Detroit diesel in the beginning of the video be like: hear the song of my people!
i am so amazed that so many engines were built all around the world. all with different horse power and purposes. engineering is very underrated nowadays.
*Overrated
Black pistol fire
Was stationed on the USCGC Polar Sea (polar class ice breaker). Had 6 Alco V16s for main propulsion and 3 Alco V8s for gen sets. Loved starting those engines.
Oh yes. You can feel in your bones.
The blown 540 chevy was the cleanest most smoothing running "big engine" I have ever known.
Probably cost the most by far
Wish I could put my engine on this channel. I've got a 1977 trans am with a four in the floor, took an engine out of a 1968 Hurst Olds 442. 455 in cubic inch with two four barrels from the factory. Took the top end off of it and put eight one barrel high-rise double pump carburetors. Got 771 horsepower with 917 ft lb of torque at the back tire. Only been beat once on the drag strip with it a man named boss Bishop with a 429 boss mustang with 1100 horsepower and two 60 lb wet shot nitrous. However, he only beat me by one and a half car links and I don't have nitrous or superchargers or turbo or any of the like. Straight raw powers all I've got.
Sweet👍
FODEN FD6 and Rolls Royce Griffon legit sounded so good
3:00 You just blew away all street engines and vehicles when this beauty showed up in the video!
The first Detroit sounded soo cool 😎
The Rolls Royce Griffon man ❤
- How many foot pounds would you like sir?
- Yes 🧐
00:12 That's a lot of torque! For comparison: The Koenigsegg Gemera is a four-seat hypercar that can do 0-62 mph in a claimed 1.9 seconds, but perhaps the most remarkable thing about this Swedish rocket ship is its 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-3, which makes a staggering 600 horsepower (plus 443 pound-feet of torque).
It’s called the Tiny Friendly Giant
Jesus that first one is straight out of mad max
Frac pump engines are beasts. Having about 20 pumping 100 barrels a minute is pretty awsome
Wait till there is 100 pumps on location
@@heelloverjones5948 100!!!?
*hell of a bench grinder you got there mate*
The first 1 looks like something straight out of mad max. An the 2nd one as well.
The diesel engine at 610 is a 731a caterpillar motor. It's got about 77 to 83 horsepower. Power of a engine is not in the horsepower, but rather in the rear end and the gear that helps produce the torque. For instance in a John Deere tractor or a caterpillar bulldozer, it might only have 40 or 50 horsepower but can push a house over. You can take a truck with a thousand horsepower and push it up the side of a house and it won't do anything but sit there and spend the tires. It's all about the gear in the rear end
The intro one was the best LMAO
9:03 that's the most powerful car i've ever seen.
The car is a motor
3:47 i bet if this dude walked into that propeller it would knock his glasses off : )
If I ever get back to my grandfathers house in Germany, imma try to start up the Panzer V that he has sitting in a barn.
Yes you should and upload it,goodluck.😁
I think the dragster shown at 5:00 was more than "around 1,000 hp. Maybe 2500 but not 1,000!
That 4.8l 2 stroke diesel engine sounds badass.
The Foxes FD6 MK6 was rated at 225HP was used by Leyland Trucks a division of British Leyland.
Awesome video ! 👍
Very very big machine
Hmmm on 4:00 they were busy on start up of quad turbocharger V16 Mitsubishi diesel SR16 marine engine. It has 170 mm cylinder bore. As I have rebuilt that one in generator drive 😉🇵🇰😎🇱🇷
Where’s the pro stock big block John Deere crankiness 2,000 plus horse💪💪Barkin flames as it warms up❤️❤️❤️
I was waiting for one of those Detroit’s to run away
6:27 looks like 4 Morris Minor engines bolted together
That Griffen would make a hellava lawnmower
4:56 and 7:20. Two different types of 10,000 HP.
03:37 THIS MAN IS EXTREMEDLY NEAR OF DANGER
If the dude with the long hair ever gets it in a belt, fan or any moving part it will go massive viral.
Which will.get them first, hearing loss or asphyxiation?
Put some exhaust on that 8v-71 Detroit at 2:15 and it will run better and get more HP too.
Nothing like the sound of 10,000 hp of a Nitro Burning Funny Car.
SO COOL!!!😂
can’t say I’ve ever seen a supercharged screaming jimmy
Can someone explain why if engine cylinder capacities are always in cc & not in, well in³ in UK & USA
Gosto desse barulho e o cheiro do diesel
The Packard engine is actually a straight 12 instead of a V.
Creyzi Nice
Надумал нахрен , глуши .....😵😵😵😵😵😵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👍👍
I see cars related things in this video
I'm wondering if a modernish engine (EG 2JZ) would provide better fuel economy and higher HP numbers than the airplane engines that they used on these demonstrations...
K swap turbo Cessna. Nice.
Supra kid
👍👍👍👍
what a sexy engine at 4:10 !
True fact Rudolph diesel created these awesome engines
Shout-out to the dude whose throttle is a pair of vice grips! 2:30
Got a problem with one!!! Near 8:00,,, 42 litre Packard,,,,,, V-12,,,,,,, if it IS a V-12 how are ALL 12 exaust pipes on the same side of the head???? In line 12,,, or V-24 maybe????? Sweet looking car either way!!!
Glad I’m not the only one noticed that. Way too many exhaust pipes on one side.
I'd like the one at 9:20 to power my snow thrower.
9:02 forbidden shopping cart
Imagine Greta spending a whole month to create almost 3000 accounts just to press dislike on each of them :)
"You've stolen my childhood!" 😂😂😂
Can it fit with my honda?
600hp whit 12 cylinder mo GOOD

3:23" , 125Hp?????
0:11 it sounds like somone spanking
You're doing it wrong..
in the american garage there is always a guy with a bandana
Don't show me a thumbnail of a BIG engine and then show me all these little things.

