This put nearly half the major warships out of action and made any early invasion impracticable.
Argentina was a regional military power in the 40s and 50s, Perón helped the country to develop a very strong military, but that would have not changed anything in this timeline. We should have joined the allies sooner like our neighbours did...
All good, but, the U.S. and especially Britain relied heavily on imports of Argentine beef, and its loss during a war could have made the logistical situation more difficult for the Allies.
I dont know if Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile would stay very still watching how only Brazil and Bolvia get something Uruguay lost several territories during the Brazilian War (when it was the Federal League) Paraguay during the Triple Alliance War And Chile, although at that time it was the nation most politically aligned with Argentina It was because of the latter that they lost the sovereignty of Patagonia during the Pacific War due to pressure from Buenos Aires (thus preventing Argentina from getting into the war along with Bolvia and Peru).
I’m gonna keep asking this Instead of “what if Germany kept trying” do “what if France kept trying” 1871 - France loses Franco Prussian war, cedes Alsace Laurene to Germany 1914-1919 - France’s loses the weltkreig, and cedes the border region of Alsace, cedes Nancy, dunkirk, and Lillie, while Germany annexes Luxembourg and the all the land up to the Meuse river, while making a puppet of Belgium. Also France ends up undergoing a far left revolution and the original government flees to Africa 1939-1945 - France loses the second weltkrieg, and cedes the area around Calais and up to Amiens, which is given to Germanys Belgian puppet. France’s original government is restored to power under restrictions 1948 - France loses 3rd weltkreig, forced to cede the Lorraine plateau behind the cities of Nancy and Metz, and also cedes all of the French alps to Italy, while Switzerland also gains land up to annecy, furthermore, britanny gains full independence while France itself becomes a complete puppet government of Germany, permanently.
Reminder that Argentina didn't join the second world war because the UK told them not to. During that time, Argentina was providing food and different animal based products to Europe (the UK in particular). The british wanted Argentina not to join because if they did, the axis would have been allowed to destroy the ships with food and such. Thus making it more difficult for the UK to resist the nazi attacks.
Good vid but you dnt understand our polotics fully, yes labour is the left wing party but they never got rid of left ideas, labour took all the policies farrrrr left instead, labour are socialist/communist.
On thing worth mentioning about Roberto Ortiz is that not only did he ban some Axis-friendly organisations, but he also held negociations to join the Allies. His proposal was shut down by the UK government because Germany could target Argentine shipping, which was a major source of food for the UK. Kinda wild how we went from our most anti-axis president to a man who wanted the founder of one of the largest fascist organisation to succeed him as president, and a man who sent the army to stop people from celebrating the liberation of Paris.

