now support popular protest instead.
The deeply harmful pattern of control, repression and violence profoundly harms Palestinians living under occupation and Israelis living as occupiers. This must be broken to reach a peaceful and secure future for both peoples.
Now that you understand the problem, what about the solution? what about peace talks? So far, over 2 decades of US-backed peace talks have actually made things worse! (By helping Israel continue the occupation). It's been years of talking while Israel massively expanded the Jewish settlements and literally re-drew the map.
Peace talks are good, if they're real, but not when they're theatre to cover a land-grab. So now what? The current world super power, The United States, has been a terrible friend enabling Israel's destructive and self-destructive expansion onto Palestinian land by funding the Israeli military (the biggest recipient of US foreign aid in the world). But, there's another superpower that can make the difference: You.
There's a movement with hundreds of thousands of people just like you across the world including; Palestinians and Israelis protesting, educating, divesting and boycotting, all to bring non-violent international pressure on Israel to stop violating human rights of Palestinians.
Throughout history, where governments have failed to push for justice, people just like you, like us, have taken the lead and won. Now it's the Palestinians turn for freedom and justice. We can pressure Israel to end the occupation and the discrimination. We want all people, Jews and Palestinians, to have equality, human rights and democracy. We can change history. Join us.

What's frustrating is that ignorant westerners don't realize the conflict in the Middle East is between two brothers, the Arabs/Muslims and Jews.

Did I miss something or did you not mention that Jordan was occupying the Westbank and East Jerusalem for 20 years (1948-1967) and didn't allow any jew to visit the Wailing Wall? You didn't mention that Palestinians are Arabs and you are morally condemning that Israel won't accept refugees while not mentioning that the countries they belong to, ie Jordan, won't accept their own people.

This video is incredibly biased and in many parts untrue. Israeli Arabs have more rights in Israel than they do in the Gaza strip and Palestinian Authority; they can vote, pray, and have their own media any way they want (and they do) and still remain citizens. Israel voted for peace with 3 prime ministers, Barak, Peres and Rabin, and gave up the Gaza strip and 1/3rd of the West Bank and only got violence in return for their "peace agreement"; when the Palestinians stop attacking and inciting violence against Israel they will get a state.....with Israels help....just like Israel gave the PA Gaza and a huge greenhouse and food processing businesses there (which Hamas destroyed) so they would get in the West Bank, if they kept their promises in the Oslo and Wye agreements.

Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews do have the same liscense plates and water allocations etc. The Palestinian Authority has control over 70% of the Palestinians in the WestBank and Hamas is in control of the whole Gaza strip....they both get funding from Europe and middle east countries, (the PA even gets funding from the US and Canada) you should ask them what they are doing with that money.

Of course this video ignores all the various partition plans from the 1920s until 1947, which provided Arabs the majority of the land. It also ignores the Mandate for Palestine, which was only part of a large mandate system for the Middle East, after the fall of the Ottoman Empire after WWI, long before 1947, which defined Palestine as the Jewish homeland. The Mandate for Mesopotamia gave birth to Iraq's arbitrary borders, the French Mandate gave arbitary borders for the creation of Lebanon and Syria, etc. But of course, this video has no questions regarding those borders and the subsequent wars/invasions among Arab countries due to the Mandates. Nope, this video, based on its quest for "peace" (LOL) only questions the Israel borders and assumes history began in 1947-8.

Some facts in this video are wrong, and probably based on some kind of an attempt to look neutral.
For example, not many people lived in Israel. Jews who did live in Arab cities lived while hiding their identity as Jews, until more Jews returned to Israel (From mid East or Russia, not Europe) and they decided to regroup and re-settle away from those cities that were dense and poor.
The map showing in the beginning is very inaccurate, that it's purpose it to show how some nation randomly decided to steal land. To pull this kind of a genius trick, you have to be a mastermind surrounded by other masterminds. Before the world wars, Jews lived well in Europe as the loyal citizens of the countries they have been, they would fight for their countries.
Long story short: They had no reason to leave Europe. But they still did, and moved into the land of Zion (Zion = Jerusalem) joining their brothers who were lucky enough not to be exiled. This move started way before World War 2 or World War 1, and the prays for returned were prayed for over 2000 years ago, when the Jews lost their second temple.
To say there weren’t many people living in Israel already is ridiculous. There were literally 750000 refugees created in one year alone after the state of Israel was created, and millions more since then.

