Molong?
I love how the tune at 0:51 is so iconic, they included it in the remake.
Why the fuck _wouldn't_ they include the game's soundtrack?? The fact that they didn't use more of it is criminal.

Yeah it look identical to the original ones
I always liked the tragic feeling to the calmer music in the RE series. It gives off a real "The World is Crying" sort of feeling.
Well said
Listening to this made me forget about Village hype and just cherish how good this damn game was. RE2 remake for life baby!
For reals, what a masterpiece. I still remember the chills I got when my woman told me "hey did you see the trailer they released... for RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE!!!" haven't felt like that since 1998.
@@cap350125 Same here man. The hype was unreal and the game lived up to the hype. Yes, it had its peaks and valleys but as a whole, it nailed it. It was actually a more expensive game than the OG one was. People get caught up with the OG being longer when in fact the door loading times and fixed camera load times made the game appear longer.
@@captainjaber5610 yeah mostly having to post up round them corners listening to dog feet against concrete or them big brained streakers trying to impress everyone with the size of their tongues pfft and your ass is on danger.

Village wasnt that good anyway

Its to much, bro

What's weird is that even when you don't have nostalgia for a particular thing you can still sympathize with the feeling of it and simulate it. When you hear that part of the track you can visualize the nostalgia in a way, but without the direct connection to it. It's always great to find soundtracks that aren't generic and capture really memorable emotions. I feel like the first 1:20 of this track from Age of Empires II ua-cam.com/video/Il3Svh8G8Q0/v-deo.html does this as well.
The sad thing I'm technically a new comer(Started playing RE games around 2017 playing RE1 DC on PSN as well as later on RE2), but I can totally appreciate how someone must of felt hearing this theme.
"Hello? Is anybody here?"
Hello I'm Marvin
Definitely that kind of music. xD
Mr X Hello There!!!

Yesss
Is that an original RE2 melody? I have only played the remake.
@@kkndcf it's a piece of the original rpd theme from re2 classic. So yes you are right.

if only capcom make it auto loop every time you've in front hall but this is only for one loop.
We should really get the devs to make a patch for the music to loop.
@@crazedschizoid5906 I hope a mods could do it.
Just play with the original OST. Much better than this anyways.
I've noticed that even with the save room. When you turn the light on, the theme plays but it stops after a few moments. Unless you flick the light on/off to activate it every time you enter a save room
yeah sadly that was my main issue with RE2 remakes music !
I love how classic and new it feels 🥰😍
I agree its wonderful 😍👌🏻❤️
Me to
It's like the music is telling me, "You know you're not going to survive, right? ... Oh, well... I guess you can rest here for now. Take a quick breath and think over your fate."

I love how they incorporated the original music in the the new.
sadly you'll will hear silence instead of a good soundtrack on all the rooms of the game
yeah and later the soundtrack wont loop for no god damn reason... just so strange that they didn’t make the main hall and save room soundtrack loop 😂
@@solid_fire9388 they wanted to be a horror game, but the classic Resident Evil saga is known by being spooky only at the start, let's be honest when you grab the shotgun you feel so much comfortable
Anrho indeed but if you run out of ammo then RIP 😂 the reason i say that cause i really loved the RE2 remake soundtrack, not the classic swap, for example Mr.X theme was amazing, also there were some places that the ost looped, like the chess ♟ plug puzzle 😊
what so the music just stops? strange
I definitely think this main hall theme fits the remake, the feeling when Leon/Claire opens the RPD front door and greeted by an empty and large hall. Shame it can't loop in the game though
The resident evil soundtracks really sets you in on how you feel trapped, trying to find a way out.
Everything about RE2 Remake is AWESOME
0:50 sends chills down my spine really takes me back to 2020
This is a fantastic version of the original track. Peaceful, harmonic and tuned rightfully.
Here's how I rated the Main Hall theme through the games it was in:
1. Original Version from RE2 & RE3
2. RE2 Remake
3. RE: Darkside Chronicles
4. RE: Operation Raccoon City
The best game ever made! Hands down.
This is without a doubt the best game I ever played in the past 19 years. They did an amazing job remaking this game.
It really puts you back to 1998s and those ost choices they went with, it just makes it better, truly masterpiece of a game
What about g.o.w
This is one of the best games I’ve played besides god of war.
I just keep coming back to this game like I swear dude
I end up closing the game if I fail but two seconds later I see myself going back.
It’s such a good game man.
Playing it for the first time right now and man...awesome and way more unforgiving than I expected.
They threw "mass appeal" out of the window and reminded us what "survival horror" is actually supposed to mean.
Now that you think about it. This both gives me classic RE2 and some serious RE Oubtreak file #2 vibes...
“Oh God, no...Marvin...”
I Feel that its very symbolic in a way, because while you could say that the music adds mystery and somewhat peace of mind, we have to remember that this very building that was suppose to stand for law, order, and justice, actually represents corruption, and despair, very sad indeed due to the fate of those within the building looking for hope in dark time's only to find death.
"Did we just become best friends?!" Man Deus Ex is my favorite gaming series, but this falls right behind it! You are awesome! I'm pumped to play this game.
I saw Deus ex and liked
Finally next week we return to a proper resident evil game. ..resi is back! This is beautiful just like the original

To think we were stuck with stuff like RE5 and now we have this. Thank the heavens
@@visionist7 RE4 was the beginning of the end.RE5 had too much action bullzhit but it ain't the worst.

