If we are planning to sell any product internationally , it’s marketing and publicity also very important, please learn how Desault Raffle F4 and Turkey’s Khan first flight promotion. I wish ADA and HAL for their success 🎉 and also equally urge them to act on promotion aspects.
All good to hear. This endeavor needs to move beyond a science project stage. If a small country like turkey can develop a 5th Gen aircraft in a tenth of the time it’s taken Tejas does not bolster confidence in the operationalization capabilities of this crew.
Turkey had developed domestic defence industry way before India. They had early movers advantage. You cannot compare it with India which just few years ago started domestic production and private players. The growth will be exponential for India after this, since the engine of domestic production is kicking up.

Actually IAF is struggling for low squadron of Aircrafts. Tejas Mk2 will be the game changer but production will start by 2028-29 and IAF has to retire fleets of Mirage 2000 and mig 29 by 2035. IAF must increase the squadrons that's why IAF needs MRFA.

Why is ADA hiring retired govt officials for Tejas project and that too for crucial components like Airframe? Why don't ADA hire young people who have cracked GATE or other competitive exams. This is with respect to the recent advertisement of ADA.
Great interview but I am very disappointed because aerodynamic improvements and weight reduction are not discussed. Wohi ghisi piti baate. I am interested in knowing aerodynamic improvements, loop timing improvements, AOA improvements if any, trans sonic acceleration improvements etc. I don't know why nobody discuss that.

Hal promise on deliver is like milk expire date.. it will expire 3 days after announcing. We are not expecting Hal to be like Lockheed Martin or boieng or dassault.. at least learn from Korea and turkey on delivery. I'm not HAL haters actually I'm HAL well wisher
The problem with DRDO/HAL babus is that they blatantly mislead about the capabilities and timelines. Sadly they have no qualms about shooting such wild statements! It is better to be professional and trustworthy even if it means more taking time and efforts!
Tejas design is not really appealing honestly, another thing which im not fan of is naming aircraft like Light Combat, Medium Combat.....why don't we just straight name it instead of giving name with weight category.
