Laptop deals are definitely a great right now! Especially if you're looking for a great 14" or last years models which are all still more than great. I just recently got the Legion Slim 5 14" OLED for like $1000 a couple weeks during Christmas time and I'm just stunned at the performance and the OLED screen at the price that I paid. It's 1440 resolution with a 4060 and it's just a beautiful machine. I have a primary desktop rig where I have a 4070 in it but being able to have my laptop to game and do some work away from my desk is a treat with this thing. And there's plenty of options in the sub $1000 as well. Badseed, I hope you do more laptop reviews because there's a lot there right now. The legion lineups are crazy, the Asus G14, and their lineups are crazy.
Excellent point you made about previous gen laptops going on discounts. I got an $2400 MSRP AORUS laptop for ~$1500 a little over a year ago and I was shocked to say the least.

alienware once shipped me a laptop without an M key...
I have the 2022 razer blade 15 with 4k 144 hz display Intel i9 1200h cpu 32gb ram and 1 tb ssd. I wish gaming laptops still have desktop cpu's from 2019 like the msi gt76 titan and the alienware area 51m with the Intel desktop Intel i9-9900k desktop cpu. Beginning in 2020 and newer laptops don't have mobile cpu's that don't have support and have the unlocked multiplier to customize and overclock the cpu for gaming and mainly for high cpu. For example, the Intel i9-9900k desktop cpu all 8 cores can be overclocked to 5ghz. My desktop pc has the Intel i9-9900k, msi godlike motherboard, 2080 ti ftw 3 from evga, noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler, seasonic 1,000 watt titanium power supply, 3 samsung 970 evo plus nvme, 2 samsung 860 sata ssd. All my ssds are in jbod not raid so I can have full access to 6.25 tb of storage. I also have 32gb ram g skills enabled to 4000 mhz with xmp with timings at cl 17-17-17-37. I wanted 4600 mhz since my motherboard maxes out at 4600 mhz however the 4600 mhz was only available in 16gb when the 32gb ram samsung b die ram I was specifically looking for was not available so I settled for 4000 mhz with lowest latency and timings as possible. I need 32gb minimum for running all my android apps with windows 10 using bluestacks with all my android apps when I chose the custom resolution in the bluestacks settings to run all android apps in 4k and make all my android apps run in 4k. Meanwhile I have chrome tabs running along with steam downloading the games while also playing every game in native 4k with hdr enabled, dlss off, v sync off and motion blur and my android apps running in the background including my modded android apps like the modded version of youtube to bypass the ads. My sony xperia 1 iv android phone has a 4k 120 hz oled display.