Secondly: You claim to not care about the history yet you say it is rightfully your land. This comment alone makes no sense, as you being rightfully entitled to a land would have had roots in history. Before this point there were no settlements in what you call the West Bank, although there were indigenous Jewish communities that had always been here for the last 3000 years.
Israel pleaded with Jordan not to join the hostile alliance that was forming to attack, but Jordan decided it wanted to join the attack as well, confident that the united Arab forces would be victorious.
Peace in that area could have been maintained if Jordan had simply not been willing to join in the hostility.
What was Israel meant to do? Roll over and die? Let themselves be slaughtered by the Arabs?
Israel would never have needed to take control of that strategically vital area of Judea and Samaria if Jordan (who was in control of it before, at a time when a state of Palestine could have easily been achieved but wasn't) had stayed out of the conflict.
Jordan and the other nations lost a fight they started and in the process, Israel took control of land that it has held onto till this day to PREVENT a repeat of the same scenario.
Israel would be foolish to hand it back over until a guaranteed peace can be achieved.

WHat this entire video fails to recognize is the fact that the U.S. for example, because it was attacked by both Germany and Japan, would have been well within it's right to claim whatever territories of those nation(s) which were fighting against it as it so desired, and even still, gave back sovereignty to both nations after the war was over, because they made sure they got the message and learned not to attack a sovereign nation -- unprovoked -- such as the U.S., and they made sure of this. Israel also conceded much of it's land to the Arabs in an effort to make a deal and a compromise for peace, and it was roundly rejected.
Within a few days of the June 10, 1967 cease-fire, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Abba Eban, made his famous speech offering to negotiate the return of captured territories in exchange for three Arab concessions: diplomatic recognition of Israel; negotiations to decide on universally recognized borders and on other outstanding issues; and peace. Okay what you fail to recognize is that you’re making a lot of assumptions and rules up on your own. Just because one nation attacks another, does not give the attacked nation the right to take over that other nation’s entire land. You seem to have just made that up as a rule, when this is not accepted in international law in any way. Second of all, you’re acting as if Palestine is to blame for not accepting the proposed partition of land divided between Israel and Palestine, when it was all Palestinian land to begin with. Imagine if some other nation attacked the US, took over half of it, and then asked us to accept peace and recognize that land as theirs. That makes literally no sense.

One was about how it is used daily in Israeli/American politics to dismiss legitimate criticisms of Israel, and the other was about how Zionism used latent guilt of Western nations from the holocaust to help create a Jewish state. I am Jewish and I also live in Israel for my whole life and I just wanted to say that we won this land over wars in which Jews died I am not saying that Arabs didn't but I wanted to mention that we earned our land and all Jews at past took the risk of dying just so the next generations will enjoy living peacefully. My great grandmother and great grandfather died in the holocaust and before they did they sent my grandfather to somewhere safe on the train when he was just three years old. My other great grandmother escaped from Russia at the time on a potato cart when she was just nineteen while her all family who didn't manage to escape died. I don't know about my other great grandfather because he passed away before I was born and I don't know many details about my grandfather's story because he died from cancer when I was five. So yeah I went a bit off ah anyway you get my point, I will stay on this land and so will the next generations to come.

1. The west bank was a Jordanian land, not a Palestinian, Israel win this land in a war, signed a peace agreement with Jordan so they handed this area to Israel.
2. Gaza strip was an Egyptian territory, that been given to Israel at 1982, in the peace agreement,
3. The Palestinian start terrorizing Israel far before the so called occupation, the first terror attack happened in 1954, while the war with Jordan when the west bank conquered happened in 1967.
The real problem with the Palestinians is that they are Muslims radicals that try to kill all the infidels this means also the creators of this movie.
The Palestinians are Sunni's and the are close to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) that tool over all Syria and Iraq.

in 1948-1950, 650,000 jews were expelled from the arab countries -forced to move to israel, no one is talking about that. they are refugees as well.

