+A Ciraco Honest to God, after that last two assists in the #1 and #2 spots, I was simply left saying that, "What the fuck?", and scrolled down to the comments just to see if anyone else was left saying that, "What the fuck?"
THE GOAT PASSER. Top 5-10 PG of all time. Don't care about the ring argument. He's clutch, efficient, selfless, total team player, effortless passes, high bball iq.
Based on what? Sure the newer generation of point guards seems to only care about scoring because that's what gets attention or their team may need them to be scorers first but Curry, Irving, Wall, Rondo, Lawson, Teague, Westbrook, Rubio, Lillard and many more are all gifted and willing passers.
Anthony Lol at you listing Teague, Lillard and esspecially Mr. BallHog Kyrie Irving, I'll let Westbrook pass because for as of late he has been a nice two way PG for the past somewhat 2 seasons but he still hogs the ball but other then that i cant believe you listed Irving lmao do you even watch the NBA?
Its24x i agree with you somewhat, but steph curry is a young steve nash. westbrook, lillard, irving etc. all those guys prefer to score but theres still some guys who'd rather see their teammates score like chris paul and steph
He needed more of a Kevin Garnett/Tim Duncan than Kobe though. Stoudemire despite his super star performance with the Suns, was no rebounder or defender.
How the fuck does he get so much torque and power into his weird ass passes dude. And how the fuck is it that accurate especially if he's not looking, like jeez man
steve & amare were one of the best duo's to watch, sad how their career's are ending.steve with age and amare with injury. steve will always be my fav player of all time.
This is like my 100th time watching this vid. I know you wont ever see this but still Thank you Nash. Thank you for the fun and amazing moments that you shared with us. You will forever be my #1 favorite.
When I did Passes like this, I got bench. Coach said I was wild and nobody knows when I'm passing which is why they drop some many passes. This is why I loved Nash, he made it work.
Iniesta never was known for shooting though guys. For somebody who shot 50 40 90 for 3 seasons I'd say this man is more like a Ronaldino with a longer prime and a little less flair.
Such an incredible player. Not very athletic, or strong, or tall, but has the most unbelievable skill and talent and literally made the suns competitors by himself.
You can have the Westbrooks, the Kyries and the Roses, but I will always look at Steve Nash as the best pure point guard in the NBA. It doesn't matter how old he is, Nash will always be my personal favourite. - Heat Fan
He may not be considered the best point guard of all time (at least I consider him the best and my favorite player) but no one can deny that he is the most artistic and unique passer of all time. His assist are beyond awesome
First time I ever saw him play or heard of him, I asked my boyfriend "who is that little guy? He's amazing". But you're right, he's only "little" in comparison to the 6'9" behemoths.
Why is it point guards like nash and Stockton were never able to win atleast one championship? (I know nash is still playing but very unlikely the lakers will make it to the finals.)
BasketballStud99 Nash - a combo of 2 things. 1 - poor defense. 2- the other superstar on the team was also a poor defender. You can win a title with a top guy who is a lousy defender, but not if BOTH of your top 2 guys are lousy defenders (the lone exception - the 1988 Lakers) . Stockton - a combo of 3 things. 1 - Jordan/Pippen dominant at the same time. 2- Karl Malone sucked in crunch time. 3- Stockton was good to great for a long time, but never *dominant* ... he was never the clear-cut top PG in the league for a season and was never a serious MVP contended.
***** False , he was dominant , he had the most steals of any nba player . Jordan , Pip , and Dennis were the best dio plus Phil Jackson as the coach . Jordan and the Bulls ruined franchises , the knicks , suns , jazz , pacers , and other from getting a ring.
My favorite basketball player ever Steve Nash, thu first time I heard about Steve Nash I didn't know he played soccer and he skateboarded to I don't know now what he does for fun but he's a great one.
