But I was really surprised about Peron not rising to power. No Peronism? That was truly mind blowing for me.
@@zddxddyddw Eh, bah, you know what I mean.
Argentinian here, the whole thing doesn't make sense even for a contrafactual. Why joining the axis for Malvinas? And why bother invading at all? Peron could've just pressured the UK for the islands by cutting meat and grain exports, they were in no position to refuse.
You should make a sequel to this “What if Japan invaded the Falklands?”
that would be awesome
i mean, what would realistically change? that would be practically this scenario excluding the ww2 part
@@thehoi4standard8915 yeahh!!

Thanks for the warning.
Chile could have taken the opportunity to adjust some of the southern borders if joining the allies. Argentina could have seized other South Atlantic islands, dragging Antarctica into WWII.
I love the ending because I actually agree, "if Britain had just one more enemy in WW2 we wouldn't be in our 37th economic ressesion of the past 5 years and wouldn't have our country collapsing

Don’t forget that one time Brazil and Argentina teamed up to fight Paraguay.
I don't think so man, in this timeline the Argentines seem much better economically and I don't think Brazil would change much, maybe the dictatorship would last even longer using the victory in the war as propaganda, and in the end, it's possible that the 2024 Brazil of this timeline wouldn't be very different from our Brazil, only the 3 sulistas would have a little more territory.
If things don't somehow change for the better for this Brazil, I prefer our timeline where we don't have a minimum amount of extra territory, but the Argentine economy is in chambles...
Well, it would be funny if they somehow declared war on us to regain territory but in the end just lose even more to all the neighbors, renaming the city of Buenos Aires to Bons Ares would be awesome, but the US would definitely step in and mediate the peace talks.

This is literally the best ending for Britain... I cant imagine proportional representation here, if only
There are way better endings than this for Britain. It's still good though
I can, the Labour membership is massively in favour of it and many of the more pragmatic leaders have hinted at supporting it. I doubt Labour will suggest it for the next parliament because they will have such a massive majority that it is likely to carry them through to a second term. it is during a theoretical third term that they might actually suggest it and put it in a manifesto for a third term in order to borrow votes from the smaller parties which they would do so for greater representation down the road. Doing this after two-three parliaments in power would have given Labour the time to reverse the damage of the Tories and bed in their policies and by bringing in proportional representation prevent the Tories from undoing it.
Have hope it is possible.
Argentina being part of the Axis massively hurts Britain because of one major export: food. This would put Britain in a bind, and they were already borderline starving as is.
Still, Churchill would be too stubborn to accept the loss of the Falklands, even if it means Britain receving less food supply.
@@talesferreiralimadossantos8806 I’m saying that that is a massive problem that they’d have to contend with. Not saying what would happen necessarily.

Reminder that Argentina didn't join the second world war because the UK told them not to. During that time, Argentina was providing food and different animal based products to Europe (the UK in particular). The british wanted Argentina not to join because if they did, the axis would have been allowed to destroy the ships with food and such. Thus making it more difficult for the UK to resist the nazi attacks.

What if the allies won ww2? I know, it seems impossible but think about it.
An interesting Video would be if one side of the Allies won more than the other side. If the Western Allies managed to defeat the Germans before Operation Barbarossa starts or while the Germans were still deep inside of Russia.
Or what if the Western- Allies were somewhat more incompetent, allowing the Soviet Union to take more of Europe uncontested (Let's just say D-Day fails miserably in this timeline).

YES PH DID MY EASTERN EUROPE COLD WAR COLOR SUGGESTION
Brazil "sending some men to Europe?" Brazil sent nearly 26,000 troops to Italy, took over 20,000 Axis prisoners, and defeated Germany at the Battle of Collecchio. Also, Mexico's air combat contribution was crucial to the retaking of the Philippines.
On thing worth mentioning about Roberto Ortiz is that not only did he ban some Axis-friendly organisations, but he also held negociations to join the Allies. His proposal was shut down by the UK government because Germany could target Argentine shipping, which was a major source of food for the UK.
Kinda wild how we went from our most anti-axis president to a man who wanted the founder of one of the largest fascist organisation to succeed him as president, and a man who sent the army to stop people from celebrating the liberation of Paris.
PH is really my favorite alt history UA-camr, unlike others he actually put realism as priority and not crazy outcomes
I dont know if Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile would stay very still watching how only Brazil and Bolvia get something
Uruguay lost several territories during the Brazilian War (when it was the Federal League) Paraguay during the Triple Alliance War
And Chile, although at that time it was the nation most politically aligned with Argentina
It was because of the latter that they lost the sovereignty of Patagonia during the Pacific War due to pressure from Buenos Aires (thus preventing Argentina from getting into the war along with Bolvia and Peru).

1914-1919 - France’s loses the weltkreig, and cedes the border region of Alsace, cedes Nancy, dunkirk, and Lillie, while Germany annexes Luxembourg and the all the land up to the Meuse river, while making a puppet of Belgium. Also France ends up undergoing a far left revolution and the original government flees to Africa
1939-1945 - France loses the second weltkrieg, and cedes the area around Calais and up to Amiens, which is given to Germanys Belgian puppet. France’s original government is restored to power under restrictions
1948 - France loses 3rd weltkreig, forced to cede the Lorraine plateau behind the cities of Nancy and Metz, and also cedes all of the French alps to Italy, while Switzerland also gains land up to annecy, furthermore, britanny gains full independence while France itself becomes a complete puppet government of Germany, permanently.

So there is a really important figure in hungarian politics: Gyurcsány Ferenc whos actions contributed greatly to the creation of the Orban regime. He based his politics on Tony Blaire significantly so in this alternate history hungarian politics might aswell be changed dramatically...
Very interesting! With ,uch greater USA and UK influence in Argentina, this country might finally become the economic powerhouse of South America. Maybe Argentina might even join NATO ;)
That made we wonder what if the South-American Prussia (Chile) & Peru joined the Central powers in WW1.
Interesting 🤔
Argentina only developed a plan for invasion in late September 1941. However, within a week or so there was a collision involving one of its two battleships, one of its three cruisers and a destroyer (which sank). This put nearly half the major warships out of action and made any early invasion impracticable.
All good, but, the U.S. and especially Britain relied heavily on imports of Argentine beef, and its loss during a war could have made the logistical situation more difficult for the Allies.
A very good review of British politics in the 1980's and the lack of real democracy due to our voting system
