Hello! I have the same problem with my 1995 90hp. Thanks for the tip. Greetings from the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. 😀

I have the same 94 90HP Mariner. Bought it new. Looks like that is the original oil tank. Mine was replaced early on due to a recall.

oh nice!...yea I bought this used. What a mess it made on its maiden voyage home. I was like wtf!...the guy I bought it off of was super meticulous. Thank goodness it was an easy fix. Cheers

How thick actually was the rubber you used for the new gasket? I may have missed that explanation.

probably like a 1/16th thick...I'm sure I show it in the video. Cheers

I have a 75hp 2 stroke mariner. I noticed oil leaking out from one of the holes that suck in water? I left motor tilted overnight.

I got the same year motor only mine is 75hp. Same problem with the oil leak. Now my motor keeps blowing out white smoke. I have no idea what's going on with it.

White smoke usually could mean steam. Water in fuel or your leaking water in somehow possibly.

Temporary fix my friend. We can come up with something better than a zap strap.

Haha yes we can. At least it’s a cheap and easy way to fix it. Your clamp idea I like as well just for the average joe this is easier.