@@EnlightenAlchemist Resident Evil is probably better that Resident Evil 2 quality wise, yet still Resident Evil 4 has very little "Resident Evil", still an amazing game.
The really were on point with this theme. It's like creepy...but kind of relaxing at the same time. Yet you know, what's lurking in the dark hallways and around every corner.
I think I'm in love.
A lot of people seem to say the original RPD Hall is better to which I say... I prefer this version in the context of the Remake. The original worked in the original RE2 but this one is perfect for the Remake. This theme plays RIGHT after you get to the RPD after playing running through a zombie horde. It’s calm, the harp plays letting you relax for a bit. Sadly this song doesn’t loop in the main hall but the main hall is never always safe so it wouldn’t make much sense if it did. This games music is very specific in were it plays. Mainly, the devs want you to take in the dynamic lighting and the AMAZING sounds and acoustics this game has to offer. If you think Mr. ax’s footsteps are scary they are even freakier with headphones. That being said, I think the one place they should have allowed the music to loop is the savrooms. Sadly, that was not the case. However they fixed that for RE3.
I to this day feel the original is better.
@@awesomesauce5974no
The Main Hall theme in PS1 sounded more shivering like chilling down the player's spine.
Now here in the Remake, it sounds way more relaxing like if you were going through depression and you need to be somewhere to shut your head off.
When i saw that zombies could be in the main hall i felt violated.

Awesome work. Can't wait for a Safe Room ambience.
A bit disappointed that they changed the theme, as the old one really added to the creepiness.
It still sounds great though.

If i made my country called Arklay Mountains in 11 sep 2040, the Police station will be like this and my capital city will always be Raccoon City.
Like the original, it is scary, relaxing and contains just a bit of majesty.
“You must be the new guy, Leon.”
Absolute love for this game. Beautiful, full of simplicity (being magnanimous) at the same time. Can't wait more for RE3.
Oh boy... About that..
Am I the only one that gets an eerie type feeling when entering the police station for the first time in the remake and seeing what's left behind it makes you picture what was going on inside the day before claire and leon arrived the chaos of the remaining officers trying to keep the station secure while the chief went more mad
God I can't tell you how happy I am with this remake. A blast from the past wow goosebumps
Very relaxing
I said it once I'll say it again until I'm blue in the face. Resident Evil has always had such a wonderful and beautiful soundtrack.
What do you mean by "until im blue in the face"
This honestly really fits the remake. I just wish it played every time we went into the main hall and not just once :(
Same. It's beautiful.
The music is like survive.....if I let you
i just loved how the soundtrack is mixed with the 90s version and made it sound more modern, its still scary and beautiful at the same time😩
The theme is amazing. Its almost as if, not only to show how much this place will play into the rest of the game, but also as if it is a homage to the iconicness of the original.
Yeah', 'I'm weird to...
I use this for sleeping
Best remake and best game ever!
“Hello! Anybody here?…..”
whoaaaaa i love this. thanks for sharing!
its interesting, it seems like relaxing music but there is an evil presence like that something bad happened and is going to happen ... a constant tension, don't you think?
An AMAZING job.
Sounds very nice and strangely relaxing. By the way, I was wondering, GA, have you ever considered making your 1 hour videos with "Bloodborne" music? I'm not sure if there's enough ambient to work with there, but I'm sure it would've been something.
Is Bloodborne exclusive to the PS4? I honestly haven't had the chance to buy any of this generations consoles yet sadly :(
@@GamingAmbience Yeah, as far as I know, it's a PS4 exclusive. I'm a PC man myself, so I've only seen it played here on UA-cam, but the music instantly gripped me. Very dark, gothic, kind of Elfman-esque maybe.
Still feel sorry for Marvin he was definitely a top guy.
Open this god damn door!!!!
Can't wait to play this again on PS5 Remastered with visual enhancements, and adaptive triggers !!!
The new OST isn't bad...... but it just doesn't hit like the original imo. Once I realized you can switch to the original I have never gone back.

The perfect remake.

