@@alessiofe no it is cause he made the others better around and oeganized game and this is amazing but not well captured if you don't watch the full game. Not with highlights or stats.
Perfect shooting, perfect passing, perfect dribbling, perfect court vision, perfect footwork. In short, children should be taught how to play basketball by watching Steve Nash tapes!
This guy played by his own rhythms and beats, never troubling himself with other players' styles and signatures or timing his rhythm to theirs. In effect he acquired a type of body balance (probably through his football background) that is not seen on most players (except maybe for Manu, who may have also played football). He looked and played in a fancy way, but the truth is that he was a realist with regards to his physical attributes. He knew where/when/what situation he can go faster than everyone else while maintaining balance/composure/levity. He may have patterned his style after somebody else, but he played by his own bodily rhythm instead of being chained around to the rhythms of most other players. I doubt if there are any players in this generation who think like him.
Very very good point~ Actually Nash runs not 1st class fast player in running, but he has his onw Nash-Rhythm which makes a feint - seems slow but fast!!!
The sun's also lost that game because Steve couldnt make his nose stop bleeding so the refs didn't allow him on the court even though he wanted to still play
+Sir Eddie isnt the one you talking about that 2007 matchup with SA ? i think the game he poppped his nose back in place was around 2009, im not sure tho
Imagine the intense pressure you get when Nash passes you the ball. It just seems like a waste of effort for Nash to elegantly swoop himself down the court with a beautiful pass only for you to miss the shot.
Best passer in nba history! This guy had the ball in his hands all the time but barely made TO's! He was very fun to watch how he ran the whole offensive side. One of the GOATS
Could've won in 2007, but the NBA screwed them with amare suspension. Possiby wouldve won with shaq, Also wouldve got to the finals in 2013 with kobe, gasol and dwight if they stayed healthy and chemistry came together
Always looked like he was able to score by himself but preferred to share the ball. I remember some games when trusting his teammates didn't payoff and I was like ' man he deserves so many rings already'. As Spurs fan, I always thought of him like the perfect fit back on those days. Making back to back passes with Manu haha. (Nothing against TP of course)
MY FAVORITE PLAYER OF ALL TIME.. He MADE me pick up a basketball and start playing the year he came back to Phoenix in 2004 and I’ve loved it ever since 🏀
One of the few players who literally seems to count his steps to insure he doesn't travel. He jumps off his second plant and then STILL makes plays BETTER than people nowadays who travel and don't get called for doing so.
Nash is the only player I've seen that had the vision and timing to simply leave his dribble, as a drop off to another player. Those passes are beautiful.
Hey NBA, Please make a reel showcasing Mike D'Antoni's 7 second offence so I can enjoy another Steve Nash fast-break montage that's 90% lobs to Amare Stoudamire? This is a formula that can not miss.
You evidently are from a non-english speaking country because you need a dictionary discover what the word awesome means, because awesome when he applies to Steve Nash means someone that never even got to a Western conference final, let alone an NBA finals let alone winning a championship, oh yeah that's awesome for sure hahaha!!!!!!! see how ridiculous you look yuck yuck!!!! yuck shameful comment don't ever comment on basketball again do you hear me? And by the way take a English remedial course okay duh
You know, he had the true leader spirit on board. When you fought with him, he would make every effort to get you a chance to join in the offence, if you could, then he delivered, if you wanted, then he delivered, just unselfishly and precisely. But when the whole team needed him stand out for victory, he would and he could and he did.
Nash was so hood bc he was always played well and was professional and just fun yo watch I remember watching him drop 48 against Dallas one of my favorite memories from when I was a kid
I used to play the Season with NBA Live with the mavs bc he was my favorite player. I would win MVP with him and laugh about how that is nice, but never gonna happen. Then he won 2.
I still have no idea how people exclude Nash from the best handles debate. Steph, Kyrie and AI are all great but the things this guy used to do on a court haven't been done since.
Feeling the pressure of being the shooter after Steve Nash' flashy pass to you and the whole crowd expecting a bucket lmaoo i cant be the receiver of those passes
What a player! He won back to back MVP’s for a reason. The 7 second Suns offense was something to behold. The only offense more entertaining than that was the Showtime Lakers (yes, I’m that old 😂). I feel sorry for all you young bucks who missed the 80’s and 90’s.
One of the most skilled players who ever played
Stephen A Smith so true, top 25 all time greats
Stephen A Smith I completely agree
Greatest offensive pg of all time
Yes, agreed. Loved watching this guy play.

It is sad that NBA fans have short memories. People like Nash are forgotten too soon.
Cause he's white
Back to back MVP’s. He shouldn’t ever be forgotten
I coudnt forget him
Nah, he will never be forgotten. Real basketball fans know this guy is a legend! He made his mark in the nba.
@@alessiofe no it is cause he made the others better around and oeganized game and this is amazing but not well captured if you don't watch the full game. Not with highlights or stats.
3:55 An ankle breaker and a behind-the-back pass at the same time? That's just not fair, man...
dripping in sauce
damn i know you posted that comment two years ago but wtf i needed to pause the video and stand up after that, that was just nasty man
@@gut9941I know you replied 3 years ago but man I just had to do the same. How does he have that much mastery of the game.
I’m a laker fan but Nash was so entertaining to watch . He made everyone around him better .
Like Messi

Silky, smooth, astonishing player. One of my all-time favs
that last clip... that layup... so smooth and that it art..
Damn I wish nash won a least one ring but two mvps would do, Nash was a unbelievable great passer as a PG plain and simple
Steve Nash. Deserve a Ring. He bleed & sweat" on the Court. He fought n fought' for one. 🏀
it's hard to go against the SPURS in their prime.. even the prime HEAT lost to them and they were already has beens during that time
Best Canadian ever....Steve Nash is one of the GOAT’s
Ahh sure But first he was and is Soutky AFRIKKKAN...🤡😆
Nash is South African.

Nice comment. I think Steph plays in his own rhythm as well.
Insightful
Luka Doncic

Yep.
I could just replace “Steve Nash” with “Luka Doncic” in my post, and it is just as applicable.
🙂👍🏼
He’s one of my favorite point guards of all time he was able to shoot, finish, had the handles, and was a great leader
Nash is a passer and scorer at same time
only reason he wasnt an elite scorer was his athleticism

What a player. Watched him play an exhibition tennis doubles match last night. He's a damn good tennis player too, no surprise with his coordination.

One of the most fun players to watch. I love his game and personality. The guy has that face you can trust😅. Wish he would have a ring!
Some get loud "whoa" for their dunks, but it is so rare to hear that on a good passer. Only Nash did it consistently

one of Steph Curry's biggest inspiration as you can totally see! What a great Point Guard he was

One of the only players to get there whole team contracts. Well deserved 2 mvp's
90's basketball was the most epic time to be alive bar none

Pure fundamentals and court vision. A basketball wizard you might say.

His wrap-around pass to Amare in semi-conference finals against the Spurs should have been on the list
Steve nash assists are miracle

4:10 the moment where Curry realized he needed to learn Nash's moves to become like him.
Shaq said Nash didn’t deserve MVP. Shaq couldn’t dribble, shoot, pass, or run.
