One of the best playmakers, teammates, passers, and players in nba history. If he was on a different team, he would have been a starter and a 25/10 guy and had more 'individual' accolades.
It’s why he and TP were the best teammates for TD. They knew they were great players by themselves, but they are capable of something more if they don’t try to outshine each other and just let Timmy work. Never had the passing ability of Magic, never shot as well as Larry, never was anything close to MJ as an athlete. I know it's exaggerating for effect, but there's no need to overhype a guy like Manu. He was good enough to simple be called Manu, never really needed or had a comparison
@jim doe honestly, i'd change it to the court vision of magic, the iq of larry & the fire of mj.... he didn't really make the signature magic-type passes often, but he still got the ball to the open guy a lot. he wasn't really the most accurate of shooters, nor was he ever in the 50-40-90 club, but he had a ridiculous basketball iq (something i'm sure james harden knows too well). he wasn't soaring through the air from the free throw line or making a habit of posterizing big men, but he was far from ok with losing & he was going to make sure you earned a victory against him.
Manu Ginobili is proof that stats don’t tell the tale of the tape, the ability to make the right play at the right time is a lot more important then someone whom is piling up points that doesn’t translate to wins. Stats can be circumstantial, depending on soooo many things! I’d take Manu over a lot of current superstars, he’s someone who’s a team player and will lay out and die on the court. Believe dat!!!
Agree, stats means shit. Manu won something with every team he was in : Euroleague, Olympics and NBA title. Many so called better players doesn't half of his resume. He should be an HOF inductee this year, for me it's a no brainer.
Manu maneuvering his way to the Hall of Fame! Always entertaining to watch and a player who always has a trick up in his sleeve. What a career for Manu, nothing but respect.
The humility that this man has is impressive, he is one of the most complete players in the history of the NBA, really a Legend. :aplause: Argentina te ama ♥
Admirable in so many ways, but a few things to note for younger players: a) The precision of his passes. It wasn't just about getting the ball to a teammate. It was about leaving the ball ready for the teammate to shoot. His best passes were all about hitting the ideal spot for the receiving player so that they could easily dribble or shoot without little to no time needed to compose themselves and set their shooting motion. b) No gloating or posing for the cameras. He would pull an incredible defensive or offensive play and immediately turn around and get involved with the next action. Too many young players these days think that the game stops for them after they score or stop one play that they perform for the cameras instead of continue playing until there is a whistle.
@@beforethedutt7996 t mac had the potential but if we're going off of what they actually did in their careers Manu> t mac EASY.... those injuries robbed mac from reaching his potential.

That 2014 Spurs team ushered the pace and space style of play the Kerr used to unlock Curry’s potential. So yeah, agreed!
Most entertaining top 20 plays I’ve ever watched. Manu has such a unique and beautiful style of play. Nobody will ever be able to imitate his play style, a true legend that we’ll never see the likes of again.
Top 10 sg of all time. Didnt care about starting. The most exciting player out of that big 3 in San Antonio.
In my list even if Manu not was big start he 4sg after Mj, Kobe and Wade. And yes i passed McGrady, Allen, Penny and others. Manu have rings and great carrer.
top 10 is too high
He could've been top 5 with his own team but we will never know will we.
@@nets4life377 he averaged 19 points in a 7 game finals series against DETROIT, with how tough Ben Wallace and that team was TOUGH, 19 points doesn't sound all that tough, but it was 7 games against an extremely good defensive team

They destroyed the Heat Big 3, the OKC Big 3, the Phoenix Big 3, Shaq-Kobe, and the Finley-Dirk Dallas era. Damn.
One of the best to ever set foot on a court. Yet one of the most unnoticed and underrated.
I always have to come back to this. we've just never seen a player like Manu. Balls of steel to make any play, the pride to come off the bench, and clutch out the ass I miss this beast of a man so much
And his awkward funky style made it so hard to guard.
Most underrated baller.
Greatest 6th man of all time.
I never wanted the video to end! What a player he was!! He was a mix of everything! El mejor deportista de Argentina 🇦🇷!!!!
Seeing all this magic and my favorite play is still the buzzer beater against Serbia in 2004, can't stop loving this man
He have another 20 plays better, buzzer beaters by half court, dunks, blocks, savage plays, circus shot, pass under the legs of Kobe, this top 20 is very short
Agreed, there could easily be a top 100
Where’s the bat catching play?
Just his passing skills could give us a top 100.
how about the kuroko pass of manu..
Fabian Nieto same last name haha. Manu was a monster. When it was clutch time ginobili had the ball in his hands
I guess the NBA doesn't want to spend the extra effort ordering these anymore....Regardless, phenomenal career by one of the best foreign players and sixth men in history. Surefire Hall of Famer.
philly_ sports I think it’s more they don’t want to risk arguing about what is number one.
I could imagine people getting into comment wars why such and such play should've been #1 and not #2.
philly_ sports from other comments u seem to b OCD about thimgs being in the right order
Orgullo Argentino !!!
I'm a Dallas Fanatic ever since, and I can't remember how many times did Manu break our hearts.
Very few people have highlights close to this spectacular. He’s easily one of the most amazing basketball players who ever laced them up.
Respect for Manu definite future hall of famer

