Fascinating .....had to pause to grab a pen ☺ couple of the films you have mentioned I've never heard of.Heaver is a beautiful castle and when ever you visit you leave a bit of your heart there.
Wonderful and enjoyable video. Thank you. This has given me some films to be on the lookout for and some others to rewatch now that I know more about the location.
Isn’t Penshurst the only original “stately home” around in Tudor England that still has its original open fireplace in the center of its hall? (All or most were replaced with built-in fireplaces with chimneys). I think it might have been there where they shot the scene with Cromwell and Norfolk in the Wolfhall series, where the Duke has his boots up on the fire screen/fender. (That actor was so great in that series, Bernard Hill, was it)?
I attended Hever school during the 70s and visited the Castle a fair few times. I was in a BBC show filmed at the Castle,, I was filmed being lifted by Lord Astor and placed in to a pair of postillion boots . Sadly never aired but it was hosted by Stuart Hall so just as well really 😳
I'm from the US. I visited 1 year ago and was totally thrilled. big fan of the story and the castle.
Me too! I just visited and was thrilled.

I never realized that there is a little village right by the castle.
Imagine being evacuated to such a beautiful place!
Yes! There are some lovely retrospective accounts of it being a lovely place to be evacuated to.

Hever is used in the Tudors show too. Idk if it was the real Hever, but...
Very much a CGI Hever Castle!
@@DrOwenEmmerson had a feeling it was.

A very good video but the so called music started to grate after about eight minutes.😇
