This guy played by his own rhythms and beats, never troubling himself with other players' styles and signatures or timing his rhythm to theirs.
In effect he acquired a type of body balance (probably through his football background) that is not seen on most players (except maybe for Manu, who may have also played football).
He looked and played in a fancy way, but the truth is that he was a realist with regards to his physical attributes.
He knew where/when/what situation he can go faster than everyone else while maintaining balance/composure/levity.
He may have patterned his style after somebody else, but he played by his own bodily rhythm instead of being chained around to the rhythms of most other players.
I doubt if there are any players in this generation who think like him.

Steve Nash was the original Steph Curry/Trae Young. Lot of his plays looked flashy but were actually cerebral and out of necessity. He wasn’t flashy just to be flashy but was always fun to watch. Deadly shooter with deep range and underrated handles as well as scorer around the rim. Could’ve easily averaged 20 a game if he wanted to.

The NBA is really missing a player like Nash... You get flashes of his passing brilliance from LeBron, Harden, Curry, Rondo or Simmons but Nash was a walking highlight when it comes to assists.
