My Aunt Nancy who recently passed away lived for a long time on Park Ave. in Rochester literally down the street from that planetarium. She took me there multiple times as a child. She would sneak in homemade popcorn and candy in her purse for us. Such a found memory. Thanks for showing this record again. Oddly enough I saw a copy pop up in Sweden but it was spendy lol.

Hello Buddy. A couple of days ago I was just thinking that we're due another video from you, and here it is!
Now I had some weird coincidences that made me pretty much stop in amazement when watching your video.
The first one was your mention of Tim Clark. Just a few weeks ago I finally got a new, sealed CD copy of his 1990 CD 'Tales Of The Sun People' after tracking it down for quite some time, so it's incredible that the first artist you mention is one of my most recent additions. On top of that, I liked the album so much that I began to seek out what little else is available of Clark's solo stuff, and found an early Hearts Of Space release which I thought was just a compilation of tracks from their regular releases, but turns out there's 20-something minutes of unique Tim Clark music on there not available anywhere else, I believe some planetarium soundtrack stuff. I sure wish the soundtrack you showed was on CD, but man, that is one obscure record. I wonder what Clark's been up to!
Another coincidence-my mouth dropped on this one.. I was about 10 or 11 minutes into the video and for some reason I was thinking that I would love to see you do a full video just on Embryo and the whole band history that you know, favorite albums, periods of the band, etc. 3 minutes later you pull out an Embryo LP! I froze in place-I don't know what made me think of the band 3 minutes before you pull out one of their LPs!
And I have a Keikio Abe CD of solo marimba. I remember buying it blindly, not ever having heard of Abe, in the Tower Records 'Classical' section back in the 1990's.
Lury Lech? Sounds like something I have to check out.
I recall John Kaizan Neptune had a CD release back around 1988 on the short-lived JVC label. That's another one I regret not picking up at the time I saw it in the store. I love seeing all these ethnic music albums that you always feature.
That Roger Kellaway-wow, I know his stuff and I was totally unaware of that one or it's direction-I just can't picture him doing this modern electronic stuff.
The only thing I don't like about your videos is the fact that in very single one I end up adding more albums into my 'WishList'.
Anyway-hope you're doing well, take care buddy!
    -Gary

Well I guess Jung's synchronicity theory was in full effect brother..lol.
Glad you liked the Clark suspected you would be someone who would.
The other music I heard from him did not resonate as much as the last question but was still nice enough.
      Who does not love embryo..lol.
That would be a cool video..I do have a fair amount but still missing alot of the earlier ones and one key later lp..but yes a fantastic band all around.
Figured you might no abe's music and indeed you do..I had one of her denon lp's and sold it don't know why either!.
Lech and kaizan are both no brainers for you imo!..I think the lech is on cd or a cd comp exist..
Lol..well I can't be held responsible for that 😉..most of the lp's I show are on cd I think beyond private press or uber obscure ones..
I know you like to sample stuff anyway..so..😀.
The rest of the stack has more ethno 20th century and electronic so keep an eye out for that..😀..take care brother..much love chris

@@johncoltrane68 Yes the Clark I have is very different from the more abstract 'Last Question', which I liked very much....
I looked, sadly that particular Lech isn't on CD for some reason-I have to hope for a future reissue....
      Take Care brother-'till next time!

Love watching your videos Chris, I learn so much. I love the music of Embryo and Steig Aus is probably my favourite. Would love to get it's companion piece Rocksession. I'm intrigued by those Leucozyt and Lindwurm albums, never heard of them but love that whole scene. Liked what I was hearing of the Tim Clark album too. All the very best, Pete.

Hey there brother...thank you figured you are someone who does enjoy these..😀...would love to have rock session myself..lol..I love there entire catalog in general..just a great band..both of those are more obscure but you might enjoy them..
It is a rabbit hole to go down just the german jazz rock/jf I have been lost there for years still am..lol..maybe a theme video might be a good idea if enough people were interested.
Glad you liked the clark I do to..

Was lucky enough to see Embryo live in London a couple of years back. It was post the passing of Christian sadly, but his daughter Marja is doing a great job in keeping his spirit and vision alive. Take care my friend - looking forward to your next video.

The usual mix of jaw dropping, obscure, mind-blowing and interesting records. The Tim Clark bgm was very nice. The shops are not going to start opening here until the 12th April at the earliest. It will be 4 months of lockdown at that point.... At least I get to enjoy (through gritted teeth lol) what everyone else is picking up.... Good to see you well and on top form, Chris :-)

Hi Chris, I am always inspired to check out the albums you have shown and it was a fascinating mix in this video. Love the Embryo LP with the crazy cover art. I like Embryo and wish their albums would be re issued as finding originals is difficult and expensive, Many thanks for sharing. All the best.

Hi brother..glad you liked the video.
I love embryo and have quite a few but ya the early lp's in particular in og form are very pricey..the particular one I showed a reissue of steig aus is very affordable and well worth grabbing and some of the mid to late 70's lp's remain reasonable in my experience..much love chris

Wow, beautiful LPs. I live near Rochester...going to have to dig up that Tim Clarke. I also just checked out Iury Lech which was just sublime. Fitting in with some current listening like Laraaji, Mother Mallard, Master Wilburn Burchette and Ariel Kalma. Love these deep picks, inspires me to dig deeper into areas I might not be giving enough time to. Thanks for this Chris!

Hello again Chris. I always save my favorites for the last view of the evening. It only took me fourteen hours to get back to it. {smile} I started off my re-introduction of jazz about eight years ago now. All thanks to the VC Jazzers and friends like yourself. I eased my way into my jazz journey listening to fusion. I am sure that you remember. Now I have been listening to all genres including free/avant garde which I love. So good to see that you found the copy of Embryo's 'Steig Aus'. I never saw that cover. I have been trying to find an original of that and Opal for a longtime. They are way too overpriced. I also dig the album 'Embryo's Rache'. I think the song is called 'Espagna Si, Franco No'. Its one of the longer tracks. So so good. Someone should just release a box set with the first five albums in it. Thanks Chris. This was nothing short of excellent once again. You constantly tune me into music that I have never heard before~

Heya brother, Nice! Appreciate you playing Tim Clark. Funny that album popped into my head just the other day. I just have the stuff he did on HOS. Of course, I love this. Wonderful cause with that second one. I like Thomas Chapin very much, and didn't know of that one. Very interesting...toy store. Really nice, Kaizan Neptune. One of the few I have by him. What a wild instrument on the Greek piece! Need to hear that Kellaway! Also Iury Lech....safe to say it's my thing?! :-D Happy to see you. Peace n love. -Carm

That chapin is different from his first lp the bell of the heart I believe but excellent and definitely something you would like..lol that kellaway will surprise you a real outlier lp and definitely a period piece but alot of fun imo..lech is a no brainer!..lol.

Great video, thanks! De Gladas Kapell are actually from Sweden. Coste Apetrea is probably best known from Samla Mammas Manna. Coste went to the same high school as me in a small town called Mjölby in the beginning of the 1970’s. He is a couple of years older and we didn’t know each other but I heard him play a few times. Outstanding guitarist!

I have one record from the Berlin Museum. Gendang Karo. The music is great but what really impresses me is the sound quality. the best sound quality on a field recording I have heard. will check out the Lindwurm (German word for a mythical creature, a snake-like dragon. looks similar to a wyvern) and the Iury Lech.