Finally someone said it.
Manu is an underrated Frankenstein monster: Passing ability of Magic, Shooting ability of Larry, Athleticism of Michael, Nuff said. HOF.
Spot on I agree 100%
He's a legend!!!
Never had the passing ability of Magic, never shot as well as Larry, never was anything close to MJ as an athlete. I know it's exaggerating for effect, but there's no need to overhype a guy like Manu. He was good enough to simple be called Manu, never really needed or had a comparison
@@pillestyrer 1 year later someone had to do it your still a idiot
@@pillestyrer Even the coronavirus can't stop me from calling you an idiot, idiot.
Definitely one of the craftiest players in the NBA. What a blessing to have been able to watch him play
Agree with both, how he isn’t top 75 boggles mes
Manu maneuvering his way to the Hall of Fame! Always entertaining to watch and a player who always has a trick up in his sleeve. What a career for Manu, nothing but respect.

Man I am a Lakers fan but always loved watching Manu play. Hes a legend
Vamos argentina
This man here is the reason why I'm a fan of basketball.
Admirable in so many ways, but a few things to note for younger players:
a) The precision of his passes.

One word to describe this dude.Fearless!!!
as a left handed player i have tried to play like manu my whole life. i’ve never seen him finish with his right and it works. so inspiring
This guy was special, what a joy to have watched him play.
If Manu is incredible player in offense, he's a very good defenser too!!!!
He was pretty good stealing, he blocked a long list of major players at their prime (Durant, James, Wade, Garnett, etc), he was great drawing offensive fouls, and even in his last years he could bother opponents enough to force them to make mistakes. He was always a great all-around player.

MrFacuVideos nope but Manu had a better team around him always. Dirk, as an individual player, was better than Manu. All respect to the Argentinian though that man was tough as nails, put the team on his back, and always found a way to win. Love me some Manu

The Latin Mamba !!! The man is a GOAT HOF! People just don't realize how amazing is manu, a late 2nd Rnd pick, to this greatness. didn't learn bball in the US and stamped his game in the NBA. AND PLEASE @NBA & Media Change that Eurostep name to "THE MANU STEP" Like if you agree ! Manu is not from Europe and he started that move in Argentina. Like if you agree !
@KingMeercraft19 bro, Argentina is part of Latin America, so he is Latin
@KingMeercraft19 yeah, Argentina is in South America and it's part of Latinamerica too, spanish language comes from Latin, I don't understand your argument
@KingMeercraft19 dude, you're mixing things up. South America and Latin America are different things, sure, but they enclose almost the same countries because one term refers to geography and the other one to language, just look up Latin America and you'll find the first result a map in Wikipedia where Argentina is coloured green because it is a latinamerican country
@KingMeercraft19 As an argentinian, please read a book man.
Wishing how he could return so bad right now with the spurs going through a turmoil. People have Michael Jordan or Lebron James inspiring them to play basketball but I will take Manu as my biggest inspiration and role model any time no doubt. His just special and none are like him. Sometimes I don't even believe myself that a 40 year old man inspired me to play basketball .
I almost started crying watching this
One of a kind. I hope someday he gets the respect he truly deserves...
The sound of an away crowd all collectively shouting "Woah!" really defines Manu's style
So entertaining
bruh i never realized how smooth his game was.
Young Many was something else, he cut up defences for fun, ua-cam.com/video/y8zhDrzorXs/v-deo.html look how he dominated when when Tim Duncan and Tony Parker missed games
He was playing street ball out there half the time. That's why old man Pop didn't like him for the longest. Until playoff time came around.
Happens to people who only get to watch Lebron saying "I'm GOAT". When clearly he is only just top 5 or top 10 of all time.
You are probably very young that's why
*Ginobili >> Har_en*
Thats a secret
TheNBAFreak I’m sorry but no.
Big Fella L
TheNBAFreak I can already tell you're a casual. Harden actually plays some defense now and it's absurd to say that a glorified role player (no offense to Manu) is better than an MVP.
Real Talk these non hoopers don't realize theres only a Harden because of Obi-wan Ginobli. The only people who think Harden is better were born mid 2000's...Facts
I loved watching Manu. One of the greatest shooting guards of that era
Manu and Tony were some of their generation’s greatest finishers at the rim.
both absolutely fearless and could always spin the ball beautifully off the backboard from any angle. Manu could yam that b too 🤣🤣
There are idiots who will never give Manu his due because they say if he was really good he would have been a starter. This dude is a winner on the international, Olympic, and NBA level. Whatever you needed done, he did. Pass, Steal, Dunk, Clutch 3’s...and he made the Eurostep popular before Wade and Harden.