Yeah! Me too. Only classic.
You guys are missing out - If you enjoy the original back in 1998 then you will be blown away with the remake !!
1998 yılında oyunu ilk oynayanlardan biriyim,o atmosfer çok başkaydı o dönemin teknolojisine göre..
Such a beautiful game.
Reminds me a lot of the OUTBREAK file 2 rendition.
i don't understand capcom where the embarrassed with their music now that they only put it once?
Captivating... But it doesn't beat the original RE2 soundtrack! Like the themes of the RPD Main Hall, the library, the 1F and 2F BGMs... Damn they're fantastic.
Yer Same Am Glad Am Not The Only One Who Thinks This. :)
5:58 psx memories
Was this actually in game???? I never played the demo but I have the the full game 0.0
In a very low volume.
Ive put about 100 hours into this game and Ive ONLY played with the classic soundtrack on. New one doesn't compare.
First time hearing this, I just went straight to the classic RE2 soundtrack. Haha
Glad they added a normal staircase to the hall....Even as an 8 year old in 1998, it always bothered me that the original RPD didn’t have a proper staircase. You would literally have to walk through a bunch of rooms and hallways to get to the second floor, unless the ladder was deployed (and it’s only used for emergencies).
Yeah as much as I love the original RE2, that didn't make sense at all LOL
I like the original better, but I love this one as well, it is dope in it´s own way.
It feels like a mix between the save room theme from RE1 and RE4 mixed with the main hall theme from 2 and 3.
It´s way more atmospheric and I like that harp or koto, which adds teh RE1 mood to it. But I think the original version sounds way mroe dramatic.
Wow amazing theme song of remake wonderful
Reminds me the zombies i knifed through door 's library and killed me many times...
Yup zombies can glitch if you really piss them off 😆
Literally the epitome of “kreygasm”
What's that word? Just curious.

Re2 and 4 remake were so fuckin good. Hope they put Leon in the next mainline RE game is in some way, it’s been too long since we’ve heard anything from him
*THE DEAD WALK!*
Awesome ambient track excelent
I've actually never heard this version of the main hall, cause the first thing I did when I bought the game was change the music to the original.
Old music is so much better
I love this remake of the original music.....but the original is on top for me 🥺
“Something tells me he’s not a cop”
I have to say, the music in the remake was the only thing that let me down.
Whilst the re1 remake recreated the original themes faithfully and added a new edge to them, the re2 remake essentially removed (or greatly lowered the volume) of music from the game, to the point where it was barely audible.
I ended up paying for the original soundtrack DLC, just so that the Main Hall theme played every time I entered the location.
I want a VR experience of the RPD office!
Le meilleur des resident evil
Everytime I enter the RPD on a new game, I always slowly pan the camera upwards at the statue to call to the original. I have never played the original btw.
It's definitely worth playing the original if you can. The A/B scenario is much more varied in the original.
I played it many years ago but I'd already played 1 & 3. I might even have played the remake of 1 before I played 2. Years before that, I had a walkthrough booklet for 2 and I had read it so much that I memorised everything, except some puzzle solutions, for when I played 2 years later.
But the best part was the walkthrough explicitly mentioned "no ammo exists for the submachine gun, it cannot be reloaded". So imagine my delight when at the end of scenario B, I accessed the room in the lab that needs you to register your fingerprints in scenario A for first. In there I found an awesome exclusive score playing and machine gun ammo!
Play it you'll love it
@@visionist7 dunno if I can. You can say I can play it on PC but I’m not really comfortable with PC gaming. I don’t own a PS1 or any PlayStation consoles in general to do so. If I could, I would. Plus the original Resident Evil games are hard to generally buy in good condition. So… I’ll keep dreaming. I did replay the remake as Claire A and Leon B with their classic clothing. I just didn’t have the soundtrack swap. I know, I really suck. I’m sure you had a really memorable time with the classic though.
I only owned or played 4, 7, 2 and 3 remake, and before any tension is brought up, I enjoyed it and it could’ve kept or changed pre-existing things instead of completely cutting them out. I mean yeah, somethings like hospital or the Nemesis himself are examples. Though something like the gas station being explorable which maybe cool to find hidden and needed items, is also relatively pointless cuz it has no real importance. I enjoy it for what it is. Also RE3 has always been bent on action but not as much as later titles so. If you don’t like it, whatever. Your choices, your opinion.
I’m working my way to getting VILLAGE. Can’t wait to slice up Thick Mommy Vampire and her triplet daughter mother daughter combo meal.
I am torn between this version and Remake's they are both good in their own ways. This one deffently cares the weight of PS1 nostalgia where as Remake's fits the remake's atmosphere better.
My RE 2 remake is so silent! I can barely hear the music.
Anyone hoping to hear this in REmake 3 this April?
There is no comparison with the original RPD Main Hall Theme
*So it begins*
This nusic sound ms when you are in main hall with Leon? Cause i never listen whe i was playing
