J-Will and his energy will always be one of the highlights of my time in Sac. I watch Curry today and I see J-Will’s influence. There are many that try, but few, even among the greats, could take it to his level of handles.
Gary Thompson yeah instead he was facing guys like Gary Payton, Shaq, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone,Allen Iverson and David Robinson. You sound ignorant right now idiot
I remember when he first came to the league he was appointment television. He would have at least 5 to 7 dazzling plays a game. I remember when they got rid of him for Bibby I believe and he went to Memphis and really cut down on the flashy plays and became a solid point guard. He then came to my team the Miami Heat and really blossomed, Many people don't remember but that back court of him and Wade was statistically one of the best in NBA history for efficiency.
He was traded to Memphis for Mike Bibby because they believe that Jason Williams was not the one who would bring them to the NBA Finals. Well everything worked out. Jason WIlliams has a championship ring for the Heat along with Gary Payton and Antoine Walker. What an irony it was for Mike Bibby.
I can give you CP3 during allstar games or Curry when the warriors are really ahead in a game. But even then, I don't believe either has tried anything close to #2. I'm not sure why you even included Westbrook or Drose in your list because while they are good players they're not so much known for their passing skills. Irving and Lebron have their moments with the pass, but they make the simple pass; efficient, effective, but still nothing like what Jason used to do on a consistent bases.
Nnamdi Martian meh, only paul and curry do those kinds of flashy passes.the best westbrook pass i've seen was an idiotic-looking no-look pass.derrick rose and irving arent really known for such passing.lebron, as pointed above, make simple passes.
Everyone's too scared to be outside the box, besides as much as you guys say you love it. Majority people would criticize the hell out of anyone trying this stuff today, he'll white chocolate used to get a lot of bad press. People hate anything outside the norm or what they don't understand.
It makes me upset that when people talk about some of the best PGs/ballhandlers, this guy's name isn't brought up. Jason "White Chocolate" Williams was one of the reasons I was proud to be a Sacramento Kings fan in the late 1990s/earlier 2000s. This guy should be in the top 10, if not the top 5, for best ball handlers and passers.
He did it with such refinement & conviction.. wouldn't they have said the same thing about pete marivich if street ball was a thing in the 60s,70s? His brilliant "end-all" was the execution. You rarely saw him throw a behind the back pass into the stands.
basketball is entertainment thats why its better to watch NBA 90's and 2000's where era of great player has born compare now where drama is included and money of course..this man has a talent of Kyrie dribbling, Curry's shooting and i cant mention someone on New Era of NBA can pass like him
I agree, players now have already begun their passing motion before looking away. Jason Williams will be looking one way and then pass in the opposite direction WITHOUT moving his head.
Imagine how good Jason Williams could've been if he wasn't traded to Memphis. If he stayed with them through 2002, he could've been the missing piece of the puzzle to get them past the Lakers.
I didn't like it at the time but Bibby really was better for that team and more consistent. If there was a 10 worst plays of Jason Williams countdown it would look pretty brutal.
Sergio_Zavaleta Streetball guys always look a lot more effective on highlights than they were. He was a good player, buy wasn't very efficient. His best seasons, he was only averaging 5-6 assists a game and about 12 points. And that's playing 32-33 minutes a game. So he was a flashy passer, but not actually a great passer.
People don't talk about him, because for every play like the ones in the video you can find 100 of him completely fucking up. He was a very unimpressive player.
AriHiroki Peter Griffin Yeah, the best Kings team was 2001-02 after trading Williams for Bibby in the 2001 offseason. I live in Sacramento and from what I recall JW had a history of disappearing in the postseason early in his career.
That elbow pass is absolutely ridiculous this guy is something else
He is the only one who did a pass like that. It would be awesome if Jason got an assist from his elbow pass
No one tried to do afterwards...explains the genius of it
He did it again back in 2012, this time he got an assist because of Pippen. m.ua-cam.com/video/YZ-AQsceYAs/v-deo.html
YT Anonymity but the guy got fouled so they earned points from that pass regardless, if he made the ft that is.
And he aimed without looking with that elbow. That's some crazy ninja shit
The elbow pass is honestly one of the greatest plays in NBA history. So smooth with it
the best part is that it's barely noticed the other guy didn't score.
It really ain’t. The play isn’t significant to anything. It’s an all star game

Ben Force' He's not calling him black, he saying almost "Thats my guy"
White. Chocolate.
This guy should have been as famous as anyone in the NBA. Raw talent.
Harmed in the making of this video: John Stockton, Steve Nash, Iverson, Reggie Miller, Gary Payton. He was doing this against greats
Don't forget Dirk going for his fake while coming with the help.
Phillip F didnt take no prisoners, killed them all, the end
?、あp.a'う」」」
He split Coach Hornacek and Stockton with that move @ #9
One of the most exciting and underrated points in NBA history. Phenomenal passer of the ball.
One of my faves. Pure magic this guy was 💪🏻😤
Dude's passing skills are phenomenal!
+nomibe2911 When he was on the Heat he had to years where he was statistically the most efficient point guard since John Stockton in his prime.
AI and Williams definitely brought a new dynamic to the game during their careers, a more free form than conventional style. Love it.
I miss him
3:02 the glove's smile sums it up :D
That ELBOW pass! DOPE!
