  • Rokker very kindly supplied me a pair of their Rokkertech jeans to test out over a long period. Here's the how, why and what.... I did forget to mention that they come with D30 Knee Armour in the bag and they will take hip armour also. Oh and you get a free t-shirt....

    I bought a pair and I'm impressed with them. I went for the dark indigo blue Jean's which I preffered. My only gripe is the non adjustable knee pads seem to be when walking around under my knees. They are sold separately (d30 knee pads) so I just dont put them in. I have had a pair of rokker revolution Jean's, they are excellent but are a bit smooth And slip down a bit the rokkertech dont. They feel like a heavy but really good quality pair of designer Jean's. I would recomend both pairs of Jean's. The revolutions are better for winter months and seem to be warmer. The rokkertech are fantastic in summer just feel like normal Jean's.

      I prefer the Raw finish too. I reviewed the Revolutions a while ago, a very clever piece of kit.

      Thanks, there certainly are lots of cheaper jeans out there, but very few single layer offerings

      I had a pair of kevlar lined Jean's, I hated wearing them too warm, was like wearing a a nappy. I tried on a pair of revolution Jean's and they blew my mind. They are the closest thing to a normal pair of Jean's you will ever try on. So a pair of Jean's you can wear all day and jump on bike spot on.

    How does the 6.39s compare to more traditional riding jeans or textile pants? Do they have armor pockets? Looks like they do from the shots on the table.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  4 роки тому +1

      It depends on the jeans/textiles, but 6 seconds is good, particularly as they are only a single layer. They have armour pockets in the knee and hip and come with D30 armour for the knees in the bag. I forgot to mention thst in the video, but did note it in the comments

    Nice Vid Tony, i really like this shorter format. Alas £350 is too money for jeans!

      That's what I thought but I bought some and was not disappointed. If you join urban riders mailing list, on your birthday you get a 15% discount so you know why I got mi e for £290. Expensive but I feel worth it.

      Cheers Sam, I will still be doing longer gear reviews, but there are always items that need less detail. Plus it forces me to not waffle and capture all the info in a short amount of time. They are very very good, but £350 is a lot to drop on a pair of jeans. Preferable to a skin graft though!

    Hi I've a pair and they are fantastic. I have a pair of revolution and rockertech and am very Inpressed. The only gripe is the knee pads, I've just realised you can unpick the position and move them up or down to suite you on bike, this was so easy and I admit it was first time I ever stitched. The other thing that is game changer the d30 ghost armour, it's the latest so flexible, you can barely notice it is in the knee pockets and so comfy you just leave them in all time. Point is you can wear these Jean's as normal Jean's which are always ready to go. (Motolegends for ghost armour ) . Other point, rokker revolution for cold winter as warmer and rockertech cock on spring onwards. I've had revolution Jean's 3 years and rochertech a year.

      Did you get the jacket? Looking at it as a cooler alternative to the black jakket?

    • @judeoko
      @judeoko 4 роки тому

      @@domster200 I did, it's great, a fantastic summer jacket. What i like it's so casual you can use as a normal everyday coat. I did ride in March at about 7degrees and it was fine. Out today (work) at 18 degrees perfect.
      It is a jacket/ riding shirt somewhere inbetween. The quality is fantastic. You get comfort and safety which is important to me. It was by chance on a visit to London I happened on the infinity motorcycle shop (lost looking for bond st) and nipped in saw in the flesh and tried on a pair of rokker revolution Jean's. I'm old past my sell by date and I'm sure not their demographics but if you value quality and comfort and I would say style then they are for you. The jacket is perfect.

      I know helmets are ,I looked up the regs and it covers a lot of work related items. I'm not sure if motorcycle pants are covered under PPE or Personal Protection Equipment. You think it would be since its for safety.
      that regulation is VAT Notice 701/23
      I'm currently living in the USA and you pay tax on everything even safety equipment but in some cases you can deduct it as a work expense on the yearly tax returns.