Here are the teams that circulates the Finals in West Conference since 1999 1.) Lakers (7) 2.) Spurs (6) 3.) Mavs (2) ...OKC made it one time. The combination of Steve Nash and Stoudemire is one of the highlights of his Phoenix Suns years but deep inside me, he shouldn't have left Dallas, I hope Cuban regrets that (whoever's fault is it). Dirk Nowitzki reached the Finals 2 times and won 1-1 and continue to compete in the West conference while Nash never reached the Finals but continues to bring the Suns as a contender in the tough West Conf during his stay. Just imagine if he stayed in Dallas, Nash and Nowitzki could have won atleast 2 championships (or more) and a multiple Finals appearance. Dallas didn't have a great point guard when Nash left (Except Kidd who came after his prime but still good.) Cuban is a great owner and have done a great job with the Mavs but I think taking out Nash and not keeping his 2011 champioship team is a mistake, Tyson Chandler really compliment Dirks playing style. I think he knows the mistake since he's bringing back T. Chandler this 2014-2015 season and he did a great job at signing Chandler Parsons. Parsons is a really good all-around player who has a potential to be an All-Star and great recruiter, he did a great job recruiting D. Howard at Houston. Now Howard is stuck in Houston since they took out Jeremy Lin and Parsons.
Wow bringing back some those MVP passes the suns were a real show entertaining high paced basketball sweet dishes, alley oop dunks 3 pointers all over the place & they were definitely responsible for speeding up the league over the years you've seen a lot of small ball & that was there thing It was Steve Nash that made teams realize how important the point guard position was in the modern day era opening the doors for the point guards of the future to be drafted higher than they usually were WOW
10,000 Assists... Video is great... I could watch these highlights for hours... Greatest Canadian Basketball man since Dr James Naismith. To be that small and be MVP twice is crazy! The best PG ever! I still watch all his basketball videos and I'm a GIRL... Thanks for the video!!!
this top 10 didn't do him justice. At least two of these passes are basically handoffs like the commentator said, doesn't take much skill to do that. He's had many assists more impressive than that.
Just to get this out there, soccer does help you in basketball. Because in soccer you pass the ball to the gaps in the defense then it is the other players job to get the ball. Soccer gives you the ability to see these gaps. As a basketball player, it is easier to pass the ball since you are using your hands. That is why Nash is such a great passer
Thank you Steve Nash for all the memories. Ring or no ring, HOF for sure.
It is so sad to see him retire.
Dime Yes it is very sad but what team do you think he would play for now?
Minecraft Guy1974 I wouldn't care. I would just want to see him play.
2 time mvp is better than a ring imo
Sure is
Magic Johnson dishes out assists that make you say "Wow"
Steve Nash dishes out assists that make you say "WTF?!"
Everytime!
+A Ciraco Honest to God, after that last two assists in the #1 and #2 spots, I was simply left saying that, "What the fuck?", and scrolled down to the comments just to see if anyone else was left saying that, "What the fuck?"
Lmao hell yeah.
Look up Magic Johnson Magic Man on ytube. You'll say WTF a few times.
A Ciraco steve nash and jason Williams every time
Now this is a true point guard, making everybody better on and off the court
Fact
True true and true....
@MUFC oh shut up
That's the definition of a point guard for me
@MUFC don't care, soccer is boring... Nba for me
These passes are amazing no doubt, but the GENIUS of Nash was the way he got defenders to run into their own teammates as screens.
His assists are like magic tricks, after you you see it you need a moment to realize what happened.
I don't need a moment, I need slo-mo two or three times to see it.
He and the white chocolate have the fastest and original thinking while pleying. Their passes are incredible!
very sad that this man never won a ring
Man, with Nash being hurt so much the past 3 years you almost forget how awesome of a passer he is. Respect!
Nash being retired for years now makes you forget how awesome of a passer he is
@@truehistory8440 lol
I had to wait until they showed the highlight to see what actually happened
One of the most enjoyable highlight reels by a player ever
We will miss you Steve Nash.

