Well done Paul, I first started walking when I was 60 and the whw was my first. Now I'm 80 and it's gone, but boy, did it bring back memories. I was almost in tears. Ta mate.

Well I guess it's coming to us all! That's actually a big motivation for doing these videos. So others can experience these routes that can't or no longer can.... And I know I'll be there one day, so great to have these memories to look back on!

Hey Paul. Only just picked up on your channel. Literally took up trail running a few weeks ago. Coming from a lifetime of international pole vaulting (Junior to Masters) and not running more than about 30 metres (😂) it has been quite a change. But at 71 I am so excited by the new challenge. Love watching videos like yours. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. The videos are both enjoyable and inspiring. Good luck to you. I look forward to seeing you achieving more successes on your own journey. 👍🏻 Allan

Brilliant run as always, Paul. Love your content so much. Keeps me motivated to get out and challenge myself to do hard things (not quite as hard as this yet!). I’ve got my first ultras this year, UTS Snowdon and Endure 24, both of which you inspired me to enter. Keep up the great work.

Cheers man! Indeed, more effort editing than running 😂 The Arran Coastal way is great, just ashame they haven't created a trail down the north West Coast of it, means that side is mostly a road run! At least they are generally quiet roads!!

Really good vid, very relevant for me. I understand you’ll get asked these kinda things a lot - I’ve browsed ur previous vids and don’t see any prep detailed - but I’m wonderin ur rough time on feet and/or weekly mileage to achieve such a feat? Also do u have any weight trainin protocols that u maintain or one that u had in place for this specifically?
I’m hopin to take on the WHW next year, from the other side, and as someone who’s only maxed out at 40 miles on the flat once before, I’m just tryin to pick a few experienced brains before I push on.

Hi there! If you've got Strava, prob best look me up on there....Check out Paul Manson on Strava
      strava.app.link/1uTYGLK9PLb
I also do 2 weights sessions a week, 1 day on legs (split squats, deadlifts etc) then one day on some general upper body and core work. I do around 3 yoga sessions a week, just at home, bit of a fan of Yoga with Adriene! Running wise I'll try and do one hill session and one speed session a week. For the last year or so I've been doing one big ultra a month, which kinda keeps on top of the fitness. Inbetween I'll usually aim for around 100k a week.
      Hope this helps!