How the first two engines are big?
1350hp
my 1271 didn't take that long to start even with a busted rod. something is wrong with that one. maybe mine was stock
عااااااالی
1,500 hp...lets see that really "develop" that do the ground eh?
your 1000 hp dragster was more like a 8000hp funny car
I thought this was gonna be a scotty kilmer video
Bro how did the first one even fit in that car
No problem
💪💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍
first one is the best one. Damn! It sounds amazing
CLICK BAIT..
I wanted to see the big engine on the thumbnail..
Denis Yakovenko
It looks like it came out a pyramid
Same
Word to my mother that's the only reason I clicked on this video
Thanks, i won't watch any further.
I bet that was let down ( that's why I watched it too)
That first engine, actually sounds scary, that idle is just menacing 😂
Yeah right
The idle sounds like it's in need of serious tuning IMO

4:58 The guy with the guest badge in the background doesn't want to become deaf. I guess the mechanics have lost their hearing a long time ago...
bothermetomorrow can confirm, source> I work in a shop with assholes who use loud tools every 20 seconds without warning anyone
I've heard those v8s b4 and it feels like your ear drums are about to pop
They wont lose hearing 😂
WHAT!!
@@chunkiermango7982 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the first one sounds so awesome!
Nice engines man especially the detroit diesel v 71 and The other engines sounds good too but as always good video ;-)
@ Antonio: I used to work at a Detroit Diesel dealer that had a "Speed Shop" for high performance modification (Key Power in Miami). Plus, my great-grandfather used to be the GM automobile and diesel distributor for the Cayman Islands (GM Diesel became Detroit Diesel, and I believe was later bought out by Mercedes).
So, yeah, I still like the old Detroits : )
P.S., also worked at a CAT dealer (Kelly Tractor); still like the older CATs, too!
Yes I agree. Best one

Man, that Detroit 6v92 sounds SOOOOOO GOOD! That and the Foden, that bastard sounds like it wants to run hard!
Also, I'm pretty sure the guy cranking the Rolls is COMPLETELY DEAF BY NOW!
Not sure why that model of Foden is here under big engines, very much one of the smaller ones that they built.
Can't deny that they do sound good though.
That first engine looks like a beast.
>[*. Nn
The rat rod looks nice👍👍
3:48 This Mitsubishi V16 diesel sounds magic! This is the old and lovely round diesel sound that I like!
that engine is in vietnam and that is ship engine
Are those 4 turbos at the top there?
@@truongthcstranthitiethuyen9951 no shit
Pretty cool stuff didn't even know some of those engines even existed learn something new every day!!!
That was awesome, haven’t seen a Cat D399 in 40 years , used to work on them in towboats on the Columbia River, they sure put out a lot of black smoke in those days and the engine rooms would get vary dirty, the exhaust systems would leak a lot.
Had one in my tug boat back in early 80 s
If a cat isn't leaking oil... There's no oil in it👌
A marine engineer said to me one day on my boat looking at my twin 350 cats what does cat stand for?
I looked at him like wat a stupid question.. obviously Caterpillar
He go no .. Cummins after this
7:23 Is a French Duvant 9 V.O.S engine made for generator inside hippodrome in case of power cut.
-9 cylinders

-1600HP at 428 RPM (NOT 10,000)
-3.5 tons
-6 meters of length 3.5 of height

Fascinante! \o/
7:39 Thats a HUGE engine!
Pretty sure this is a desiel engine used in massive ships.
0:55 looks like something out of mad max
Wow. With an intro like that, I half expected to hear the phrase "Rev up yer engines!"
ugj
The Rolls sounds lovely.
6:28, same motors they use on oil rigs to keep power to it
Yep, worked on a rig that had 8 of those. Usually ran off of 6, and had 2 back ups.
Imagine putting a Steering wheel and connect the transmission to the rear tires on that Rolls Royce Griffon... What a go kart
Sum mad cunt back in the day used a Merlin engine in a racecar.... Madness
Love the Detroit buzzin dozen
Thank you I appreciate it
Now thats an intro!!!
Oh how this reminds me of my old job lol.
@@slovakiak1 uh huh, I got surgery now Im an RB26 and live in a R34 Skyline.
2:54 6v71N 235hp @2350rpm 600ftlbs@1800rpm that is assuming n65 injectors. That motor is also marine style so has the low pro reverse rotation pump. Unless the motor is reverse rotation for application requested. The Detroit's came in everything and almost every one has slight differences.
The Hot rod tho.... 👍👍👍
5:10 all these badasses with no ear protection.
thats just for safety sissies. HUUH WHAAAT?
The day I stop protecting my hearing is the day I die haha
Good video, thank you.
Hearing that first one the Detroit diesel fire up and lope made shiver
I NEED ONE OF THOSE ENGINE NOW