HEY
Illustrious......haha
Chris Gautier Two MVPs, 8 times All Star, 4 times member of the 50-40-90 club, not bad ;)
Great
Damn I wish that he'd have got a ring.
probably we will never see that guy play in a nba game again, i will miss you steve...
my tears are stained with pillows steve!
Peter Phinney what?
It's official now. He's retired
NBANewGeneration why would he play in the nba again? or are you trying to say that we will never see a player like him again?
Well now you have Trae Young. He’s basically the new Steve Nash
THE GOAT PASSER. Top 5-10 PG of all time. Don't care about the ring argument. He's clutch, efficient, selfless, total team player, effortless passes, high bball iq.

Nash + staudemire. One of the most under appreciated duos in NBA history. Fr that pick n roll was unstoppable
Happy Birthday Steve Nash! You'll always be my favorite point guard and Suns player.
You will never see this type of basketball again. All of the good young pgs have fell in love with scoring instead of distributing.
Its24x Thats just false
Anthony no its true
Based on what? Sure the newer generation of point guards seems to only care about scoring because that's what gets attention or their team may need them to be scorers first but Curry, Irving, Wall, Rondo, Lawson, Teague, Westbrook, Rubio, Lillard and many more are all gifted and willing passers.

This guy is just pure talent and there will only be one like him ever in existence
magic johnson and larry bird had superior passing ability imo but nash is amazing
It's just sad to see him go without a ring. If only Nash was paired with somebody like Kobe in their primes. Coulda been so much more.
would've been nearly unstoppable...
He needed more of a Kevin Garnett/Tim Duncan than Kobe though. Stoudemire despite his super star performance with the Suns, was no rebounder or defender.
Sarver screwed the team so bad.
number 3 was the best assist ive ever seen
I thought 10 was
yeah. he parted the defense with that move thomas didnt have to do shit. they got froze so badly a flamethrower wouldnt thaw them out
do you know Jason Williams ?
Yea 3 and 4 are the smart killers
who is number one ?
How the fuck does he get so much torque and power into his weird ass passes dude. And how the fuck is it that accurate especially if he's not looking, like jeez man
I do miss watching the Spurs v. Suns rivalry in the Playoffs... Fun times.

I'm a Heat fan but I've always been a fan of Nash. I wish he could win a championship, he's one of the hardest working players out there.
Reminiscing with my favorite player in history. Great memories growing up watching Steve Nash play. Miss those days hard
Nash arguably had one of the greatest 2-3 year stretch a point guard has ever had. boy he was fun to watch
Nash is making stoudemire look good :D
Sweetluck he was good!
I just love that #3 pass. So fine, so smooth.
The #3 is really should be number 1. That setup was beautiful and made it look so easy.
This dude had anything BUT tunnel vision.
Steve Nash - the only player in NBA history who could destroy two separate defenses every time he stepped on the floor.
Yes, cause I pick up the ball with my hands and pass it all the time when I play soccer
lol.
Dennis Urizar they were talking about the step overs he did
LMAO 😂
It was always very nice to see Nash play one of my favorites , thanks 4 the great memories!
Thank you Steve! You were my inspiration playing basketball! One of the greatest that ever played the game
On that last one Zo said "Gimme that shit!!!"
Nash be like, "Go get it son!!!" Hahaha
Nash and Stoudemire had an amazing chemistry
If Nash came to the knicks and carmelo got traded, he and Amare would dominate again
Carmelo is a ballhog. I really hate that guy.
In 2021, I'm sure Nash will get his Championship
Nash is coach of nets and nets lost to bucks in game 7 lol
no wonder Nash is one of the best athletes in Canada ..great player with great ability of assist and shot accuracy
Nash was a pretty good passer, I wouldn't exactly say hes a pass first player though. More of a dunker in my opinion.
Lame
Nash has always been my favorite point guard of all time. Love it when he was at the suns. This guy can definitely turn nothing into something.
His play is absolutely a gorgeous masterpiece, smooth and natural, looks so mild but also so dangerous.
This is like my 100th time watching this vid. I know you wont ever see this but still Thank you Nash. Thank you for the fun and amazing moments that you shared with us. You will forever be my #1 favorite.

MY all time favorite Point Guard. hell of a career
2:07 this move is prettiest and smoothest pass I’ve ever seen
This is the best top 10 I've watched. I just loved every bit of it.
Must have been so fun to play with him
If you know football (soccer if your american) he's the iniesta of basketball
Lol that's actually true
Iniesta or Ozil 😂
Rusdy Razak Iniesta all the way. Man was magnificent in his prime
DOZE CRUDE ozil I think
Iniesta never was known for shooting though guys. For somebody who shot 50 40 90 for 3 seasons I'd say this man is more like a Ronaldino with a longer prime and a little less flair.
such phenomenal timing, creativity, and precision.
I love how he just casually dribbles the ball down low, in no hurry to make his moves
People say "can you imagine if Nash played defense like Stockton"? I say, "can you imagine if Stockton could shoot like Nash"?
Stockton can shoot.
As a suns fan this makes me miss the glory days god damn
until now he's still my favorite player! Miss him in Phoenix
Such an incredible player. Not very athletic, or strong, or tall, but has the most unbelievable skill and talent and literally made the suns competitors by himself.
If you know about football, Alex Del Piero is his idol. No kidding. Alex used to go to see the suns and he always wore a Nash jersey withe No. 10.
You mean Alessandro Del Piero?
He should be a guest player for the Globetrotters.
How I wish we had acquired him when he was still playing like this. Happy 40th, one of the purest PG and shooter this game has ever seen.
Growing up a point guard he was always my idol. Much love steve nash!
#2 was sick. Damn.

Why is it point guards like nash and Stockton were never able to win atleast one championship? (I know nash is still playing but very unlikely the lakers will make it to the finals.)
well to put it simply there is always one very dominant player who can do it all and is surrounded by pretty good players. i.e. Jordan or Kobe.
austin wright I thought of that too after I commented. Still woulda like to seen both get one.
Rondo won one, but he had a well-rounded teammate in Pierce, one of the best forwards of all time in KG, and a sharp shooter Ray Allen.

I admire Steve Nash for his basketball IQ. Just amazing

maybe cause the ball was rolling around? idk