This video fails to go back to the time when the land of Israel belonged to the Jews. The Jews were driven out by the Romans back in 135. The Palestinians moved in after this and claimed the land as their own. Not all the facts have been presented in this story.
Remember, the Jews have been persecuted many times throughout history in various parts of the world and they came back because they felt they had nowhere else to go.

A nationality is a group of people, connected either by ideology (USA) or by birth, history, and culture (Germany) that have aspirations of politically ruling and owning a country. Judaism fits all of this. Since it's beginning it has strived to get to Israel. Judaism is connected by birth (you're Jewish if your mom is Jewish), history(the old testament is basically that) and culture (I think this one is pretty obvious). Thus Judaism is a nationality.

There are a bunch of historical facts left out. For one, Arabs rejected the partition plan for Palestine, and rejected any kind of partition. They didn't even wanted to negotiate any further. And as far as I have been able to read, most acts of violence in the area was started by Arabs. The Civil War from 1947 to 1948, the Arab-Israeli War, the Yom Kippur War, the First Palestinian Intafada, the Al-Aqsa Intafada, and the attacks from Hamas and Hezbollah. Hamas btw is calling for the complete annihilation of Israel. While Hamas indiscrimently fired rockets into Israel, the IDF did their best to only target infrastructure that was used by Hamas.
The violence in that area of the world, almost always came from the Arabs not the Israeli's. Even in the Six-Day War Egyptian forces amassed in the Sinai peninsula, while Israel did preemptively strike Egypt, it probably wouldn't have been long until the Arab countries would have attack Israel again. And from what I understood and heard, Israel is willing to make concession after concession in order for there to be peace, while the Arab World, from the very beginning wasn't.
Your pinning the blame on the arabs even though the Isrealis also did violince. When the jews first moved into the region of Palestine/Isreal they bought lands and kicked off the palestinians and the palestinians rettaliated with violince. If you were Palestine and were being out populated by the day and then the UN comes and tries to make peace but they would take away most of your territoires even though the arabs were about 2 thirds of the population which was another reason why the arabs rejected the peace talks. The other arab states wanted the jews out as they saw isreal as a european creation and was apart of colonialism and imperialism. Most palestinians were subjecated by the Isrealis and some resorted to terrorising the Isrealis to force them out of Palestine. I could be wrong in many ways but the fact that the isrealis also have to atone for the violence they also had done to the palestinians. This is why its a heatly debated between both sides.
What is inaccurate abo this is it only talks about the rights of Palestinians lost and doesn't mention what led to it. The 20% Arab Israelis have totally equal rights on all fronts and a number indeed serve in the Knesset and as High Court judges. There is also no mention here of other massive land changes during this period - 1925-1948, when with the collapse of the Ottoman empire and the British Mandate which decided the original lines, there were many other enormous land exchanges and movements of people.
Most notable is that of the Hashemites, who had controlled Mecca for 700 years, expelled from by Ibn Saud and indeed given a large area of Transjordan, ironica]ly originally designated for the Palestinian people. That land is now known as Jordan and is almost 60% Palestinian. And the winner in this land lottery, Ibn Saud, in expelling also some northern tribes, controls a land 50 times the size of Israel. But why do we not get any mention of these expulsions and movements of people today in the same way as the Palestinians. Could it be purely that these were massive Muslim-vs-Muslim land acquisitions, which then puts the lie to this issue being purely about land and human rights.
If that were the case then now there would be a massive movement to return the Hashemites to Mecca, and also to give the Palestinian refugees some semblance of rights in Arab nations such as the Lebanon and Syria, where they have no rights whatsoever and are kept in refugee camps, unable to integrate into those societies or even vote. If Israel can integrate its 20% Arab population and allow them to vote and have equal rights, then why can't the surrounding Arab nations? This points strongly to the issue not being about land or human rights at all, otherwise these other issues and treatments would be focused upon equally.
It starts to appear that when it is Muslims and other Arab nations guilty of land acquisition and mistreatment it's either overlooked or excused, but when it's Jews it becomes another question entirely.
