Though Tejas was getting developed as a replacement of mig-21s, but now I guess it can also be used along with Mirage-2000s as well. The order number of 200+ shows how much our airforce have faith on this fighter.
Tejas mk1a is no doubt one of the most modern and capable aircraft on earth rn. But the main problem was its production, but i think that wont be any problem too, as we know the production limit have been increased to 16 aircrafts per year. Even though the first two years we will be seeing only 8 jets per year, but after that we will see a full scale production of 16 aircraft then 20 aircraft per year.

Mig 21 Bison belongs to II nd generation and Mirage 2000 belongs to IV th generation fighter jets.
Tejas is 4.5 generation fighter near to Rafale.

@@milindsherkar3346 even though the generation is high, the class is not. Tejas mk1a falls under light to medium weight catagory, so Tejas mk1a cannot be the replacement of rafale, but it can easily be used to replace the mirrages.
Tejas mk2 and TEDBF on the other hand will be rafale class fighter.

That requires a company that makes engines. HAL is not that company
even china is struggling with making their own engines, In fact there are only 4 countries in the world that can make engines for fighter jets, I doubt that day is coming anytime soon

Through proper funding and few more research in the core technology we may achieve 90kn+ thrust. It needs proper funding

और बेहतर एजीलिटी के लिए इसमें नेवल LCA की तरह Lavcons भी इंस्टॉल किए जाए।
और ये रिफ्यूललिंग प्रोब थोड़ा छोटा करे क्या अजीब सा एंटीना लगा दिया aicraft से भी बड़ा लगता है ये कभी कभी।
Weight bahot badegha or lca sabse chota jahaj hai gripen se 2 metre chota for bhi gripen main bhi MAWS nhi hai.. kyuki chote jahajo main jagah nhi hoti..
Jf17, fa50, kisi bhi lca jahaj mainaws nhi hai..
Ha lekin ve pylon integrated MAWS pe Kam kar rhe the pta nhi kya hua.

The Tejas MK 1A has been churned into a 4+ Gen fighter now, its avionics are state of the art. The IAF has directly jumped to GaN based Radars and avionics instead of GaAr that explains the delay into getting the Uttam Aesa. I second the opinion that its the best fighter jet in its catagory.

@@SunilKasheer it's not as amazing, it's cool and all and great that we've reached this stage, but we need to tone it down a bit. Because we still have a lot to work on, the rest of the world (or more like countries in the same economic bracket and above) are ahead of us in this regard.

I think something has happened but our defence projects are now taken seriously and are now completed on time. First, the approval for AMCA and now Tejas. If we continue this pace I think we can get Tejas mk2 by 2030 and Amca within this decade.

bhai i have just watched Nitin Ghokle's videos on HAL manufacturing unit on his channel StratNewsGlobal. wahan par Tejas MK1 and MK1A aircraft dono hi rakhe hai aur aapko is video ke alawa MKIA ka itne close visuals kahi nahi milenge. Can u check the video and tell us in future about the detailed changes on MK1A. Maine jitna dekha hai, i can see visual changes in coating and cockpit size, baki i am not a technical guy to tell other changes but i expect you can tell us in future whats are visual changes in both aircraft.

The bulbous canopy blending with dorsal spine root is off. The spine root needs to be conformal to the canopy. Hope HAL works on it. Currently it's looks like a jugadu solution. This may not be an issue domestically but will not work internationally

@@deltaandD7516 casual observation will not do. Carefully look how canopy end dips before merging with spine. It looks forced. Compare with canopies of Mirage 2000 pr a rafale Or even j17 bandar. You will come to know what I am saying. This bllending was there in old tejas. But in mk1a not there. Because forcing a new canopy shape in old frame
Fuel capacity can be increased there. Right now we need numbers they have said 97 orders will improve lets see..
Improvements potential exists in Tejas for further weight reduction. , extending the spine to match up with canopy..
With just increasing fuel capacity and tank size will increase weight..that's why somewhere else weight need to be reduced..they have said potential exists they brought down from 7.5 tons to 7 tons in mk1 & further 500kg in mk1A..
Pylon based MAWS is good idea too just like German milds maws

What is the difference between DRDO developed Angad electronic warfare suite and DARE-Elisra Mayawi self protection suite? Also I saw somewhere that Mk 1A will have DRDO developed ASPJ pod, DCMAWS and dual/quad rack pylon for missiles and bombs. Is it true?
Angad is jst a variant of Mayavi developed from TOT of Israeli Elisra and Italian Electronica.
Yes It would have ASPJ and Uttam from 61st Mk1A claimed by HAL chairman.
No MAWS on mk 1A and super sukhoi because it requires structural changes in airframe.
U would need fresh design like mk2 to incorporate it in designing phase.

Why tejas speed has been kept low as compared to other aircrafts. Interceptor should be fast, atleast 2 mach to decrease response time. Isn’t it ?

It is not a stealth fighter so it doesn't matter as long as that feature is available its fine. It is our first design so it is somewhat rough but i am sure in future we will also develop more attractive and slim fighter jets
