Kimberbell Cutie Table Topper (January) - Pt 3 of 3: Using the ScanNCut and Simply Applique

- In this video, I'll show you how to cut the applique pieces using the ScanNCut. Also, you can use the scan from the SNC to create an applique embroidery file to use to stitch down your fabric pieces!!

I've been wanting a scan n cut for ages ... but create and craft are out of stock grrrrr i've been trying for weeks hehe
Thank you Becky! Great information! I have so many PES applique designs on dvds and would love to use my snc. Is it possible to convert those PES files to SVG or FCM files? Is there a different option I should be using to cut applique using the snc instead of in the hoop?
Hi Becky. Can you show how you set up the next stitch out of the stippling to see how to match up with the first stitch out?
Sure, I'll do that on the next one. I've learned to put some embroidery paper tape over the previous stitching and align it near that or erase over the tape.

Thank you - learned so much. You can set that outline stitch when you're doing the stippling to "no stitch" in the line properties box.
Although I just usually skip what I don't want too.

Hey what is the little tool holder on your scan n cut on the right side?? Also I have heard if you have fusible on your fabric you need to use the standard blade the black top one.

I have Embrilliance's Stitch Artist 2. Wouldn't I be able to create the custom embroidery files in SA2 instead of buying BES4 or Simply Applique?
Yes, you certainly can (I think). I'm not savvy with Stitch Artist as I'd like to be. But the simplicity of Simply Applique with a one-button click to create the 3 stitches for applique is so worth the $169 from Allbrands.

How did you get your thumbnailer to show fcm .
Double click the Thumbnailer icon on your desktop (or open it by typing in Thumbnailer in the start box) and when the control panel shows, look for the section on Other. FCM is right below SVG. :) Check it and then click OK.
@@PowerToolsWithThread ok contacted embrilliance my thumbnailer does not have these boxes to check but said it is up to date . Will keep trying
@@remington6363 It's like right in the middle of the screen vs. in the alphabetical list of all the machine file types.
in my Bes 4 the import fcm file is not lit so what is wrong
Not sure. You might try some basic trouble shooting: restart the program, reboot the computer, uninstall / reinstall BES4. Otherwise, recommend you call their support number. It's in the user manual. www.brother-usa.com/virdata/product_downloads/consumer/bes4%20instruction%20manual.pdf