No one even dares to attempt something like this anymore
Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose
I can give you CP3 during allstar games or Curry when the warriors are really ahead in a game. But even then, I don't believe either has tried anything close to #2. I'm not sure why you even included Westbrook or Drose in your list because while they are good players they're not so much known for their passing skills. Irving and Lebron have their moments with the pass, but they make the simple pass; efficient, effective, but still nothing like what Jason used to do on a consistent bases.
eatcheesekobe DRose did have an insane mid air fake pass tho, but I still agree with you.
See the smile on Payton's face..precious!
The Kings is awesome at that time, J. Williams, Webber, Christie , Stojakovic, Divac. I miss the NBA at that time too.
Tmac, VC, The Answer and Kobe at their best... Daaamn, golden ages!
Aaand today there's lebron.
I miss this NBA. Grown man basketball, the hard foul era.
Chiko!
Sup who's this?
+Chiko was here john cena
And his name is JOHN CENA!!!!
+Chiko was here the best era
Payton face was priceless
mans was truly ahead of his time, a real life 2k player
Yea I miss dude he was fire.. SOUTH CENTRAL NATIVE OUTT.. love that Gary gave him that look but respect at the same time..
Then later they got a ring together
plus77mann HAHA.. YEP..
1:07 I remember people trying to imitate that pass in elementary school, still legendary
Even The Glove was impressed in the end.. :-)
Yeah, and he's regarded as one of the best perimeter defenders of all time.
The most entertaining player to ever play basketball!
Finally a video of Jason Williams.
Lo vi en vivo en aquella epoca ...
Y recordarle es un gran sentimiento Basketball al 100%!!!
Damn. I must learn that elbow pass.
This guy was so much fun to watch.
brought the street ball play to the nba courts.. not many can do it.. especially a white fella.. props white chocolate
The same reason that the NBA and its journalists ostracized him during his entire career. They claimed he was "bastardizing" the game.
He did it with such refinement & conviction.. wouldn't they have said the same thing about pete marivich if street ball was a thing in the 60s,70s? His brilliant "end-all" was the execution. You rarely saw him throw a behind the back pass into the stands.
basketball is entertainment thats why its better to watch NBA 90's and 2000's where era of great player has born compare now where drama is included and money of course..this man has a talent of Kyrie dribbling, Curry's shooting and i cant mention someone on New Era of NBA can pass like him
@@dragking9735 Curry shooting? He was a terrible shooter
you could tell glove was salty when the white boy shook em
Adam Barett that shxt had me weaaaak!! lololol
Adam Barett salty..... he smiled, that's respect.... you make your last name salty with that comment
Adam Barett “White boy”, huh? What about those black boys he juked
The Dude what..
WavyyShotzz Black Boys son
When you cross Gary Payton, you're good.
beyond being good
even stockton got doped by his moves
That smile the Glove gave him though
And they are teammates and won a ring in Miami.
He was Absolutely Incredible!! Even today his Play is Next level!!
This is the LEGIT no-look pass. The shit that players do now is turn their head the last second..
actually point guards like rondo and cp3 do plenty of legit no-look passes
I agree, players now have already begun their passing motion before looking away. Jason Williams will be looking one way and then pass in the opposite direction WITHOUT moving his head.
Number 2 was just... just beautiful. :'(
Imagine how good Jason Williams could've been if he wasn't traded to Memphis. If he stayed with them through 2002, he could've been the missing piece of the puzzle to get them past the Lakers.
He was traded for Mike Bibby.
I didn't like it at the time but Bibby really was better for that team and more consistent. If there was a 10 worst plays of Jason Williams countdown it would look pretty brutal.
Imagine how good he could be if he wasn't a stoner. Smoking weed isn't worth that playmaker skill.
er, bibby was a better player overall. White chocolate had the razzle-dazzle but Bibby was better for the team.
Ernest101au true story, too bad most people rather get high
You know you're doing something right when you leave both Stockton and Payton baffled at the 3P-line
2:57 Payton grimey ass tried to trip him
I saw that too
They were grimey times.
U do that against someone unguardable.
@@samphimm8253 jwill wasnt unguardable.
how come I never hear people talking about this guy?
Sergio_Zavaleta new generation
Sergio_Zavaleta Streetball guys always look a lot more effective on highlights than they were.
He was a good player, buy wasn't very efficient. His best seasons, he was only averaging 5-6 assists a game and about 12 points. And that's playing 32-33 minutes a game.
So he was a flashy passer, but not actually a great passer.
Cj M in his best season he was averaging 15 points and 8 assists. I agree that he looks better in highlights but he was pretty good player too.
People don't talk about him, because for every play like the ones in the video you can find 100 of him completely fucking up. He was a very unimpressive player.
sbaum82 that was his game... unexpected but as he got older he was smarter with the ball in Miami so what are you talkin about
He was fun to watch, and he was an effective starting point guard for a decade. Not too shabby.
Met Jason and he was down to earth and nice. Thought he was gonna be like a little Eminem type guy so wasn’t expecting the sweet nature of him
The way he dribbled, passed and played with his kings(best Kings squad ever) teammate was sick! Closest to pete maravich
Best Kings squad was when they got Mike Bibby instead of Jason Williams, not tryna take anything away from Jason, phenomenal player to watch.
AriHiroki Peter Griffin Yeah, the best Kings team was 2001-02 after trading Williams for Bibby in the 2001 offseason. I live in Sacramento and from what I recall JW had a history of disappearing in the postseason early in his career.
Yes he traded to memphis for bibby. Then the sacramento lakers rivalry started