Argentina was indeed an Axis nation, and Peron was its ideological leader (in the sense Spain and Franco were). Most of the negative backlash of an invasion you mention did actually occurred. bold of you to assume brazil could overrun argentina, if you research past latam wars, youll see it has always ended in a stalemate
I think you should do an "What if everything went perfect for Portugal/Spain" and revive that series
Argentina mando mas de 5.000 voluntarios ah la guerra,y varios de ellos fueron muy famoso, pilotos de cazas
Argentina was a regional military power in the 40s and 50s, Perón helped the country to develop a very strong military, but that would have not changed anything in this timeline. We should have joined the allies sooner like our neighbours did...
Would that have changed anything if we joined the allies?
9:48 Yugoslavia shouldn't be in blue as they were neutral and Titoist.
Truly the good timeline
All good, but, the U.S. and especially Britain relied heavily on imports of Argentine beef, and its loss during a war could have made the logistical situation more difficult for the Allies.
i one day gotta know how to know and study this much as you dude, very impressive
Muy interesante.
Excelente comprensión y analisis de la política inglesa pero muy poca comprensión de la política argentina.
I dont know if Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile would stay very still watching how only Brazil and Bolvia get something
Uruguay lost several territories during the Brazilian War (when it was the Federal League) Paraguay during the Triple Alliance War
And Chile, although at that time it was the nation most politically aligned with Argentina
It was because of the latter that they lost the sovereignty of Patagonia during the Pacific War due to pressure from Buenos Aires (thus preventing Argentina from getting into the war along with Bolvia and Peru).
now i want more south american alternate history, great
Proportional Representation Britain? This surely is the best timeline!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Would have been pretty cool, Britain would have starved.
may I ask on how do I join the discord (or well, rejoin)
because the link isn’t there, and the one in the channel description is expired
I think Paraguay would also join to take some land from Argentina lost in the war of triple alliance.
PH is really my favorite alt history UA-camr, unlike others he actually put realism as priority and not crazy outcomes
I’m gonna keep asking this
Instead of “what if Germany kept trying” do “what if France kept trying”
1871 - France loses Franco Prussian war, cedes Alsace Laurene to Germany
1914-1919 - France’s loses the weltkreig, and cedes the border region of Alsace, cedes Nancy, dunkirk, and Lillie, while Germany annexes Luxembourg and the all the land up to the Meuse river, while making a puppet of Belgium. Also France ends up undergoing a far left revolution and the original government flees to Africa
1939-1945 - France loses the second weltkrieg, and cedes the area around Calais and up to Amiens, which is given to Germanys Belgian puppet. France’s original government is restored to power under restrictions
1948 - France loses 3rd weltkreig, forced to cede the Lorraine plateau behind the cities of Nancy and Metz, and also cedes all of the French alps to Italy, while Switzerland also gains land up to annecy, furthermore, britanny gains full independence while France itself becomes a complete puppet government of Germany, permanently.
Blessed timeline
Reminder that Argentina didn't join the second world war because the UK told them not to. During that time, Argentina was providing food and different animal based products to Europe (the UK in particular). The british wanted Argentina not to join because if they did, the axis would have been allowed to destroy the ships with food and such. Thus making it more difficult for the UK to resist the nazi attacks.
Good vid but you dnt understand our polotics fully, yes labour is the left wing party but they never got rid of left ideas, labour took all the policies farrrrr left instead, labour are socialist/communist.
La próxima ponelo en un traductor chabon, no se entiende nada.
What if something similar to the goben and breslau happened with the graf spee where it is transferred to Argentina instead of sunk
Are you forgetting about Paraguay who had a literal Nazi in power?
Really? Who was he?
Oh, do "What if Romani people got their own state after WW2?"
Scenario 1, somewhere in Egypt.
Scenario 2, somewhere in Europe.
Scenario 3, somewhere in the Indian subcontinent.
Please refrain from using the G slur, they are called Romani
@@TheSmokeOfSolidarity you are right, I forgot that was a slur. Sorry on my behalf.
@@NovikNikolovic it's Okie, we all make mistakes it's just important we learn from them
@@TheSmokeOfSolidarity now I just hope the Eurobros don't attack me for this comment just cause I even once brought up the notion of Romani people.
They definitely wouldn't have kept that state especially in Egypt and India they would've been slaughtered
So there is a really important figure in hungarian politics: Gyurcsány Ferenc whos actions contributed greatly to the creation of the Orban regime. He based his politics on Tony Blaire significantly so in this alternate history hungarian politics might aswell be changed dramatically...
It's Malvinas, not Fuckland
My argentinian is grandpa is loving these vids, make one about germany winning please
South georgia used to be here, but then disappered from this scene 5:40 Was that intentional?
Please make a video about an total Anti-Sino War (the united eight nations) 1900
Argentina was indeed an Axis nation, and Peron was its ideological leader (in the sense Spain and Franco were). Most of the negative backlash of an invasion you mention did actually occurred.
The real question could've been if such military action could have prevented the coup in 1943. That would've been really interesting. But I realize it may be too much to ask.
Argentina: joins the axis

URUGUAY MENTIONED RAHHHH🇺🇾🔥🔥🔥
14:00 I'm not sure about this claim, because a ton of British colonies in Asia were occupied by Japan as well.
"Core british territory" not colony, do Indians see themselves as British?
This OP is wrong and need to listen more carefully to the video. There was no colonial administration or quasi-independent dominion in charge of the Falklands. Unlike Malaya and Burma, the Falkland Islands were directly held by Britain itself.
Now what if ussr assisted argentina in the 1982 war?
What happened to the map download?
8:53 what are those lines on Switzerland?
may you do What If Canada Won the revolts (Rebellions of 1837, rebellions mounted in 1837-38 in each colony of Upper and Lower Canada against the British Crown and the political status quo to become democracies)
URUGUAY would join the British and USA, and claim Land of Argentina, making the Return fo the Federal League fo General Artigas, the Federal Uruguay with all the Lands near Uruguay River. The End.-

Love your content! Suggestion: What if Spain reamined Trastamara and the Habsburgs stayed in the HRE?
The Idea is amazing but its at a time where the continuing is too reliant on uncertain events such as who marries who or which important figure dies when.

It just popped into my head and I thought it would be funny lol
Why did you delete PH Maps? (Google Drive)
I need a "what if every country that could join the axis did" Video.
This means Britain never is corrupted by neoliberalism... this world is, in such a strange way, beautiful. I love it
